Great video. I just bought a 37 year old DW5600C (Speed) yesterday. Chuffed to bits. I might just do this mod. The original screws for the 5600C were slot affairs, rather than the Philips ones.
I’m enjoying your look at the Speed Square. I bought a DW5600C and thought about wearing it nude because it came without the case. Glad I didn’t just try to slap a case from one of my E’s on it. I may send it to Casio to get it refurbished.
I don't like the visibility of the display on the 35th anniversary version and the gold colors don't really belong to a rugged Casio watch . I would pay 300-400 $ CAD for the 691 module version ( dual time , etc. ) WITH the improvements of the E model ( led display, lugs, screws , casing ) AND the best quality straps and buckles that you find on the GW or the anniversaries versions .
Now as for wanting something along the lines of what you're describing have you looked into the GW5000U? That's about as close as you'd get to owning a metal cased square G-Shock with better features then the 5600c or e but with a modern metal case and softer strap.
@@RobertNES816 Nah.... I don't like solar as i work nightshifts and sleep during the day. My watch is never exposed to sunlight + i prefer a screwback .
@@martinnichols45 The GW5000U is a screwback. Plus it can go for 22 months if you have power saving mode tuned on. Just remember to leave the watch in a window sill for the day and then wear it when you need to go to work. When I worked nights that's what I did with my GWM5610. You only need to charge it whenever you notice the battery level drop.

@@itsallrobbish The 5000 up to the 5200 had slot screws. The 5600c had Phillips head screws from the beginning.
very nice detailed explanation. this channel is a hidden gem!
Thank you. 😊

I don't think Casio is refurbishing vintage squares anymore.
I am really enjoying your in-depth video looks at the original DW5600C and E :D
Thank you.
Will these 5600E Bezel/Strap mods work to fit to a 5200C?? Thanks.
Yes but you'll need to modify them same as the 5600c.
Esse relógio caixa de aço é show ❤
great video. can i use 5600e's new screw for fixing bezel? or should i use original screw of 901?
It won't fit. Plastic screws won't work in place of metal screws.
The bezel you used to modify it was that of a 5600E?
Yes

The 35th anniversary is a reproduction of the DW-5000C-1B. Look that watch up and you'll see were Casio got inspiration from.

Muito bom
nice video. You only have 3 clips on these watches. Can you make a few more? 😀 Thanks friend
I don't think there's anything else to really cover.
