    The craziest method I tried for weight loss was a 7 day water fast. That shit was hard asf, but the thing is, the first couple of days was just water weight. The results definitely were NOT worth it. I had to suffer through bad breath and bad tastes in my mouth. I felt terrible, had horrible headaches and what came out on the other end smelt like someone had died LMAO! Eating healthy is a far preferable lifestyle than fasting. Far better in the long run.

    • @Smooth_operator32
      @Smooth_operator32 5 років тому +31

      There are two types of water fasting. Hard and soft. Hard : Basically what you did. Soft :You can bathe and brush your teeth just don't swallow water

    • @OptimumCrusader
      @OptimumCrusader 5 років тому +29

      SNES Freak Oh I definitely bathed and brushed my teeth during that period. I had to maintain what level of hygiene I had left during that fast. Since the majority of the day I would develop bad tastes in my mouth, brushing my teeth would actually suppress my hunger and be a genuine treat.

      I'm telling you out of experience
      Just drink water and no food. Believe me bruh it's a great fat burner as when u don't get food your body starts sucking energy from the bad fat in ur body.

    The craziest thing I did was skip breakfast and dinner and only eat lettuce for lunch. I drank a shit ton of water and I lost 8 POUNDS in one week. The bad part was that this was most likely water weight and everytime I lifted I felt so weak. Just trust me and don't do that shit. If your a combat fighter I really recommend checking out Firas Zihabi as he's highly educated on nutrition and excercise for combat sport athletes.(Sorry if I spelled some stuff wrong)

    Weight cutting can also weaken fighters. For example current UFC middleweight champion Robert Whittaker was originally a welterweight. However he had a weaker chin due to all the weight cutting. When he moved up to middleweight he ran through the murderers row of the division beating everyone put in front of him.

      Sikkunt Che I wouldn’t say that it’s easy. As a guy who’s had to go both up and down on the scale, it’s pretty difficult cause of how iffy my body can be. While I’m supposed to be 230lbs during the Football season (and yes, my coach did check all the offensive lineman to make sure they’re 230lbs or over.), I need to be around 200 during wrestling. As much as you can lose water weight to make weight, water weight only goes so far. I could lose about 10lbs of water weight.... I still have 20 more pounds to lose.

He wasn't hitting with all he had, but a couple of times he accidentally put a bit more of himself into it than he meant to (just muscle memory kicking in) and yeah I felt it.
    Edit: Also, worth mentioning is that extreme weight cuts have hospitalized and even killed fighters. There's just a certain point where you body doesn't allow you to fight at a certain weight anymore and people try to do it anyway.

    The "lose all fake friends diet" can get even rid of hundreds of kilos in very few seconds. You also feel much better after this diet and it lowers your stress levels.

    As someone who started bodybuilding at 90kg and after i got into boxing so i had to go down to 63.5kg .. all i have to say is this man is 100% right.. you need a nutritionist and a good one to watch your progress and measure everything and a medic to monitor your health.. i had no information and was so motivated to try a boxing figjt i started training 3x a day and only ate 1 time a day 1 egg and let me tell you i lost weight for the fight.. but i lost miscle and power also i was drained .. but for the next fight i talked to a nutritionist and let me say the difference was that i got shredded i mean shredded so much people thought i was taking steroids even tho i was 64 kg (62kg muscle plus 2kgfat) and the best way is te maintain that weight so you dont have to cut and lose power and muscle.. i mean every time i weigh inn they make me repeat the scale because they dont believe im 64kg because i look like a beast and my opponents look small and drained..oh and one time i lost water only i thought i was losing weight but that made me keep going

    Actually I've went from 204 to 189 in 10 days, I used to be 238 pounds, I got to 204 from a proper diet and was going very well, I'd like to stop and start around 195 to 190 but I got to 189 because of starving myself, I only ate one to things a day, literally stopped working out, but the one thing i learned was most of your bodies weight is your stomach, your arms and legs stay and look really good. How ever dont starve yourself, i barely ate at all after my weigh in for Navy, I gained 5 pounds in one day, barely eating anything! The next day back to 199! Literally dont starve yourself, eating properly is the only way to help u lose weight and have energy to be healthy! Dont starve!

    I once fell deep into the keto/fasting community and then tried to do a 30 day water fast (where you're only allowed to drink water and a little bit of salt with said water). I thought something something insulin sensitivity something lose weight quickly something. After 24 hours, I got massive headaches, and after 36 hours, I couldn't sleep and ended the whole thing. In retrospect, it was the dumbest diet challenge to try and lose weight I've ever attempted.

    Well I only had 2 days to lose 6 pounds of weight for wrestling because another wrestler got injured, so for 2 days I didn't drink even a tap of water and didn't eat at all, trained and ran in 2 sweatpants and 3 hoodies with constant running, but it payed off when I was shooting water and food down my throat after the weigh ins.
    Edit : I'm a 120 pounder and i'm tiny so its a lot harder for me to lose weight, and by the end of day 2 my tongue felt just like leather and my lips were insanely chapped for the next month. wouldn't recommend even thinking about losing weight that way, it was basically torture.

    Before I started trying to lose weight I was that guy who would always shit-talk pretty much every diet and acted like they were all BS no matter what, so I've never really tried anything too wild. I do know someone from my old high school though who didnt have any solid food at all to lose weight. Pretty much just soup broths and drinks to keep her going.
