    Love the pedestal bow. The colors are amazing. I really like the way you don't attempt to edit out your mishaps, it make turning doable for those who might be intimidated. Keep 'em coming...

      Thank you Bob, that is one of the things I like about other channels, they showed the mistakes making them not perfect like me so I formatted my channel that way.

    Speaking for myself, the length of your videos is just fine - we not only get to see an artist at work, but you're fun, too. I LOVE this project, Doug. The gold and copper make it look like it's on fire. I like how despite the resin and sometimes the wood playing games with you, you STILL manage to persevere, and come out with something so beautiful at the end!
    Sounds like the angry chipmunks had their family over for Thanksgiving in the shop with you.

    That is so pretty! I love the copper and gold and how it compliments the wood. The wood tilting works. Gives the resin and organic flow.

    When you can't burn it, just put your sticker on the bottom like I do ;) I absolutely LOVE how the copper and gold turned to flame!

    As we get older we do things our way..we still learn things but in a way we can ..Unfortunately unlike trees when our hands start getting worn out we can’t just grow a new one lol..I think your doing wonderful work,you have some very clever ideas and each piece like this one is a beautiful piece of art ..No one ever finishes learning they just find new ways to improve on perfection..My theory any way..Stay safe 😀

    I've been thinking about buying a lathe and starting to learn this art. If my perfect pieces turn out even 1/10th as nice as your "mistakes" I'll be extremely happy.

    Just glue a circle of wood to that space in the bottom and burn your logo into that. You might even be able to use the cutoffs from the wood blank

      What I was thinking, use a wood that will contrast or match, depending on what you think is the better look.

      Yeah it’s a cheap way to solve his problem instead of using a token. He can also use this on other resin projects.

      That’s what I was thinking! Make a wood coin instead of metal.
      The resin colors are so awesome and the clear takes it over the top!

    I like Sherlock 789 idea Doug. Put bowl in cole jaws and glue a piece into the mortise for your stamp. Thumbs up as always.
    Hope you bagged your deer this season. Mine here is Wisconsin accidentally ended the Monday after opening weekend without a deer.

    Try using half back pearls as inserts. They come in micro size to large size and in a variety of colors and I think you’d love them! I think it’d be a beautiful piece

    Love the bowl. When I was wood carving I had a ideal of how I wanted the carving to look but as I was carving the wood showed me how I should carve. So in the end it turned out different then what I wanted. But your bowl looks great.

    #253 Chocolate Ice Cream? you gonna turn that too? You need a buffer plate that wedges into the Botton of the pale then you glue to the wood buffer plate and Wa La! O see the resin is dulling your HSS tools fast! Make Pohl Barn disc that has the brand on it to glue in hole there Doug! Turn On Buddy, Turn ON!

    Love the copper and clear together. Surprised it seperated AND that you did not fill it with black CA glue. Looks good as it is!

      Thank you Bob, the black CA tends to bleed into the grain of the wood so I stayed away from it. I do have brown but didn't think about it.

    14:00 from my experience, lacquer never works after wax (abrasive paste). You can never get the oils completely out of the wood in order for the lacquer to properly stick

      the same problem with Oak and no wax or paste. trapped air always does this, either way I fixed it
