This drone had so much potential, but as always we are honest with you guys. We are impressed with the flight characteristics of this quadcopter; however, when you pay $50 for a live feed camera drone, the camera and live feed should work. We tried to find this as a drone unit only for you all, but we were unsuccessful with that task. I would like to find out who decided R/C controllers should annoyingly BEEP, and especially "continuously BEEP" like this one does in headless mode, and "continuously SLAP" them really hard.

Great job on the review I agree if everything worked it would be worth the price with that said I just got the same drone I was surprised at how well it flew it's very easy Im teaching my 4 year old grandson on the drone he he's not having any problems leaning whats what on the controls and just like your drone mine would keep anything on the card either but still it's not a bad drone
Just got a couple Syma X20s for my kids to fly while I'm flying my Syma X5UC. Hoping to upgrade to some better drones at Christmas, but I figure these three will give us all something to learn on. REALLY tired of flying around the house, though (lol).
I really like it - it's a great drone to learn on, but it's got enough extra in it that someone who is more experienced can have fun with it. Camera quality isn't great, but it's passable. Flight time is a lot better than you'd expect for a cheaper drone. VERY durable. Only problem I've had is with wind - it's pretty light, and the wind can get a hold of it if it's stronger. Calm days it's a joy to fly, though.
What is with WiFi UAV's lately? Your not the only one but how many have you had lately the feed didn't work and now a few the camera not saving to the SD card. Such a shame it's got problems because it's a good looking and great flying little guy. BTW; Both the UAV and transmitter look like the H502E I'm looking at as I type. LOL
A little hard to be sure (no tree line to judge by) but it didn't appear to sink much in high speed passes which is a common problem with most toy grade quads as you know. Speaking of such things when flying at higher altitudes on clear days sometimes it's hard to see just how fast it is or how much a quad sinks when there's no backdrop to judge by. (You know me, gotta throw my two cents worth in. hehe)
Glad the weather cleared so you got a chance to fly, miss you guys when you can't post a day or two. Your usually the last video before the computer shuts down for the night and on that note..... nity-nite.

I think either this particular quad has a bad camera board, or maybe the SD card has an issue.
I have 3 Hubsan X4's; they all fly amazingly well, but one has a bad camera board and the camera has never worked (sad). A replacement board costs only like $20, but I have never bothered to replace it.
As a sidebar... I'm wondering if I can buy a replacement drone camera board, and McGyver it into one of my planes. Anybody have any insight?

TheRcSaylors It was the only way my Alfie drone would work. Someone suggested a different app,and it worked! I say use what works best.

hi guys great review I had problems with the app on a cheap quadcopter I purchased with the same problem as you have and I downloaded an app call ufo drone and used it on that app and it worked fine it may work on that quad who knows give it a try good luck peter uk

First of all, thank you again for your Facebook give away!!! I am looking forward to getting my RC truck...and I will take some video of it in action when I get it...even if it is in the snow...I do live in Canada, aka The Great White North! :-)
It's too bad that the video side of things didn't work on this drone since it seems to be such a great flyer!
With a WiFi drone like this, have you tried going to the "home" IP address? Most things WiFi based things (like wifi routers or wifi smart doorbells) usually use the a ip address of 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 for the "host", in this case, the drone, and give your phone an IP address of 192.168.0.2 or something like that. If you open a browser after connecting to the drone and go to 192.168.0.1, or 192.168.1.1, see if you can access anything...you might be able to access some controls like you can for a router!
I only ask since I don't have a WiFi drone myself.
p.s. Did you friend ever find his drone in Death Valley?
Farrell McGovern It was a plane,My daughter spotted it and circled the place she found it. I hope the guy found it as it was in a bad area. Was there a lost drone too? Wouldnt surprise me. Yeah there was a plane lost there too. I would love to fly there someday.

Good quad, quite,nice visible lights. Overall I like it. Except the wi fi. Even so, fairly long flight. Abby admit it you were trying to get the quad to flip blades down. ☺. Nate I'll trade you some of that rain, for some of our heat. 😥😥. Three some months of 98+ degrees, about 10 of those 108-112 degrees 😈😈😥😥😥.
