    Ive always admired that loose but powerful and accurate Soviet system boxing style. Bivol is closing in on being a master at it

    Looks like really quick, fluid, and powerful on the aqua bag. How come we don't see more videos with guys going hard like that?

    I admire how he uses the full extend of his plantar muscles. It requires a lot of ankle mobility and strenght to be moving fast and explosive while sitting flat

    If and when he fights Canelo he will have to get used to punching downward, to get Canelo who will be doing a lot of bobbing and weaving, due to the fact he is a shorter man who will attack him to the body, rib cage, solar plexus this will be his damage point to look for in Bivol, so he will have to keep those elbows tight and once Canelo goes in for those body shots he will have to fire that right hand down the middle fast and precise, to keep him at bay.

    Is he the heir apparent to Kovalev? Maybe we'll have to see how he looks against Barrera

    • @akumasdeception
      @akumasdeception 6 років тому +5

      He beats Kovalev in 2-3 fights from now. He's more talented than Kovalev was at his age.

      Ask Sullivan Barrera how slow his left hand was. Bivol TKOed him in the 12th round, fight wasn't even close don't think he won a single round.

    I don't like the style because it looks all over the place I prefer my shadow box and bag work but he is a pro for a reason ☺

    • @Nikopas6
      @Nikopas6 6 років тому +7

      It definitely is a unique style, but I think he has pretty quick and fluid footwork to accompany the string of punches he puts together. Zurdo Ramirez called his style awkward, but I think his biggest strength is his timing and spacing coming in on his opponent then retreating, then throwing strikes. He also is effective at throwing a high volume of hard strikes.

      @BobruiskCountrySide 6 років тому +1

      The only thing that I can't understand about him is why he always keeps his hands that low, it basically leaves him always opened to get countered. Does he trust his reflexes that much? It can cost him a lot against more experienced heavy-hitting punchers..

      Basic soviet russian style. GGG kovalev etc all train mitts this way. It's controlling distance instead of standing in 1 place and throwing 30 punches like the americans do.

      it's the classic Soviet style, Lomachenko also shadow box this way
