Those ppl are just pushing the cybersecurity version of those nonsense "GET SIX PACK ABS IN 30 DAYS" systems. Good, solid, reasonable advice, Nicole. Those "get rich quick" programs don't give you the time to build a real foundation.
There is a vibrator ab machine that was developed by the U.S. Army for the Navy Seals. You attach it to your stomach, turn it on and it starts to vibrate fast. It automatically vibrates and burns fat while you sit there and do nothing. Looks like it works. I'm buying it.
This is why I subscribed to your channel! Thanks for all the great info and none of these false promises. You put in the hard work and you reap the benefits!
Thank you for the upload Nicole. I'm confident that a switch to Cybersecurity will be ideal for me. Listening to your content will help me realize this accomplishment sooner rather than later. Thank you again
Great content, absolutely makes sense! A practical path . 🙏
Thanks Nicole! I am Current working on getting into the cybersecurity field. I'll be watching your videos and hope to seek mentorship from you sometime. I'm currently working on my Google cybersecurity certification and hope to complete the security+. Great video!
Great insights as always, Nicole! ❤😊
Appreciate you Nicole!!!
It definitely isnt easy to change careers. I'm glad she said that! I did it and I'm still struggling to advance in my new field because managers rarely care about your previous career experience. So i got the google cybersecurity cert and im glad i did, but im realizing that's just the first step. Theres high demand in cybersecurity but for someone with no IT experience it'll take a couple years to get there, which unfortunately involves working on a help desk for a couple years. Or so it seems. Still glad i made the change because life is too short to do something you hate everyday.
well documented podcast which is helpful for novice cybersecurity learners like myself
I can speak about my own experience. I'm an Automation engineer with DCS .....etc the thing is i was always interested in IT and i used to create the virtualization and domain environments. I configured the switches too and i used to do so for 4 years. I used to troubleshoot IT problems too. Later i discover that i need certifications so i got Google IT and IBM cybersecurity and then i managed to land a job as OT security in a very good company. Why OT not IT as I'm from the protocols background.
Thoughts in the Google cyber security certificate? Seems like a good basis to get started?
I am afraid to update my linkedin from tech support to a more cybersecurity focused profile because my boss, CEO, and entire department are connected to me in LinkedIn. Could you make a linkedin focused video or do I have any hope ? Lol. I was thinking of just not using linked in during the job search
So did you actually move to Pa? Im in Pa as well.
What are the chances of remote work opportunities with cyber security or cloud security?
Hi Nicole, please, what projects do you recommend I do, as someone wanting to go into the field of penetration testing in cybersecurity, that you as an employer would look out for when hiring. Projects that don't really require spending money (For penetration testing specifically please. There are so many cybersecurity projects here and there, but none really focuses on penetration testing) If possible, could you create a video on it?
It's kinda, you need years in the university, but at home you just need 30 days, lol

90 days? LOL thats hilarious, most people will never get a job in IT let alone cyber security. You're better off going into the skilled trades or something.🤷♂
There was maybe a 1-2 year window in 2021-2022 where 1 maybe 2 year IT experience in help desk were getting info sec jobs but that door slammed shut especially after this year with over 220k layoffs in tech.
So how many years of help desk does it take now?
@@jay12120Honestly it just depends. It’s depends on who you know, how marketable you are (degree, Certs, IT exp), even where you live matters. You can only control how marketable you are. This will make it easier to land that job when the opportunity presents itself.
@@jay12120 not an exact formula but if you get your feet wet for 2-3 years on top of labs and certs and/or college you have a realistic chance
@@Jake-fe4uf gotcha. Thanks!
