    Such a fair point.
    I know my current relationship is a very unhealthy one and that I've lost nearly all sense of self.
    You're right.
    I need to figure out how to love myself enough so that others will show me the same respect.

    5:50 This really struck me to the core. This is exactly what im feeling and I get instantly triggered when I start feeling like my partner doesn't fulfill those "needs".

    I've never known what self-love is. But after many years. I've started to understand. Now that out of many events in my life it starts to emerge. Is it a love I never want to miss again. Want to be true to my inner self and be real to how I feel for myself and others. Understand now that the right one is myself. But it has required years of hard work. But I can finally say. I'm worth it. I am the love of my life. The second can come when it is meant to. Tonight I'm going on a date with myself. Get to know myself a little more. Book a date with myself once a week.❤️❤️❤️

    A lot of teenagers need to watch this. I know I'm absolutely imperfect but this has given me motivation to get myself on track and learn to love who and what I am

    your amazing. you answered all my questions about filling those voids because of the dependency to be validated or admired. it has been my main issue my whole life to seek that attention when I was chasing the wrong attribute in depending on these negative voids. wow I'm crying right now I'm so thankful you enlightened me with this truth. it takes practice and I am going to work everyday at it because I am in a deep emotional void. thank you.

      Candace van Dell what love give historical example of unconditional ?

    • @DianaCassiexoxo
      @DianaCassiexoxo 7 років тому +2

      Candace van Dell thank you so much. ♥️ awakening has been crazy. The physical aspects of awakening is hard. I had to face myself so I did mantras, meditations, and telling myself 33 times a day looking at myself in the mirror by saying, "I love you."
      It was very emotional then it turned into tears of joy.
      I would also said "I love you, your sexy." To myself lol.
      I know that's extreme. I also paint, write myself, make music and that goes very deep.
      I start crying so hard knowing it was me who created that artwork. Know one else Made the exact pairing as I have or bodies of if. To share it to the world is scary. I feel as though I am meat to be on UA-cam. Again scared lol. I wonder if people on UA-cam when they first starters their UA-cam channel feared this as well and if it is normal.

      Kazuko Otouto I didn't mention anything sexual. I don't understand what your talking about. Way off topic there. Wow.

    If people understood this, divorces would go down drastically! Probably to almost zero. It seems the human condition is to blame outside forces (spouse, for example) for what's lacking on our insides.

    How much should our past experiences effect our confidence in a relationship? If I'm someone who generally has a hard time finding someone to date and has had only one relationship isn't it normal for me to have low self esteem? How can I be confident in a relationship knowing that I am basically unattractive and that once this relationship is over, no one will want to date me?

    I have a great guy and we’re very spiritual and through him I can see myself even more. He was my friend for at least 20 years and I told him almost everything. Then 8 months ago we become a couple. It’s the best thing that happened to me, but I’m always looking for the negative “is he cheating”. We has always told me the truth but it’s soooo hard for me to feel secure when he stays over his children’s mom house to take care of the kids. It makes me feel like, he will sleep with her. They have a new baby and I’m understanding but it’s soooo hard for me to accept.
    Self love is so difficult at times! I don’t like a lot of things about me but I have to just accept them. I’m in the process of releasing my childhood trauma, the pain of not being “the beauty” I feel that I am on the inside. My inner me looks different than who I see in the mirror. How do you love your self unconditionally when the world sees you as ugly or something to have fun with?

    • @kilaa3417
      @kilaa3417 5 років тому

      I know you didn’t direct this to me. But the world will always see you as something that you’re not, and something lesser than you are. You are not ugly and something to just have fun with, you are of value, and that’s true at all times, when the world thinks it is and when it doesn’t. Once you reflect the value you show him, or others that you love for yourself, these feelings of inadequacy that you have will fade, or won’t guide you. Know what you deserve and receive that and nothing less.
      Fear tries to be a guide because it takes less work, and self love is really hard. But it gets easier once you accept your worth, you are worthy because you are you. Not because of physicality, or how fun you are. you matter when you say you do, you’re worthy of love because you say you are, and if you believe that that’s the only thing you’ll allow in your life.

    I hope you’re not saying that in order to be loved, we have to love ourselves first. That is something that I’ve never believed. What if we were never shown love and have no idea what it looks like? Maybe someone comes and starts loving us and we see that and are able to reflect it back to that person and then upon ourselves?
