Leyton Orient were one of the clubs challenging from promotion with my club, Wolves, from League One is 2014. Three years later and an incompetent foreign owner has almost destroyed the club. We've also seen once great clubs like Blackburn Rovers and Coventry City suffer relegation for the same reason. Foreign owners coming and ruining our great clubs needs to stop. The FA needs to pull their finger out.

4 years later... I'm a Sutton United ST holder, and we were their first match in the National League. Nearly 1,000 Orient fans were there, because Bechetti was finally out, and you could see the relief in the lot of them. I'll remember it until the day I die, because we beat Orient 2-0, and they just didn't care, because they had their club back. This year, we'll meet each other in League 2, with Orient back in the EFL where they belong, and us in the League for the first time in our 123 year history. Buzzing for it.

My club, Fulham, is foreign owned but let's face it: How many of these foreign owners have fucked it up throughout the years? Why are they considered 'fit for purpose' by the FA and the league when they know nothing about English football, especially League One or League Two? When will these fuckwits realize that all these London clubs - including mine - are local, community clubs, NOT multinationals like the big four (ie, Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham & Chelsea)? Why can't they go and buy a local team in their native cities and leave OUR clubs alone? Rant over.

Dear Leyton Orient fans, it will turn around.
I am a Lincoln City fan and as you are well aware it is we who are taking your place next season in the Football League. Six years ago, we too lost our league status after a disastrous run of defeats at the business end of the season - the memory still hurts.
We've had half a decade of mediocrity since then, with a team who had never really threatened to challenge to even consistently break into the top half of the National league table, and with a board with recognisably good intentions but with no clout to back it up. It has been torrid time as a LCFC fan to say the least.
This year was our clubs renaissance, a dogged campaign full of fight in the NL to take the title and a headline grabbing run in the FA Cup - we had to wait, we had to be patient, but it has finally come. It just takes a spark to lift a club, to fulfil it's potential and the expectations folks have of it, and ours came right out of left field in the shape of the Cowley brothers. It's all the more amazing what they and the players have achieved because our expectations for last season weren't particularly high.
It's a different scenario for you, your expectation is obviously to bounce right back and I hope you can do that once you have managed to oust the criminal Beccheti, that odious coward. I hope you find that aforementioned spark and that Leyton Orient as a club and community can get back in the EFL as soon as possible, it is where you are meant to be. When that day comes, I look forward to crossing swords at Sincil Bank. Good luck next season.

Three Steps Sideways Thanks. Well aware of the Lincoln story, i used to follow a fans vlog on youtube back in the day around the time you dropped out and kept an eye on things in the conference. Glad you've made your way back to the football league, Lincoln fans were always a good laugh. We are finally rid of Becchetti so hopefully onwards and upwards, but i know it may take a while.

Orient need rebuild time but when I’m low because of footy I think it could be worse than this. Forest fan by the way. #mindthegap

As a filmmaker and a football fan, this is a work of art and I take my hat off to you. You have perfectly captured the heart, soul and solidarity that these fans of shown.
I've seen ups and downs with Norwich - even being knocked out of the FA Cup by Orient - but nothing could compare to what this club has been through.

Geez, as a Villa fan, I thought just getting relegated to the championship a few years back was bad enough, but to see what Orient had gone through, I’m so glad things are starting to look better again! All the best LOFC!!

I'm not a Leyton Orient fan but this is heartbreaking to watch how a big club have been destroyed by a SHITTY owner. Ömer Riza and Neale Fenn did brilliantly with what they had to work with but it's really upsetting to how the football league haven't done anything it's a disgrace #becchettiout

What the U.K. really needs is a 50+1 rule, like in Germany.
With that rule it's impossible to just "buy" a club. Investors can only buy 49% of a club, so that the final decisions about what's going on with the clubs always stays with the members.

Thanks copa 90 for covering the stories that matter, a brilliant piece. As a Tottenham fan I know what heartbreak is, but this is something else. A massive club being destroyed before our eyes. The FA needs to do something about this, disgrace.

This was somehow one of the most beautiful and amazing displays of love and passion of supporters toward their club. Bechetti or whatever that shit bag’s name is, should be put in front of all these great fans, and whatever happens should go unpunished. God Bless Orient and their supporters, best of luck from an Arsenal fan.

I'm a Luton fan and I am devastated to see Orient go down in 2009 we went down and it took us 5 years to get back in the football league and those 5 years felt like hell I wouldn't wish relegation from league 2 to any team (other than our rivals) but still #Becchetti Out
