I literally came out to my dad today and he said, “you’re still my son and I’ll love you no matter what.” I cried so hard because I didn’t think he would because he’s a very religious man.

Childish, ditto. I was terrified that my radical rightwing religious authoritarian dictator father would reject me. I was shocked when he said those exact words. . . I guess we are blessed beyond understanding.

Hey Chris. Was checking out some of your older stuff. Saw you signing onto Crawford's onlyfans. You were talking about posing for nudes. Haven't signed up for your only fans yet I'll do that after I write this. Anyway. If you discover a photographer that you're totally comfortable with and they're creative (I specifically chose a guy for different reasons) posing nude is actually fun and a great experience. You'll also have a fantastic collection for future posts so I'd do several themes. Just my advice. Cheers!

What an awesome Dad! I'm in the Northeast too. My being gay is the one thing my dad doesn't really want to hear about. He knows; he accepts it; but he's also tacitly uncomfortable with it. Not in a hateful way, but in a "I just can't understand what you get out of it" way. Well Dad, I don't know what I get out of it either. It's just what I am.

Your father is very level headed and said some very true words there. I came out in 1990 and my father had a real struggle for years about my sexuality. He finally accepted my lifestyle and my husband, and would come and visit us in our home for holidays.18 months ago he sat me down and told me how proud of me he was, and how lovely my life and home is. (Nearly 30 years later) Then last may my father passed away and living in a different country to him, I couldn’t attend his funeral because of COVID 19 and lockdown. Moral of my story is, enjoy every precious moment with your father and just be yourself, cause don’t forget, he helped create you. Make your father proud too. Peace and love to all.

Great responses, Dad! Wish there were many more like you. I wish that gay kids could have real community support. There should by safe places and people who can chat and give gay kids an ear to listen and help them figure it out. When I came out as bi to my father he gave me the most heartbroken look. Then he said “a-are you are? I mean I know u r but when? How?” I was jus in such an embarrassed moment. I didn’t even wanna go downstairs to eat dinner afterwards. He never treated me different but Ik it wa shard for him. My sister apparently started defending me and yelling at him to talk and she stood up for me. A few weeks go by and he finally comes back and says “I’m sorry if I didn’t react the way u expected or if it was hard. This is a late response and I may not approve but that doesn’t mean I can’t accept it. Ur still my son and I will always live u”

My Dad was ex military, built houses, very macho, a quiet man, but us kids knew the rules & boundaries, & the consequences. My Mom was very religious, & kind of a control freak. I expected my world to end when I came out to them. The reason I came out was, I had a bf & I wanted them to meet him, & hopefully accept him. A friend suggested I take them for dinner & after dinner but still in the restaurant, tell them. Most ppl won't make a big scene in public. So .... that's what I did.
Mom sat quietly for a few minutes (never a good sign), then she said "Well, we always knew this, but you should talk to your brother _____ because we think he's gay too & needs to deal with it". The she & i had a go around about this being about me, not him, blah blah blah. I turned to Dad & asked him if he had anything to say. I expected the worst. He said "Are you happy?" I told him yes, & about my bf I'd been living with etc. He said "You do what you have to do in your life to be you're happy!" That was it. Nothing was ever said again. They made my boyfriend welcome, let us sleep together when we visited my parents, treated him like part of the family. It was all normal, loving, accepting, as a family should be.

Chris, I am very lucky that I can relate to you regarding this topic. Both my parents actually were VERY accepting. At the age of 18 in 1989, I decided to tell them over lunch. They were both at the table eating, I stood beside the table and told them I have something to tell you, I'm gay. They stopped chewing, turned to each other then back to me and the only thing my dad said was "we know, we knew, we love you no matter what, now, since you're already standing, can you get the mustard out of the fridge for me?. I come from a fun, joking, sarcasm is our family motto kind of family. So we all laughed a little and that was it. They NEVER treated me any different...ever.

Glad to see he is very comfortable with you being gay. When I came out August 4th (of this year), I expected some negative responses. Shockingly, no one was negative and both of my parents accepted it. So... it's possible that I might have been closeted for 15 years for no reason! Love you dude and keep doing what you do.
