This is a brief demonstration of the Whelen CenCom Sapphire unit. It is a 100-watt siren connected to a Whelen speaker mounted in the grill area of a vehicle.
If you ever live in Canada or in certain parts of Canada. If you hear this that means 1 The RCMP is coming 2 The Ambulance is also coming (certain places the ambulance uses the same siren)
I have the same Cencom Sapphire Amp and Controller. I've wired it up as outlined in the installation manual. I get absolutely no sound. When checking the WC Diagnostic Indicators, the first light shows steady red. According to the manual it states, "CenCom Controller Bus is set to off, Check Interface Box". Can you please advise how to correct this issue? Thank you.
This might be the dumbest of all questions, but between federal signal and whelen, is there one clear winner? They both seem high quality and I see a lot of departments using both. Does it come down to the purchase order, and the better deal? Aside from the rumbler which is extra, the tones are similar (although my whelen isn't programmed for hi-lo) what would you put in a new Tahoe if you could?
@@MichaelMavashev thanks for the info! I'm in NYC and have a whelen light bar and siren on an old pick up truck. I'm looking to buy a new tahoe or suburban when the diesel comes out (no judgements) and will need to upfit it. Any info on Feniex? Some stuff looks really innovative, but in some way, I feel it undercuts their legitimacy to build sirens with secret Ghostbusters sounds and theme music.
So I have used both. I like the federal smart siren for its back light and quality. I prefer the Whelen software more.. keep in mind all of the smart sirens I have used are the old face plate programming style.
"Good evening people of the UA-cams" that took me out

For a second you sounded like a 1950's news broadcast.

AvE?
Can the tones be customized to sound like the NYPD's sirens
NYPD don’t use Whelen. They use Federal Signal.
Tim I know but could it be configured to sound like that.
Texas FC You could program different tones made by Whelen. But most of the tones are unique and don’t sound like NYPD.
Get a federal signal smart siren, then you’ll have NYPD Sounds
T3 = MOVE NOW
T3: “GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY”
What is the radio rebroadcast?
Radio rebroadcast will broadcast the dispatch radio to an external speaker. Usually the speaker for the siren.
WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR OTHER VIDEOS
