Lyrics:
Disease! Disease! Spreading the disease.
With some help from Captain Trips, he'll bring the world down to his knees.
Power, yes Power! He'll show them all his power.
It pulses through his ice cold blood, a whole world to devour!
He's seeing, he's calling, his legacy he's spawning.
He's coming, corrupting, among the living!
Murder! Murder! Commit cold blooded murder!
Like Nazis during World War Two, they only follow orders.
Hatred! Hatred! A crucifix is your bed,
Once he turns his eye on you, you'll be better off dead!
I'm the walkin' dude, I can see all the world!
Twist your minds with fear, I'm the man with the power.
Among the living, follow me or die!
Man, fights Man! Divided they can't stand!
United, they can battle back, and make him force his hand!
Fear, yes fear! His end is growing near,
He didn't count on Man's good faith, and their will to persevere.
Follow me or die!
FIRE! HOT FIRE!! Purge the world with fire!!
Damnation is the price he'll pay, for an evil man's desire!
Good, versus evil! The stand to vanquish evil!
Man can only live one way, that place right in the middle.
Follow me or die!
Among Among Among Among Among Among Among Among Among Among Among Among
I cant even explain how much I love metal.
holy shit charlie is a fucking machine, one of the most underrated drummers ever
Anthrax had musicians from another planet man these guys were definitely on something different. I feel like they helped create crossover as a music genre between hardcore punk and thrash. And yes their drummer is incredible Period.
@@brendansweeney9719 one of the fastest easily. anthrax was very original n ahead of their time
Rule: any music video on UA-cam will have some comments that include the word "underrated".
Come on, Charlie Benante is and has always be recognized as a great metal drummer, he is in no way "underrated"
The double kicks...jeeezus
Yeah they will pound your body into pieces xD
benante is no fucking joke ill tell you right now
@@holyfists7765 Those damn wooden beaters punches holes through steel!!!!!
Most powerful pair of feet in thrash!
I'M THE WALKING DUDE
Man this was my era, from the big 4 these were my favourite, they always were crazy fun live. I love Slayer but Anthrax were just more fun. I miss the 80's thrash scene!
Yes and me
You haven't been in a pit, until you been in a fucking slayer pit in the middle 80s 40 fucking ambulance on standby.
Charlie is way underated both as a drummer and song writer.
Yeah it's kinda unbelievable that he is the main songwriter as a Drummer. He's definitely not a joke! Best Drummer of the big 4
@@bjoern_thun_dersteel idk man Lombardo is also good but Charlie is an animal
@@jgall30911 yes i totally forgot about Lombardo. But i still prefer Charlie because I love his variations of blast beats and double bass and his fills. It's just amazing . But Lombardo is awesome too.
I've always felt Anthrax are underrated as musicians and songwriters. I know for most people it's one of the other 3 but Anthrax are my favorite of the big 4. Persistence Of Time is one of my favorite albums of all time and my favorite thrash album of all time. Among The Living is right up there too.
And he only got better over the years too
RIP Scott's hair
Scott and Kerry had bad hair days around this era lol!
Charlie's a beast.
This is and Raining Blood are major thrash metal anthems
KISS INTRODUCTION but instead of GREATEST band in the world, he says : HEAVIEST BAND IN THE WORLD! Holy crap this is AAAAAWWWWEEEEESOOOMMMMEEEEE!!! Scott Ian has been my guitar hero since 1986!!
One of the best intros in the history of Metal. Among The Living🖤
Joey Belladonna has a beautiful amazing voice!! Perfect thrash metal voice! Thanks from Italy for this gem
Wow my skateboarding song back then 🔥🔥🔥💪🏽
Saw them headline the Headbangers Ball tour with Exodus and Helloween. Long Beach, CA
One of the best trashmetal songs ever!!! Love it!!! Always!!!
THRASH!
🤘😈🤘
THrash, Bernd, tHrash. Not trash.
The fact that they have an audience singing with them on a song about one of the greatest Stephen King novels of all time makes me happy this band is around! They even thank Stephen King in the liner notes of “Among the Living.” On a related note, it is a crime that they didn’t have this song in the miniseries.
Blue Oyster Cult got the job instead
@@thursoberwick1948 Nothing against BÖC, I’m actually a big fan of theirs, and the inclusion of Don’t Fear the Reaper is great! I just wish they also included Among the Living.
@@johnschou2172 I agree. It works really well in the series, but I wish this was included. I would have liked them to change around Mother whatshername too (should remember it) she creeped me out as much as Randall Flagg.
@@thursoberwick1948 Mother Abigail. Also now that I think about it, there are a few songs they could have included. Perhaps Johnny Cash’s “The Man Comes Around.” Granted he hadn’t recorded it in 1994, but still.
I got stoned with Anthrax & Metal Church behind The Arcadia Theater in Dallas 1987...ish.....LOLZ
how was it with Anthrax
Charlie once said he’d tape himself and then try and beat himself at the prior speed and well I’d say it worked cuz that guy is brutal - rock on ANTHRAX 🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽🤟🏽
I'm the walking Dude!
They know what they doing
Holy to the how relevant is this NOW!!! DAMN!
Awesome frank bello
Ooooooooooooohhhhhhhh FIRE!!!!!!!! HOT FIRE!!!!!! PURGE THE WORLD WITH FIRE!!!!!!!

NEW YORK POWER 🙌🏻👏🏻🤘🏼
Vamooooo ANTHRAX
I think the song describes an attitude like a person who is among us that is untouchable! He walks around feeling powerful! Such as a politician or lawyer! He also is glamorized and famed! There is also a movie Among the Living. So it can go both ways!
It's about Randall Flag! The villain of The Stand! By Stephen King!
Hey Scott, I was talking to your hair the other day... It misses you as much as you miss it. Fuckin' insane mane back in the day bro. Keep rockin' you fkn legend 🤘 Same for all the Anthrax guys... Legendary.
His hair and his beard don't keep in contact anymore.
I am the walking dude.
Yes!
HOLY HELL! I was sweating at the end and I was not even standing up, bro.
Dan Spitz is so little omfg
Alex Majors he was the best guitar player they had though no offense Scott
You don't have to marry him. find another dude, dude.
Cool music.
Actually their hair looks like something from the 1700's
Awesome video, wish there wasn’t so many crazy jump cuts tho
That’s what makes it so great
Eddie Kramer did his magic again
The beginnings of NYHC…if you like hardcore and don’t like thrash, it doesn’t make any sense!
I remember seeing them during this tour in Irvine. Some guy tried jumping from the balcony to the bleachers and didn't quite make it. lol
SCOTTY NOT TAUGHT ME HOW TO PUMP!! I MUST HAVE WATCHED THIS ^"@&%@%/&@
TIMES.THANKS MR NOT
Peak Anthrax.

A powerful song about the coming of the next Anti-Christ. A metal classic!
If his name isn't Klaus, he is allied to him. The rich will back him.

7. Anthrax
8. Municipal Waste
9. Nuclear Assault
10. Havok
Cheers from Coimata, Bolivia!
4.
Scott Ian is Christ-like....
Not really.
One of the best thrash songs because of the catchy groovy ass riffs. By far their best Album, atleast it is to me. It stands out to me because I wore that tape out as a kid. Anthrax just offered a different sound compared to the other Big 4 bands. But I only listened mainly to this album. However, the other bands had better albums. Anthrax just really had 2 great albums. Metallica their first 4 albums, Megadeth had 3 great albums and Slayer had 3 great albums as well. Anthrax just 2 great albums in comparison, this is just my opinion. Suicidal had 2 great albums and Pantera had 5 great albums, picking up where these bands left off in the 90s. While bringing a new genre of groove metal to the forefront and also helping to inspire a new one such as hardcore as well. So Pantera wins by far, each band was iconic though.
I'm a drummer for 40 years. No one can match Dave and Charlie. Metallica is harmed with that fool behind the kit. They have to hire Dave now.....
Pantera was a different era an not comparable, if you want to compare relatively, Exodus, Testament and yes D.R.I when they went metal are who you should include, not Pantera, I saw them support Megadeth in the 90's and Megadeth blew them off live.
Persistence of Time and Sound of White Noise are classic albums too.
Ah yes, the era of Anthrax where Scott had hair.
Punk + speedmetal = thrash
Not is good powerful voice
Mullet time
You don't know what a mullet is. None of them have one
I was about to say, “ I don’t see a mullet “ lol
Bermudas metal
i will not follow you, because im death anyway
Where did all of you political pyrotechnics go you kids of the 80s?
I'm right here! Technically a 70's kid, but the 80's were where I honed my music taste.
