My P4XL also failed on launch day. It had a 'unable to read battery' error issue and would only work while plugged in. I contacted Google and they are RMAing it and sending me a new one. I still preordered the P6Pro though.....
I’m so confused at this point! Some reviewers saying this is getting great battery life with heavy usage, MKBHD saying 3.5 to 4 hrs SOT. Some reviewers saying the screen doesn’t get bright enough, others saying maximum nits brighter than the iPhone. Some reviewers saying the photos are the best they’ve ever seen, others saying they look cartoonishly overprocessed. I know a lot of this is subjective and also based on how the phone is being used, but I just feel like the reviews for this phone seem to be uniquely all over the place.
I feel like this is just an inconsistent phone, whether it be inconsistent quality assurance or inconsistent software features in relation to the camera processing.
I got my pixel 6pro whe it launch to replace my s21ultra. Battery life is getting you through the day, a bit better than my s21u(exynos). Screen brightness, well, its crap, the auto-brightness dims too much when it shouldn't be. In direct sun it doesn't always "brights up" like my s21u does . In any environment the s21u gets blighter than the pixel 6 pro. Camera on pixel is OK, 2 areas where it kills my s21u is at shutter speed and portrait shots ,(rear camera as selfie is shit, pixel 3xl had an excellent selfie camera, but not 6pro) very clear and sharp image with natural colours. You can't use the wide cam for portrait shot like on s21u. The 6pro display has big curved edges, resulting in bigger reflections The fingerprint scanner on the 6pro is a miss every other try Overall s21u is a much better phone than the pixel 6pro
@@CG-Bloxfruit I totally agree on every point. Tried the Pixel 6 Pro to compare against my Ultra. The battery on the 6 Pro has been fantastic but everything else pales in comparison to the Ultra. And the usual reason I get Pixels - the software - isn’t holding up this year either. I don’t love Android 12, and Samsung’s customisations are far superior. Truth be told, I’m enjoying the iPhone 13 Pro better than either of them, and I’m typically an Android person.

I'm not a fan of the iPhone OS, so the fact the camera holds up fairly well against it is a huge selling point. That's all I was waiting for! Thanks for he great review!
I had iphone for 10+ years. They're hands down the best phones but also by FAR the most boring phones of all time. I won't be going back anytime soon until they actually change anything about their phones. But if you're someone who doesn't care too much about the experience, then iphone is easily the way to go because they are by far the most refined and cleaned up OS.

First review of the day! I've been waiting on pixel 6 content since I got up for work lol. Good stuff man. I'm glad this phone seems to be good. I already pre-ordered the 6. I'm excited. Have a great one man.
I'm looking at starting a you tube channel and using my phone for this,.so for me if I've already got a pixel 5 there won't be much difference from the sound of things
So excited!! I almost left the Android landscape for iOS for the camera upgrade from the pixel 5. I pre-ordered a Pixel 6 Pro in Sorta Sunny. Pumped!!!
I ordered the pixel 6 pro. I've got the pixel 4 and I really wanted a phone that I don't have to think about changing for 3+ years. I really like the pixel 6 especially the price but the camera and screen swayed me.
That's also what I got... My P6 Pro should be coming tomorrow most likely, if not Monday then. So excited to get my hands on it. My P3 just died on me... It was a refurbished one off amazon tho. So I've been using my Moto G5 Plus.... Great phone and all, but its almost 5 years old, so the battery and just the speed of it has died from since I last used it years ago.
As of now, I have the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G phone. When it is time to upgrade phones, I am definitely getting the Google Pixel 6 Pro phone when our family contract is up with our phone carrier. I am sure I will get used to the Google system since I understand it is different than Android software
I catch shop lifters for that one massive retail chain and they like to run so it's nice to have a camera with a good telephoto lens to get a picture of their tag as they are ripping out of the parking lot. If that wasn't the case, I would have gone with the base Pixel 6
Had my Pro 2 days now and discovered it charges fine on the Pixel 5 stand plus if you select a folder in Googles photos it cycles thru the album displaying two great looking pictures top/bottom or ful screen while it is charging. MAGIC
It's exciting that Google made their own processor, I think this could lead to optimized apps for the first time (I think) for an individual android phone
Looks great. I still have my pixel 5. I love it and Android 12 is very nice. Im not about to change my phone but my next one will surely be another Pixel. 7 or 8….
I was hoping it to be more on par with the iphone video but I appreciate the comparison to the past pixels and other major league phones on the market. When I first heard how bad the comparison was to iPhones, I began to worry it was virtually unchanged. But I'm beginning to get the impression that it's still a major competitor even if it's not on the level of the iPhone.
It's also just beginning to ship. I remember there was a leak a few weeks back that said on October 27th Google would release a camera update to the pixel cam so maybe then it'll be way better
As iPhone pro 12 user. And yes I am aware of the 13 updated camera but I am sick of only hearing about its camera and 5 years of updates what else has Apple phones got that is so earth shattering.
Great review, I used to always use apple iphones. I then switched to the Google pixel 2 xl, 4xl at current. And look forward to getting this phone, they are definitely one to watch!
I've been completely torn between 6 and 6 pro. I prefer the cloudy white look but enjoy the 6 form factor. I'd love the pro for the battery, zoom, better screen and 120hz, just not sure if it's worth that price increase and it being so large. Not really into big phones. If I do get the 6, it would probably be sorta seafoam.
@@megaflager hi I heard it's a fingerprint magnet due to glossy surface with dark color. I would suggest the spigen rugged armour or the hybrid clear if you want to show the design. My cloudy white eta is Jan 2022 :( and I got the hybrid clear case)

Nice review. First time your channel was suggested to me. I've been holding out for this as the Pixel 5 didn't really excite me at all. Looks like a nice upgrade but I think I'm going to stick with my S21 for now. Trade in values Samsung have been offering are great! Last year traded a S20 for S21 basically for Free. Google's trade in values are weak in comparison. I'm going to wait and see what Samsung offers for the S22 Trade.
JSL Bro what an awesome review I love Pixel6 and Pixel6 Pro it's coming to India but I'm absolutely happy for Google finally they have delivered a solid phone I don't think Google want to compete with Samsung and Apple Google want to complete with itself and want to become a Reliable Brand in Smartphone and Pixel Features Drop will make this phone better day by day Tensor will become more stronger in future generations but I'm really impressed Google within the first attempt has made better chip than Samsung and that's supersized me a lot because Samsung had play a major role by making Tensor a first attempt successful chip
Pixel looks awesome! But a huge dealbreaker is the brightness of the display. It can only go 500 plus nits which isn’t bright at all to be honest. Living in Singapore which is super bright at times this screen will struggle so much. Hopefully it gets better in e next one!
Thanks for the review man! This is the 2nd video I've watched on your channel... I'm subscribed now... BTW your lil boy is cute! Looks to be around the same age as my son
That is some high praise coming from an apple fan boy!! In all honesty if Google works as hard as apple at the software side of things it's game over for samsung but that's a big if
Their is no speaker on the rear of this phone, their is a speaker at the bottom and at the top. Their is a small slit at the top because the speaker is faced up for the front speaker. It isn't a glass vibrating speaker such as the pixel 5.
Some times one video is enough to subscribe for. Very pleasant review, and some mentions i haven't heard from others. One of the better reviews i have seen, and i'm on the hypetrain so i have seen many ^^, Nice work!
I bought the pixel 6 pro. I have noticed an issue. During a call, When I put the phone to my right ear, the sound is fine. But when I put it in my left ear the voice drops quite a bit. Almost 50%. Google sent me a replacement phone, and that had the same issues. My left ear is working fine, just in case you are wondering. My friends tried it too. Same issue. Does anyone else have the same issue?
Fellow Illinois resident hey! Mine is taking forever to arrive, at least it feels like it anyway. What is the bitrate of the recorded audio from the video camera? No reviewer has touched on this so far, My current LG V60 can do 2304kbps audio in manual/pro mode but only 128 AAC in Auto. Hopefully it's at least 224k.
I don't really think you can compare it to the Samsung Ultras and Apple Pro Maxs bc it's not really in the same league, BUT, the fact that it can almost keep up with those $1,100+ phones while only being $900 is REALLY good. Definitely worth it
Seeing as how the pro wouldn't get delivered until January, I pre-ordered the regular 6. I'm curious how it'll stack up against my s21 ultra... Also time stamps would be a great idea..
The most glaring problem is an outdated 5G modem and sad none of the reviewers tested or compared cause I would bet the difference in performance to Qualcomm flagship phones considerable....
People interested in this device should remember some points. The Tensor SOC is based on the Exynos 2100. Samsung has till today heat management issues with there exynos chips so does the Tensor. The modem used in the pixel 6 and 6 pro are using lasts year Samsung modem and it's behind Qualcomms modems. The display on the pro version has on light backgrounds weird shadows where the oled is curved.
@@vikass3838 The battery life is fine. I get a full day out of my 6 Pro without fail. 10 days of using it and so far my only gripe would be the finger print sensor which can be erratic. Other than that, it's outstanding
Jason give me advice over here. I recently got IPhone 13 mini after using Pixel 4XL for a long time. I’m still eligible for a return for the iPhone and get a Pixel 6 ( I live in the Netherlands so pixel 6 is approximately 160 euros cheaper). Size doesn’t matter to me, I got 13 mini cause it was the cheapest new iPhone. What do you think is a better phone ? I’m gonna use either device for minimum 3-4 years. (It won’t officially launch here but thanks to fnac I can get it here in the Netherlands easily)
oh man that's a tough one, I'm a huge fan of the 13 mini - but if you only got it because it's the one within your budget and you like larger form factors, the Pixel 6 is going to be quite attractive. Have you used Android phones in the past?
@@JSLReview thanks bro. Great work. Love the cinematography. Will have to pick this up for when my pro turns up in a few days. Need to decide between the black and the white. Tough choice!
I like them both, they are close enough in size that I'll keep the Pro and my daughter can have the 6. Only been using them for 2 days now. My P5 will be my backup phone. So far Nova has been working fine in Android 12.
Great video, buddy! I'm quite impressed with the phone as well, although I can't afford to plop out $900. I don't need a replacement for my 3A yet, so I'll wait and see if I can find one of these used in a year or two...
Other than the horizontal situating, I don't think it looks at all the same. The S10 really looks like every Galaxy camera bar, just knocked sideways, that doesn't cover the device. This is a big, statement making bump that spans the width of the device. I see the similarity, but I think they're more different than they are the same.
are you sure your P6Pro is coming tomorrow I ordered mine the day of event when it was crashing for most people during the stream. Mine says Nov 2. I got my Google Pixel Buds A Series today and they sound amazing. If you ordered several things make sure its not just the pixel buds a or a power brick or other accessory.
This one hasn't even got it first Pixel feature drop update yet, give it a few months for Google to unleash that Tensor chip and we'll truly see what's capable of.
Awesome review brother. Just fyi I don’t know if you meant it but when it reads security it says “ secrurity” regardless love your hard work and content. At “8:52”
The pixel 5 is not that bad of a device. The pixel 5 is a solid device for people who use social media and UA-cam and text and send pictures. The camera on the pixel 5 is still awesome too. Sure it's not as good as the pixel 6 but let's be honest. Real world picture are great on the pixel 5
My Pixel 2 still holds up very well and I pre-ordered it exactly 4 years ago. In that time I changed the battery on it and it works like a charm. The only problem I have is that I dont get updates anymore - otherwise I would definetely keep it for 1 more year at least. That phone is unbreakable. I think it is quite telling if you are considering Pixel.
Nice review. I am waiting or my cloudy white 6 pro..eta is Jan 2022 :( Sure it's not perfect, but overall a great package at a "reasonable" price (by today's standard). Video still not at iPhone level sure, but howuch does 256 and 512gb iphone 13pro max cost? No samsung bloatware is a plus. At this point two ways Pixel 7 pro can improve further are: 1) Ask TSMC to make the CPU 2) Use Sony for image sensors, and lenses
I think the pixel 6 is the better deal because it $300 cheaper and really you are not missing a hold lot and the pixel 6 is like a high Mid ranger and the pixel 6 pro is a flagship phone
By the way, what is the best music player app to use for Google Pixel 6 Pro phone if I decide to get it? Any suggestions? Because I was wondering if Musicolet app will work good for Google Pixel 6 Pro phone. So what do you use as your main device? Are you IOS or Android?
That is some high praise coming from an apple fan boy!! In all honesty if Google works as hard as apple at the software side of things it's game over for samsung but that's a big if
Their is no speaker on the rear of this phone, their is a speaker at the bottom and at the top. Their is a small slit at the top because the speaker is faced up for the front speaker. It isn't a glass vibrating speaker such as the pixel 5.
Great review bro! Can't wait to see the long term review of this one. Awesome job!
Thanks man, appreciate it!
Definitely worth it
It's only $200 less. lol
@@thickseed yeah, 18% cheaper, which is pretty substantial
Seeing as how the pro wouldn't get delivered until January, I pre-ordered the regular 6. I'm curious how it'll stack up against my s21 ultra... Also time stamps would be a great idea..
Who did you order it through? Im getting mine through Verizon and mine is being delivered Thursday.
Great Review. Are you able to share that beautiful wallpaper
I've ordered the pixel 6 pro, been using the huawei p30 pro and that's been incredible. I hope I don't regret ditching my Huawei
I am upgrading from P20pro skeptical about 6 pro because of some negative reviewz
Mine 6 pro is being delivered on Thursday! Can't wait!
Just watch the earlier sneak peak and subscribe and go to main page and came here.. you have just upload this video.... Great Work here Jason!
Appreciate the support, glad you enjoyed the vids!
Where did you get those wallpapers ? 😍
Can't wait to buy the 6 pro that phone is really good
It’s pretty dang impressive no lie
10:55 this actually happens to me A LOT on my previous 12 Pro Max, & now my 13 Pro Max. It’s frustrating.
link to the wallpaper @1:20 please!
Cannot wait for tomorrow! My P6 Pro is coming home. Excited beyond belief 👌
How's the battery life?? Is it real bad as reviewers are making out?
Waarom lieg je?!
@@faaas1965 ik ben niet aan het liegen
Bro get a pixel
oh man that's a tough one, I'm a huge fan of the 13 mini - but if you only got it because it's the one within your budget and you like larger form factors, the Pixel 6 is going to be quite attractive. Have you used Android phones in the past?
@@JSLReview I was using Pixel 4XL before this and I had no issues with it except for the battery. Size doesn’t matter to me much.
Whats the app you use for wallpapers? There are some amazing ones there. Great review!
Backdrops - it’s fire🔥
@@JSLReview thanks bro. Great work. Love the cinematography. Will have to pick this up for when my pro turns up in a few days. Need to decide between the black and the white. Tough choice!
I just spent 20 mins getting lost in that app. I just got my Pro the other day so I'm in need of wallpapers. Thanks for sharing!
I like them both, they are close enough in size that I'll keep the Pro and my daughter can have the 6. Only been using them for 2 days now. My P5 will be my backup phone. So far Nova has been working fine in Android 12.
A very informative video review about the Pixel 6 Pro. Helping people to consider before buying.
Thanks for the feedback, glad the video was helpful!
Great video, buddy! I'm quite impressed with the phone as well, although I can't afford to plop out $900. I don't need a replacement for my 3A yet, so I'll wait and see if I can find one of these used in a year or two...
I wonder how people forgot S10. It looks pretty much the same with that horizontal camera bar
Other than the horizontal situating, I don't think it looks at all the same. The S10 really looks like every Galaxy camera bar, just knocked sideways, that doesn't cover the device. This is a big, statement making bump that spans the width of the device. I see the similarity, but I think they're more different than they are the same.
Applying for "insignificant detail prize": nice Keychron keyboard in the background :)
Could you please provide the wallpapers link???
Can't wait to get my white pro! My OP 7pro has been fantastic but this should be a worthy upgrade.
Pro... but it's just a little TOO big... but mine is arriving tomorrow so I'll have to learn to live with it!
are you sure your P6Pro is coming tomorrow I ordered mine the day of event when it was crashing for most people during the stream. Mine says Nov 2. I got my Google Pixel Buds A Series today and they sound amazing. If you ordered several things make sure its not just the pixel buds a or a power brick or other accessory.
@@ZacharyTech7 yep have the delivery tracking. I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.
@@lehoff So do I and I got a package today it was just the pixel buds 2 make sure it's not just an accessory no one else has delivery this soon.
@@ZacharyTech7 I didn't buy any accessories. It's definitely coming tomorrow, according to DPD. If not it'll be wednesday.
What is the blue diagonal stripe wallpaper called?
Edit: Backdrops...found it in another comment. Thanks!
Preordered the pro last week, had to catch the review finally
My 6Pro comes in tomorrow. Can't wait to try it out.
Can you please check if you can connect more than 1 bluetooth devices simultaneously ??
This one hasn't even got it first Pixel feature drop update yet, give it a few months for Google to unleash that Tensor chip and we'll truly see what's capable of.
The standard 6 is an easy buy for me. I don't like that they nixed the colored power button tho.
Awesome review brother. Just fyi I don’t know if you meant it but when it reads security it says “ secrurity” regardless love your hard work and content. At “8:52”
What wallpaper app do you use?
Backdrops - thank me later
The pixel 5 is not that bad of a device. The pixel 5 is a solid device for people who use social media and UA-cam and text and send pictures. The camera on the pixel 5 is still awesome too. Sure it's not as good as the pixel 6 but let's be honest. Real world picture are great on the pixel 5
I'm getting the Pixel 6 pro coz I don't want to miss out on any of the camera features, but the Pixel 6 is the better value
Under display top speaker? Are you sure?
What's the yellow wallpaper?
My Pixel 2 still holds up very well and I pre-ordered it exactly 4 years ago. In that time I changed the battery on it and it works like a charm. The only problem I have is that I dont get updates anymore - otherwise I would definetely keep it for 1 more year at least. That phone is unbreakable. I think it is quite telling if you are considering Pixel.
I wish it had the touch sensor on the back.....such a staple and a great feature.
Nice review. I am waiting or my cloudy white 6 pro..eta is Jan 2022 :(
Sure it's not perfect, but overall a great package at a "reasonable" price (by today's standard). Video still not at iPhone level sure, but howuch does 256 and 512gb iphone 13pro max cost?
No samsung bloatware is a plus.
At this point two ways Pixel 7 pro can improve further are:
1) Ask TSMC to make the CPU
2) Use Sony for image sensors, and lenses
Thanks for the great review!
Thanks for watching!
Nice review Chef John errr I mean Jason. Keep up the good work. 😜
Great review! Love your videos~
It’s will be my first android phone bye iPhone.
I have been using Musicolet app for about a year now & I wonder if Musicolet app can work smooth with Google Pixel 6 Pro. Please help me out if possible about which music app Google Pixel 6 Pro is recommended?
This phone is just hype for now but I think it will have too many technical issues I would suggest to wait and see experienced reviews before buying
Just ordered mine
Hey guys - is the brightness really bad on this phone? I've pre-ordered it but hoping the screen isn't bad in daylight. Stay safe people!
Please improve mic quality. Volume is low.
Can't wait to get mine.. 6 pro Sorta Sunny..
Great color choice
@@JSLReview thanks and have also ordered the Google made cover of the same color.. any idea if it's good enough ?
