      The second beast was given power to give breath to the image of the first beast, so that the image could speak and cause all who refused to worship the image to be killed. 16 It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, 17 so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name

    3:00 can it finally generate a truly random music playlist shuffle sequence?
    It seems like it always starts on the same song and play in the same sequence every day after.

      Music apps run on similar software, they can recognize patterns but not create its own. Runs on user navigation.

    • @AmbientMorality
      @AmbientMorality 5 місяців тому +1

      Random shuffle is easy, it's just that music shuffle is generally quite opinionated (don't play the same song twice in a row, don't play the same artist twice in a row, don't go too long without playing something from each artist) and those constraints seriously limit the randomness. On the other hand, a truly random shuffle sounds terrible.

    • @Jason.W.
      @Jason.W. 4 місяці тому

      @@AmbientMorality I think you’re talking about suggestions. I’m talking about the random shuffle within a set playlist.
      When I have a playlist, even on shuffle, it always starts playing at the same song every time with the same sequence after. It’s not a randomized sequence of the playlist. I like to listen to the songs I like, hence I picked the playlist. I just don’t want to listen to the same 10 songs every time. If I wanted that, i can just listen to the playlist not on shuffle.. Why call it shuffle, if it’s just a 2nd static sequence that’s different from the listed playlist sequence…

      I imagine it's more likely our portable tech will become more focused on being fastest to log in to remote virtual machines (VMs) running everyone's individual phone VM on a cloud server, maybe even a quantum one.
      It would become less important how fast an individual phone's CPU is, more important how strong its internet connection to the cloud 24/7 is. I think tech companies are heading in this direction

    Quantum computing is riddled with so many errors and so far no one has found any ways to do error correction. That's about the end of the intrigue or usefulness of this technology until a breakthrough solution is discovered. It's a money pit with no practicality until then, but totally worth exploring for the off chance that it should ever truly pan out. What people don't understand about spending on scientific research is that the value of the discoveries being made far outweighs the cost, even though the cost may be enormous, and never produce any useful results. Many advances are made after a technology has been abandoned and repurposed.

    It is really funny how we all forgot about the analog computers we once had being capable of many of those things quantum computers are praised for. Of course quantum computers will be great at at tasks neither digital nor analog methods would be able to solve. But there are many things quantum computers can't do and there are also many things analog computers can not do while analog computers might be able to solve many problems as well as quantum computers do. So at the end the final solution might be a hybrid computer system unifiying all advantages of all three paradigms.

      It depends on the technology used in quantum computers. Ion trapping quantum computers (likely the one shown here) require very cold temperature and cannot be scaled down beyond some limits. But there are other methods like photonic quantum computer or those involving inducing lattice errors in crystals etc, which can be scaled down, but are too remote right now. I like the 1,000,000 drawers example, but it's not necessarily correct. It's not that quantum computers would on average only need to search 1,000 drawers to find the sock, rather it's that in the same amount of time a quantum computer is just more efficient than a normal computer searching the drawers. So if it took the normal computer an hour to find the sock it would take roughly 0.002% of that time for a quantum computer to do the same thing, both go through the same amount of drawers. Both systems have the capability of finding the answer, the only difference is one being able to find the answer faster than the other, efficiency.

      Yeah exactly. Saying it they way she did made it seem like it had predictive capability which it probably could increase the likelihood but it couldn't foresee the future.

    a computer can't do anything humans can't already do or figure out. the only difference is that it will calculate things faster,but we have already given it all the answers

    I can't believe these google engineers are using this Quantum computer as a giant storage device when it was designed to solve equations.
