Bad experiences in the past with iOS on my old iPhones and now even with my OnePlus 7 Pro have soured me on these updates. All right. I think is time for me to move to IOS. I had waited all this time for Google make phone just like Pixel 3. Don't get me wrong. I really do think the Pixel 6/6 Pro are steps in the right direction, but the Iphones are just better at overall aspects and day by day situations. Pixels phones used to be the kind of phone that just take of your pocket, open the camera app and take a nice and clean photo without any trouble. It's suppoused to be THE BEST Android experience That's not the case anymore. Android 12 "pure" still lacks a bunch of usefull teaks that you can find even on Xiaomi phones. Even in the night sight that Google's made a really impressive work using just one camera on Pixel 3/ 3 XL is not good as used to be. Their competidors are making the same job or even better. The camera software really need an update to correct, at least night sight and portrait mode. I think that Google misses Marc Leroy more the it thinks. I will really miss the fact that I will no longer will be able to use modded apps like UA-cam Vanced or WhatsApp +, but I can stand anymore. Perhaps Tensor will be matured enough in Pixel 8 or 9. Or maybe Google place's belongs making a devices like Pixel A series and give up to try to do something called "flagships". Great video.

The problem is all the bezel-phobic people out there. Folks lust after the thinnest bezels, and time after time (esp. now), people complain about how big the Pixel 4's forehead was. From that perspective, Google gave the people what they want. You cannot get secure face unlock without either a notch or thick top bezel. It's just not possible. I have the 4XL, and the top bezel is literally a non-issue. When I'm viewing content, all I see is the screen. @@samodsdsds3536 Exactly my feelings too.
Size / Aesthetics are big misses for me. Everything else I love. I'll stick to my 4a and 5a for now. The 5a was already a stretch of how big of a phone I can tolerate.
I have the 5a and it's the biggest I'd wanna go
I have a Pixel 5 and it honestly serves me very well, I wouldn't mind holding onto it for a few more years but the Pixel 6's camera is too good for me to pass up. I'm an avid photo taker. If I wasn't getting the Pixel 6 I'd probably trade in for a 5a for the battery and bigger screen
Pixel 6 reviews going up. Work productivity going down.
some say he's still zooming in on people over the bridge to this day
its complete in-house Google product. like tesla. gets better over the years via updtes
Wait for the new software uodates for it performing like this for a first gen chip without its full optimization yet is insane lol loke the software alone is going to be nuts we legit aleesdy have a huge camera update coming on the 27th guys wait until we see that it's going to be awesome I can't wait to see the performance 6 months down the road hell a year this is the only phone I've ever wanted and go wow I could keep it for years because of software Google software alone will make this phone outperform every other phone out right now mabye even 2022 phones who knows lol
Amazing review! Keep up the great work.
Will be trading pixel 5 for the 6 pro. Great video as always.
Let's get it
LEETTT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Could you show magic eraser Damien
Nice Job, Damien
Wow a review that does more then review the camera.
This guy went on and on about the antenna 😅🤣 wow. Lol
The last shots nexts to the nexus 6p 😭
Miss that phone
You can't use UA-cam Vanced anymore? I'm guessing you mean if you decide to go iOS?
Disappointed in how narrow the wide angle is
Thumbs down inside two minutes for requesting that Google but the budget/mid-tier design of the regular Pixel onto the Pro. Terrible advice. Would be nice if the phone was smaller, and I agree the plastic antenna band on the top is absolutely hideous.
I was never waiting for a comically gargantuan Pixel phone. Hopefully next year there will be a mid-sized Pixel 7 Pro.
The Google Pixel 6 Pro generates a glitch that was predictable in the camera: lens flare
yeah that's pretty annoying that it does
@@DaveStern2 maybe we can magic eraser it away? ;)
@@laurarucker yes will try for sure, tbd on how well it'll work! hopefully if it's true ML, either the eraser or the image processing can learn to look for lens flare and get rid of it or ask whether it should. all TBD!
The lack of autofocus on the ultra wide is, for me, a huge and unnecessary omission.
Face unlock should be there to use as a choice ... Google seem to be following apples no choice option 🤬🤬🤬
I would have preferred a thick top bezel to get face unlock; however, face unlock and masks don't mix. So if I have to choose one, fingerprint reader it is for me.
@@LDavis agreed , a fingerprint sensor would have been ideal . When something works , don't change it !! Simple really , its only when tech gets in the way and becomes a new , unproven , selling point that consumers get sucked into it are forced to buy into it . 🤬😭 .
I don't like how large it is and I really don't like Android 12 material you. Battery life seems sub par. If you are going to make the phone so big just make it thicker and out a huge battery in there.
Pixel 6 Pro next to Nexus 6P shot makes me cry. 😭
Looks like Nexus 6P
Miss that phone
I love this gentleman who is doing the video he is great he does great videos
So the takeaway?
It's nearly as Good as Samsung in terms of display and it's nearly as good as Apple in terms of photos?
So basically, it's mediocre?
For less the price. So it makes sense.
@@YoYo-uh3xj Or just pay a bit more and get a better phone?
The Pro is way better than Apple (iPhone 13 Pro) when it comes to photos.
@@paul_ko I have yet to see a reviewer that says it's, "way better".
In fact the first review I watched today rated the iPhone 13 as better.
I know this may sound totally shocking.
I know this may just blow your mind a little bit .
But photo quality from a phone is extremely extremely extremely subjective
Preorders mine
So it's begun
but does it work good with Snapchat? Who cares about the phone if the apps dont run as good as they do on Apple!!!!!
Iphone or android. No phone truly behaves really well after 2-3 years. Those new updates mess up the old devices. How many percent of ios user are keeping phone for 6 years or even 3 years. If someone can afford iphone then for sure they can afford another iphone in next 3 years and apple software updates will make sure of that 😉
My galaxy s10 still works very well
Sticking with Google, pixel 6 pro, bro
