I loved working on the old FWD v6 GM's. Like mid 90's to 12 or so. All had the same problems, parts were cheap and just plain easy to work on. Wheel Bearings, they basically fell out when bolts were removed. Didn't have to beat them out for 1/2 a day like the Subarus/Ford Explorers.

Times have changed for sure. Newer isn’t always better in this day and age, my Dad worked for Cadilac many years. He says the same as you
