Sergio was very slick so I don’t see it. I see more of the standard Eastern European style with Bivol than anything
Looks like he came straight out of Karate, the way he throws punches is very unorthodox and I guess effective
Dmitriy Pak that’s not Karate lmao, this is classic Soviet boxing style
Bivol did karate while he was boxing as an amateur. That footwork and movement looks very karate-esq, very flexible and fluid. His style of boxing is Soviet, in and out footwork, fluid punches and jab upright, but his stance looks very wide and uses a lot of upper body movement which is not associated with the soviet style. So, bivol is a mixture of Soviet boxing and karate.
That’s not karate, it’s Soviet boxing (pendulum boxing), his first trainer was Isaev you can check his videos on UA-cam, there is also Frolov that teaches that style… however bivol style changed, he obviously doesn’t bounce so much like he used to
This is the single biggest threat to Canelo - Bivol's technical educated jab and workrate. Both elements are why GGG gave Canelo tough fights. Canelo is a sprinter - GGG accumulated with a higher work rate. He was able to interrupt and intercept Canelo on a regular basis. Now, this is no guarantee of victory, as Canelo likes to counter jabs too. It is just that the work rate alone scores lots of points and can fluster your opponent. Unlike GGG who primarily comes forward and tries to cut off the ring - Bivol darts in and out. I can see that making a lot of Canelo's counters miss that would usually catch GGG. I still have Canelo winning because Bivol open for overhand right sometimes. Bivol is going to need a chin and toughness and keep that left up!

Straight and sharp
As the guy above me said - straight, fast, sharp. Also no "tell" from what I can see. A "tell" is when you do a certain movement before a punch that your opponent can read and time. Bivol is using minimal movement to throw it. So you never can see it coming easily. You don't know when he will throw it because it has no give away. It's just quick and out of nowhere. Also, a good jab is an accurate one. Bivol is accurate. Lastly, he can throw it while moving - a huge increase in its effectiveness is if you can land it moving side to side or backwards. Bivol is very good at that. A lot of guys can throw a jab while feet are planted - not as a many can box on the move like Bivol does.
He is gonna drop Barrera early, it's kinda hard to see his punches coming especially early in a fight when you aren't used to him
