Israel has been pursuing this program since the NAKBA 1947-49, when 700,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes and 50,000 were killed.

When I read through the comments, I feel so discouraged by the lack of education about the U.S. involvement in the creation of the state of Israel and our continued military support of Israel that is central to the current war. Our government has always been heavily involved in the affairs of Israel and it is NOT out of bounds for a member of the U.S. Senate to comment on how Israel has conducted this war.
The ignorance masked by contempt in the comments is mindboggling.
October 7th was just one more battle--not the last--in the 75-Year War in the Middle East because of endless illegal Occupation, Siege, Apartheid, Invasion of the West Bank, and restriction of the rights of Muslims in Israel proper by the authorities. NOTHING just started on Oct. 7th. Over the last decades, 700,000 illegal Orthodox settlers have invaded the West Bank and taken over land, water rights, and homes in defiance of international law. In 2014, IDF forces slaughtered 20 times more than so-called militant Hamas. BOTH Israel and Hamas are terrorist states that commit genocide in violation of the Geneva Accords. Both are rogue nations that defy the international Court of Justice and its condemnation of their shocking warfare.
