Took my 11 year old daughter to see the show Sunday. Still changing kids lives after all these years. Thank Spike and Kurt.
🤘😃🎸
I'm a 17 year old kid and they're my fav band!
Hey spike, not sure if you remember but we got to hang out after a show a few years ago. You will remember this one- the warrior in Tallahassee Florida. I still have your guitar pick. I'm seeing y'all again in Charlotte. Hope I get to meet y'all again. Life changing experience
how come? She got abducted?
Just noticed in the 86 video "I against I" from Bad Brains the drummer wears a DRI shirt and now that I see this 89 video the drummer has a Bad Brains shirt lol good job there
Mitsos Poserhunter funk yeah
+Strawberry Cough Drops you mean fuck yeah mang
I fucking love Bad Brains.
Mitsos Poserhunter that’s actually fucking badass
Both are essential bands in my opinion for violent/punk music followers
TIMELESS, NEVER WILL GET OLD 1000 YEARS FROM NOW
98.5% like. That's not too bad. We will take that anytime.
well, I mean who's gonna down vote a P.S.A.?....
+Spike Cassidy You guys rule ,,, I met you Spike in 1990 in San Leandro ,, your Dad Pete was my Neighbor
Spike Cassidy, Thank you for your music and you are awesome .. I remembered when you started .

oh yes. Are you guys still out there playing?
Man....... D.R.I. , S.O.D , Suicidal Tendencies, Mucky Pup, those were the times, my childhood was so happy. (ಥ﹏ಥ)
you ever get into Sacred Reich as well?
The Crossover days when Hardcore fell out and Thrash took over. I was happy that my favorite hardcore bands went Metal! Great Times indeed!!

Nicht zuvergessen M.O.D. 👍
Don't forget good ol' John Denver.
This is one of the most powerful, disturbing songs that D.R.I. ever did. As a father, this is one that definitely hits me. It still fuckin' rocks though. DIRTY ROTTEN FOR LIFE, THRASH TIL DEATH!!
Then I did what I set out to do, as the sole lyric and music writer of this song. I like what the video team did too. As a father now, it is creepy for me too.
You guys were onto something way back then. It's grown into a 35 billion dollar a year industry epidemic.
Spike Cassidy hello Spike :o
D.R.I. ist nie vergessen.
Lol
🔥🔥🔥 a staple of my youth 🖤
i love the way they march around in a circle while playing
hell yeah dude thats MO

Thats the mosh man! The Toxic Waltz!!
Skanking my man
Anthrax style
I remember this album.. I was at Wal-Mart back in the day and thought the cover was cool. Begged my mom to buy it for me.. I was maybe 10 or 11. The rest is history. Great album!
Paul Murray Really??? Man, where have I been? I thought huge never-ending department stores like that only sold some of the few major staple artists (like some solid Hendrix or Zepplin if you're lucky), & then the rest is mostly just soulless, generic shite......that's some hard to find material, albums from bands like that. I mean it's skatecore for fucks sake!!!
Christian Walz Maybe it's cause I'm from Houston..... And so were they.. Local distribution??? Plus it was a pretty long time ago. I guarantee you can't find that album these days in a Wal-Mart..
right on.
I found Obituary, Opeth, and Amon Amarth at Best Buy
Paul Murray you got me thinking for a moment, but since you mention Houston that's different! If I'm not mistaking, the first Wal-Mart I've ever saw in Cali was back in 92, and they were in construction. I used to buy my music at the Music Warehouse or Tower Records . Sometimes at the local flea market. Music Warehouse used to sell concert tickets and Tower Records as well. I don't know if ticket master is even around anymore. Does anybody remember 105.5 KNAC?!!
I just want to say the song means so much now and 2020 protect the children.
Its been going on forever stop acting like its a recent problem
My band back in 89 used to cover this song. Of course nobody does it better than DRI. Everything DRI has ever recorded is gold to me. Thanks for all the killer tunes.
It was so hard to find info on our favorite bands back in the day -- we're lucky to have all this easily accessible now! I grew up listening to these guys and Spike's riffs are the reason I learned to play the guitar. DRI forever.
🤘😃🎸
Spike is THE COOLEST!!
I love the fact they tackle the issue of child abduction....Kudos to them....AWARENESS IS KEY!!!!!!!!!! Keep them safe.....good thrash song as well!
There's two things to see, "The sound of freedom" and the documentary "boys for sale"!
It will show you how big the problem is, and how the government over the decades has refused to do anything to stop it ......
Even today Biden will not lift a finger to stop the trafficking of children over the southern border, around 10.000 children are trafficked every year!
Their songs go so well with oldschool skate videos
A-BDUC-TION!!
Cheers from Brasil! We fucking love D.R.I.!
My vinyl reissues of DRI Thrash Zone & 4 of a Kind just came in today. So many great memories of listening to this band.
At 59 years old still one of the best ways to wake up in the morning is with some DRI full volume so the neighbors and all can enjoy. 😁
52 my friend. IMBECILE for life!!!!
FkkkkYeah
Thrash f ever
Dude, that’s what I’m saying! I’m 52 and still thrashing the good stuff🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
THRASH METAL at it's finest! As old as I am I still enjoy DRI.
Being a Punker growing up I discovered thrash then crossover later on this band has always been a staple for me over the course of 34 yrs 3 deployments and 11 years on the flight deck. Thrash til death. They’re coming out near me in October I’m stoked
This has been my favorite band since high school, and bout 4-6 years ago my band(day drunk) got to share the stage with these guys, easily one of the most cathartic experiences ever.
Skated to this 25 years ago
Saw these guys last night, they sound even better live than recorded. Awesome pit going. Love it.
Ten years later , gonna see them tonight!
Still gives me chills even after all these years. Fucking love this song.
I listened to these guys in the 80s, (and still do)I seen them about 7times, and LOVED EVERY FUCKIN SHOW, met them too, totally cool... I caught Kurt Brecht leather baseball hat in Tijuana in the 80s and still have it... I live in San Diego and they play here alot, I go every chance I get...
Punk mixed with Thrash and Groove love it!

hahah my dad told me one day when he visited the former DRI manager from rottenrecords in LA around early 90s my dad did him a favor and picked up spike cassidy to bring him somewhere and he felt very excited that he had the honor to sit next to "such a celebrity" :D
Tell your dad I said thanx again.
***** hey man yea im gonna relay that to him :D
Fredo Santana , nice memory , or story , kool.
I've been Dirty Rotten since I bought a pirate of your first album. Thank you Spike. DRI helped to define me as a guitarist. It's been a great ride every album since the first.
I discovered DRI around 89 in 9th grade. Some kid had a 4 of a kind tshirt and I bought that album solely based on the cover. Never once was disappointed. Went on to be one of my favorite bands.
I just now discovered them and holy$#!+ I missed out big time. I was into thrash back then but I was the only one so I didn't get much exposure. This is a good day
If you like metal, or music for that matter. YOU HAVE TO LOVE D. R. I. !!!
punks rockers and metalheads love thrash more then other music
Tasteless pop fans would get offended by that comment, but thankfully non of them clicked on this video
@@SKATEGRAFFDANK haha yes completely right
Thrash predates metal does it not? Whatever the case, I love it all!
@@rustyshackleford81 thrash was created by metallica (or venom as per your perspective) in the 80's. Metal was created in 1969
One of the most influential bands for me playing an instrument. I didn't discover you guys until I was 14(1998) lol. I still warm up playing the bassline to "money stinks".
Great bass sound here.
Eita! Me fez voltar à adolescência! Tinha 16 anos, assistindo tv e de repente começou passar Total Massacreation. Aí os caras do Hermes e Renato anunciaram esse clipe do DRI. Bons tempo!
They were so badassery live‼️💯
Saw these guys in Hartford in November for my birthday and talked with Felix after the show, super nice guys and they still put on a fucking amazing show.
Way ahead of their time .
Classic heavy band from a classic era .
Crossover Thrash, many people tend to call all metal heavy metal but you comment still has a good point 👍
I get to see DRI tonight in Houston for their 40th anniversary tour finale. I'm so pumped
I shared this song from D.R.I. to broadcast it on Radio Saint Affrique FM. Thanx a lot, long living to rock 'n roll, your the welcomes. Antoine
1989?! where the fook has time gone?
this song brings back so many memories of my youth...DRI had a massive musical influence on the guitarist/musician I have become today.
I never had a chance to thank you guys in person. I wish you all the best and a massive thankyou for keeping me on the 'straight and narrow' path when I was a teen!
....still keeps me on the 'straight and narrow', even though I'm in my forties now ;)
Muy buena banda, recientemente vinieron a México y realmente me hubiera gustado asistir a verles.

My friend I saw them back in day freaking awsome
Need to have you guys on tour again. Every generation needs to have a chance to appreciate this.
One of my favorite albums and songs ever!
Man my childhood..love it and it still sounds good..when i was kid i had a friend of mines dad paint my skate board with the dri logo on it..
44 years old here. I can’t believe I missed out on you guys. Damn you kick ass!
Haven’t heard D.R.I since I was 14. I’m 20 now and went back to this album for nostalgia’s sakes. This song creeps me out especially the ending, the little girls voice gives me chills. I was actually taking a walk outside my house yesterday at night and I had this song on and forgot all about the ending, I had my headphones basically at full volume and when that part came on, my heart was racing and I took my headphones and out looked around me. Probably one of the creepiest songs I’ve ever heard, and the videos adds to it...
DRI is my favorite USA band ! Greetings from Moscow Russia! Happy New Year 2020!

One of the few bands i was stuck on. i listened to this cassette (thrashzone) beginning to end. i liked all songs .rare for me. DRI had a thing. dark chords, tight thrashed out rhythms and bad ass vocals. was One my fave bands ☆
A well constructed song, well thought out lyrics!!! More power to D.R.I!!!

men when I enjoyed my rock videos in VHS, dude!!! i miss those days.
Merci / Thx 4 show in Lyon ( France ) august 04 / 2022 !!!!!!
I miss Chumly, he was our bassist for a brief period back in early 2000, what a huge and monstrous sound he had!!!
I really tried being there for him, but he was a hard nut to crack sometimes, he just wouldn’t let us in, so to speak.
RIP Chums
I won’t call him by his real name, he really hated that name!
How did he die if I may ask? :(

Just seen them last night in dirty Jersey with mucky pup killer show!!!
I was 14 when I first saw this..A friend had all the good shit from Headbanger's on VHS. It grabbed me so hard that I got a skateboard with the emblem on the bottom and a patch that I had to go through a lot of shit to get my granny to sew it on. When Acid Rain made it onto Beavis and Butthead I was a little pissy Because I didn't want any phoneys listening to my my personal mantra, but it made sense later. Thanks for your music. The bass line to Abduction was the second one I first learned, having heard Am I Evil before it. 🤘
hi... i'm from indonesia .. i fans D.R.I .. nice too meet you.
Check out BEER CITY , they signed D.R.I and have other kick ass bands on their label. DEATHWISH is a killer band. Happy moshing
i started listening in the 80's I've never stopped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sound Of Freedom made me come back to this song today. It hits even harder now.
2019 still like you as it would be the first Day I heard it.
Best era of music. All styles, but definitely this style. I miss those times.
I love punk rock and thrash.
This brings back good memories of high school in the late 80's
WoooW - such a nostalgia, I was just a kid when I listened to D.R.I, all returned now, how I miss those days, those people. Wanted to say thanks.
Primera vez que los escucho...
Suenan bien... 🤘👍💀
Seeing these guys live tomorrow!!! Super excited!!!
Back in '89 my 8th grade music teacher played this video (among other thrash bands) in class. Nearly 30 years later one of my bands shared the stage with you guys in Portland, Maine. What a night. What an honor.
Thank you.
@spike Cassidy 100% dri for ever and im 51 years old i got to see them live like 10 times
Sounds better than any mainstream band.
mainstream doesn’t have any bands...unless you count the two dozen production people who make the auto tune for a ‘singer’
They influenced many bands, Mainstream and Underground. They never were mainstream themselves. Cult followings were better anyway.
What an edgy comment.
My farts sounds 100 times better than any mainstream band
By mainstream do you mean for metal with bands like Metallica, Black Sabbath, Cannibal Corpse or do you mean the shit you find on the radio
Espero que la toquen el proximo año 2020🔥🇨🇱
No vienen ni cagando
Hi Spikey, thanks for your music and riff ! It still remain on my head after the years
i saw a guy with dri t-shirt 8 years ago...and from that day since today i am here
These guys were knocking Ministry off the top of the charts back in 89. But then after the Thrash Zone album they just suddenly vanished.
Uhm,no they didn't!
THIS is from 1989?? : O wow
One of the greatest musical times. I miss those great times.

We're learning this song at school lol
That's awesome! In what class and for what reason?
best school
For some reason I feel like you're from the UK.
what the fuck
Awnser dammit
Still Have All Album CD's,Some Cassettes, Merch & Hat Too. Worth Buying.
In jr high in Houston in the mid 80s, there was a kid in my class who wore his big brother's concert t-shirts. We were all jealous. His suburban west Houston street cred went even higher bc they'd clearly been purchased at shows. (ie, not a Van Halen shirt purchased at Sound Warehouse.)
I recall 3 specifically: Suicidal Tendencies (he got sent home for wearing that one - and getting sent home made him even cooler), Husker Du and DRI.
I really liked the DRI shirt so I tried this for a conversation starter: "Dirty Rotten Imbeciles ... that's awesome. I like that logo, too." He scoffed at my shallowness and said, "they're from Houston ... and they fucking rock." He then walked off. That's some next level 6th grader depth 😂
While not a profound exchange, it's as true today as it was 40yrs ago. Ask any music lover what band fucking rocks, has a great name and logo, and is from Houston. Ok, some may say ZZ Top but for sure it's DRI.
Where's my skateboard?!?
accurate
I don’t know maybe look outside
Did u rediscover it?

Thanks Spike for your years and years of entertainment! Look forward to seeing you all back in St Louis.

getting some heavy napalm death vibes from this song, if it was tuned lower and had more double bass
