For a club I knew so little about 34 minutes ago to having a lump in my throat watching them win is such a testament to the supporters of Betis but even more the absolute incredible level of detail and passion that Eli and the whole Copa90 crew puts into these videos. I never think they can one up themselves but they always do. But at the end of the day with documentaries like this how can you not fall in love with football.

I was there that night, with my father... I was 3 years old when we won Copa del Rey in 2005, I grew up seeing my team in Segunda (Second division), having to deal with the insults of the teams that grew while mine stayed in mud, hearing the stories of the old people talking about Gordillo, Alfonso, Esnaola... and how those were the golden days of Real Betis... But that night was magical, I had never hugged my father harder in my life, both full of tears and all I could think about was about going to the city centre to celebrate it with all my friends... With some good luck and a lot of work, this will happen way more times in the near future. Manque pierda tuyo siempre💚💚💚💚
Visited Sevilla last week. Took a tour of the city and the first thing my guide did when he saw me in a Betis jersey was take a selfie with me. Throughout the whole tour whenever he saw a friend he knew, whether a bar tender or taxi driver he pulled them over to me to shake their hand and show me their Betis tattoos. Clearly such a passionate fan base 💚💚 Mucho Betis
As an American you’re aware we are quite behind on football fandom. What this particular segment / series allows folks like me to see is the love and passion from fans far beyond what I thought orginally. The young man attending the game in tears referencing his grandfather made me weep in remembering my own. For me it’s baseball, and my dreaded Chicago Cubs, that remind me of my grandfather. Every time I go to Wrigley Field he’s with me. It doesn’t matter the sport, love and passion is the same in every country, in every language. Sport is beautiful, and I’m finding out football is as lovely as any other. Tip of the cap to all of you struggling and still able to find the love for your club. Someday I’m coming to see a match I promise you.
River is just like Madrid or Barca, a big club used to always winning - you cant understand what people who support teams like Betis (or my own team) go through.
So many similarities with the club I love, Aris Thessaloniki. The only difference is that our trophy winning drought is not 17 years but... 52. And counting. Some great moments here and there, some huge victories (defeated Atletico Madrid twice in a month back in '10) but other than that it's just bleak moments: unfair results, relegations, late promotions, financial problems... and a hated rival who wins trophies. Still Aris is counted as one of the big clubs in Greece. Cannot even imagine what will happen when we eventually win something... Greeting to all Betis fans. My new favorite club in Spain. VAMOS BETIS! From Thessaloniki, Greece.
As an American who studied for Sevilla for a semester in college and fell in love with Betis, this video made me realize once again just how special this club is. Growing up loving soccer and supporting Chelsea, I had no Spanish team to support and my host family converted me into a Betico. I distincly remember my host brother telling me the difference between Sevilla and Betis, and him telling me about "Dicen que estamos locos en la cabeza" and it really sticking with me. Thank you Eli for this incredible film and thank you for reminding me why I became a Betico in the first place 💚💚💚
From Chile. I just love this team. Their tragycomedy stoicism mixed with some swag/pride attitude. Their workingclass mediterranean roots and vibes. The fact that Juan Miranda shot the last penalty (the name of my brother who passed away). Betis musho betis, manque pierda!!!
"Estoicismo tragicómico mezclado con una actitud de orgullo" creo que es la mejor descripción que he leído jamás del beticismo en 32 años como bético 😆 Me lo voy a imprimir en una camiseta verdiblanca
This documentary made me cry... As a fan of Football Club Vojvodina in Serbia, I can absolutelly identify the feelings Beticos have during their long life of suffering. Vojvodina is a huge club, but always in shadows of the big two Serbian clubs, Partizan and Red Star. This short movie represents a way of living rather than a football story. It shows how everyday struggles dissappear when the matchday comes, and how people live in the times of despair and chase glory through the success of their beloved club, no matter the status or position of it. At last, this line got me weeping: "Betis is not just a football club, it's a way of life... A tough one, but a fun one. And life is about having fun, and I think even though you lose most of the time, when you have a chance to have fun or have glory, you have the time of your life." Thank you Copa90 for showing this incredible story, and most of all THANK you Betis for being who you are and keeping the fight going on till you are alive!
This is the football i love.. I don't care about Real Barça Bayern etc.. Incredible football club, incredible fans, congratulations not only for winning the spanish cup, congratulations for the people you are
This is incredible as a Portuguese one day i went to Estadio Municipal de Portimão and watched Betis playing against Porto in the middle of the Betis crowd, that was an amazing feeling, their energy and idoletry about Joaquin was amazing as well, i remember that one baby was crying and his mom whispered on is ear "Joaquin" and he stopped crying it was outrageous, cheers from Portugal my dear Beticos friends 💚
I'm from Barcelona and I couldn't stop crying with this documentary...one of the best documentaries I have ever watched in my Life. More than just a documentary, it is sublime
Reminds me a lot of my own club TSV 1860 Munich. In the early 90s we made it back from the third division back to the Bundesliga. In 2004 we were relegated to the second division, from 2005 to 2017 we suffered in the second division and had to share the Allianz Arena with our local rival FC Bayern. Since 2011 we have also an "investor" from Jordan, but he divides the fans since he hasn't helped at all. In 2017 we were relegated from the second division to the fourth division because we didn't have the money for the license (although we still have the investor). But our relegation to the fourth division gave us the opportunity to leave the Allianz Arena and return to our very old and small but rather charming stadium. After one year in the fourth division we were promoted to the third division and had a huge party. There is even a rather telling video comparison on UA-cam of our party with the celebrations of the FC Bayern for winning the national title in the same year. Although the club had these ups and downs it is still one of the most famous ones in Germany. On Friday we had a cup match against Dortmund and lost 3-0, nevertheless the fans celebrated the whole time. Was an amazing experience.
As a Bético living in Japan. Thank you. Thank for sharing our story and explaining everything so well. I'll definitely use this video to help me make more Béticos around the world and to explain our way of life! Musho Betis 👏🏻👏🏻
COPA90 is honestly so good… always looking forward to their videos. So well researched, shot and edited - all involved in the process of making these videos are so obviously passionate about the beautiful game.
Fantastic film, I am British but my son and I have followed Betis for the past 18 years. If you love football then the fans of Betis are the embodiment of all the emotions which go with it.
This documentary had me in my feelings for I have been a life long NY Jets fan and I have lived a life of suffering. The supporters of Real Betis are close to my heart for I found a fanbase that I have an emotional connection with. This documentary is so well done that it makes me want to support the team, for the supporters have my heart..
"but if you are already winning, if you take the lead...you are scared of loosing what you already have so you will suffer even more" - Betis fans and us, we are alike" - San Jose Earthquakes fans shake fans with Beticos.
Please never stop making these documentaries this is unreal I’m Newcastle United season ticket holder 35 year - I’ve never seen support like this I was in tears watching this - forever Betis I’m with you now
I get special nods when I wear the Betis shirt I got myself in Seville. The story is when we played Seville (Manchester City ) in 2015 , I went all day Betis fans were wishing us luck and the day after they thanked us. Me being the same determined to create city fans in Seville , gave a city souvenir to a waiter and got myself the shirt. Now and when I come across a betis fan and speak to them it always makes a good story. betis made friends with city that day.
Wow y'all can tell a story. I was sitting here making the same expressions as these fans were making. Was on the edge of my seat hoping they would win.
What a fantastic documentary. Really cool to see Bellerin involved in this. Had no idea his connection to Betis ran so deep. I hope we (Arsenal) can sort something out with Betis so he can go back on a permanent deal.
having read a bit about betis and watching a few documentaries on them, this really got me to tears. Being a Man Utd fan these past few years have been hard for us and i can just image how hard it is for these fan. I really have a team in Spain that i am goin to support now. I am now a Betico from Ghana. I love the resilience and passion the fans have for the team. I will one day watch this team play.
Absolute class!! Celtic FC fan here with various Betis merch in my wardrobe thanks to trips to Spain and Seville. Had a soft spot since I read that Celtic donated kits to Betis. Great to see the same emotions there as I know from supporting Celtic, although we are more successful. Keep up the great work Eli. Class again mate.
Was in Seville a few weeks back what a great city with such big teams, but as a supporter of Wolves and Galway United I wouldn't let myself support the glory club, the airport security as I went home to Ireland looked up from my passport and lit up when he saw that a kid from Ireland had taken to Betis and not Sevilla he said to me "Ah Real Betis, Sevilla? NOOOOO SOMOS BETICOS" I suppose an Irish man like me would naturally support the team in Green haha, I might be the west of Irelands only Betis fan even if I support my local Galway United and Wolverhampton which is also strange when most Irish people support big six clubs, but Betis is my adopted club, Verdi-blancos are everywhere in the world
Nice lad! Also Irish people are all around the world! Me myself im a glaswegian with irish blood who's been brought up in Seville and who's a Betis seasson ticket holder lol. Mon the Celts! musho Betis! And up the ra!
OMG! when i saw this video released, i knew i had to tune in! i've loved the fan culture of real Betis Balompie for a long time and always been pulling for them to edge closer into the group of elite teams of La Liga. The passion goes beyond a trophy or recognition around the world, it's the pride they have of Andalucia which cant go unmatched. Te quiero mucho Beti!
What a wonderful documentary, What a beautiful club, what of incredible supporters you have. I had in a lot of moments gallina de piel, i had tears in my eyes watching this! You are crazy guys and you are so beautiful! Viva Betis! Best wishes from Augsburg, Baveria. I will come to Sevilla to see a match! Me enamoré en este equipo!
Incredible stuff! I was in Seville supporting my team, Valencia CF, with no tickets for the final and the city atmosphere was awesome. I wish you had been able to reflect on the video the friendship among fans. "Glad" we were won by Betis, even though I have not been able to finish the part of the chapter with the shootouts. It still hurts. Amunt Valencia!
Thank you guys for doing this. This is what football is really about. Not clubs that are so big that they are essentially lifestyle and fashion brands that happen to have a football team. Not playthings for bored billionaires. Not multinational marketing schemes. As the dude in the video said, every fan deserves to realistically believe his team could have their day in the sun. There's nothing wrong with their being "big clubs," there have always been big clubs, but the scale has gotten so tilted now that if you're not a big club already, your only hope is that someone with trillion dollars swoops in and buys you, otherwise, there's almost no chance of success. That kind of stratification will kill the game.
Goosebumps, incredible video and hisotry. I met a Betis fan in london and I also lived with him for years, he gave me the passion for this amazing football club. Viva el Futbol, Viva Betis. Greeting from an Inter fan
As a Trabzonspor fan, I was very touched. Our pains, our feelings, our joys are very similar. Betis people are also playful like us and stubborn enough to never leave their team. The team I respect the most in Spain now is real betis. Even if you lose, don't quit !
As betico and Sevillian this documentary made me drop some tears. Thank you for your interest and the spreading of this unique chain of culture and spontaneity taking place in this ancient city. This may be one day a valuable source for future archaeologists and historians. Viva el Betis
Great documentary and as an Eintracht Frankfurt supporter I fully understand everything they are talking about. Like always having the feeling that something bad will happen. We have won the cup and the EL in the last 4 years and it was worth every relegation, beein on the brink of bankruptcy etc. Stay loud, proud, loyal and support your local team. Screw the gloryhunters.
Here an Andalucian and Betis fan and supporter, but I'm not from Sevilla city, I am from Jaén and Almería, more than 400km from Sevilla, but still Andalusia. Here Betis is as popular as Madrid or Barcelona, here in the street you come across a lot of people that support Betis, as much as the 2 big teams. Betis is Andalusia, is not only our team, it is our way of living 💚🤍💚
Seamos serios.
Honestly one of the best videos I have ever seen on UA-cam. An incredible ability to show how much football means to a city and its people. I had never thought about Betis before and by the end I was truly emotional. Top stuff, Eli is incredible!
This is an amazing documentary! If La Liga actually promoted other teams besides Barca, Madrid and Atletico people might actually get to know the other 17 teams in the league?! Shame on you La Liga. Well done COPA90, this is truly amazing.
You know, I attended this huge watching-along of the Copa del Rey Final at the Benito Villamarin. The thing is, the moment I was to enter the stadium (30 mins prior to the match starting), the door I was supposed to check in was shutted, in fact, due to an electronic problem. So I missed the starting 15 minutes of the final, including Borja Iglesia's goal. It was not just me, it was my whole family and other 60-70 strangers (and béticos) that couldn't enter on time and it wasn't our fault. But you know what? As the whole stadium ROARED as the ball touched the net, those 70 "locos de la cabeza", myself included, also celebrated furiously! It was so different, so many mixed feelings... But it was awesome, and we got to win in the end!! Definitely a story to tell
as a caribbean, I feel so close to the culture of Andalucia, to the accent of their people, this video made me a betis follower, congrats copa90, you made it.
You should visit Osasuna in the cup’s final. The team was almost liquidated in 2016, but a goal in the last minute of the last Segunda game avoided it. 7 years later we are better than ever, huge story.

Felicidades.
Sincerelly, congratulations for this beautiful work, from a bético. You could caught many of the Betis' essence, feeling and philosophy. I was crying at the end with the hippy faces of our People. This is our Best trophy: every child, man and woman who feels Betis how a way of life
How this video hurts to my Betis heart... I'm living at Italia and I really miss have a great hug with my father watching the games together. Crying the whole video.
Mucho Betis!!!

Amazing story. The shirt thing is also so true, the first time I met my girlfriend's parents they had bought me a Betis shirt! Next time I visit I hope to go to a match
As a supporter of Schalke 04, I can relate to the suffering and the pain these fans experienced. I was so glad that they were spared the fate of the SC Freiburg supporters who saw their team go down in penalties in the last German cup final. As the video you did about that final, this here was not just about a club and a match, but you portrayed a city, its people, its hopes and dreams and culture, by using football as some sort of microscope to get a closer look. Well researched and presented like the master storyteller you are. Thank you for introducing me to Real Betis and its fans!
Great video as always 😊 what a beautiful passion betis fans have you can be proud, would love to visit your beautiful stadium one day.fan from Denmark 🤍💚
Just fantastic!!! As a fan of Red Star Belgrade I really enjoy when clubs with passion and history but not rich as 5-10clubs who win almost everything in Europe finally get a chance to make their faithful and great fans happy! Once again fantastic !!
Wow … a really impressive video! This brings back some great memories for me. Some years ago I spent my university Year Abroad teaching English in Spain and whilst visiting Seville I managed to attend the special Betis Centenary (Centenario) exhibition. I witnessed at first hand how passionate béticos are when I watched Betis win 3-0 at the Mestalla at the end of last season. I still remember the colour and noise their supporters created at Stamford Bridge in 1998 and 2005.
Absolutely outstanding, such a relatable video for so many football fans. Those days in the sun and the stress of holding onto leads is what football is all about, big teams who win and expect always to be winning will never understand this video. Betis absolutely will be my Spanish team after this video
These "Once in a Lifetime" videos are beautiful. The two ones I've watched have had me in tears and make me want to keep following the clubs. Would love this to become a regular series.
That was a superb superb story beautifully told. Brought a tear to my eye and Cheshire Cat smile to my face. Thank you Elli welcome back to the channel When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s any team could get to the FA cup final and any team could get into the top six and Europe now in English football the super rich dominate the league and the cups and without a billionaire owner clubs cannot stay in the Premier League. Leicester miraculously winning the league in 2016 was celebrated by all fans for beating the new order of things
But if we had to lose to any team, I am glad it was a Betis team filled with multiple former Valencia players still near and dear to the heart--Canales, Guardado, Victor Ruíz, Montoya...y sobre todo...el leyenda de Guasa, Joaquín--with such a wonderful fun base from such a marvelous city. Incredible video in an era of broken elite football.
This video literally got me crying - I am a Brescia fan and I really hope that one day my team will also be able to lift a trophy, even though that’s nearly impossible
Congrats to Eli and COPA90 team! What a beautiful documentary and how marvelous is to be a Betis fan. Only two trophies since I was born, lots of hours and days of suffering, but, yet, I would not change being Betico for any other club or passion in the whole world. And, still, there are many great things on the way... Viva el Betis Manque Pierda.

I got to travel to Seville a couple years back and found myself both at the Villamarin and in the company of several Béticos and both were great experiences. The club itself is full of genuinely good people and the fanbase were as nice as it gets, very welcoming and kind. As a Liverpool fan, I couldn’t help but fall in love with the club and I’m hoping to eventually get to see one of their games live, and I’m hoping they manage to pull through in Europe this year and build on last season’s success. Mucho Betis 💚
I'm Chilean. We have history with Spain, obviously, specifically with Andalusia, a lot of colonisers came from that region. Betis manager is Chilean, Manuel Pellegrini, and so was the keeper for that game, Claudio Bravo. I was supposed to be studying, but ended up watching the game in discord with some friends. And life is about having fun, and I think even though you lose most of the time, when you have a chance to have fun or have glory, you have the time of your life."
Thank you Copa90 for showing this incredible story, and most of all THANK you Betis for being who you are and keeping the fight going on till you are alive!
I've missed Derby Days so, so much during the pandemic.
Having this new series is just what we needed. Thank you, Eli and Copa90 team.
I've never seen club with so much love and passion and now I'm a fan .. viva real Betis
Come ye boys in blue!
Un abrazo desde la ciudad del Betis👍
I'm from Seville and I live in London for more than 3 years. I just cried with this video, THANK YOU BETIS! 💚
As a Bético living in Japan. Thank you. Thank for sharing our story and explaining everything so well. I'll definitely use this video to help me make more Béticos around the world and to explain our way of life! Musho Betis 👏🏻👏🏻
Arigato! Betico from Serbia here!
Within 15 minutes whilst watching this I've become a Betis fan, looked at shirts on Ebay and planning a trip over. Unbelievable.
"but if you are already winning, if you take the lead...you are scared of loosing what you already have so you will suffer even more" -
Betis fans and us, we are alike" - San Jose Earthquakes fans shake fans with Beticos.
As an American it’s hard to find a connection to a club. Thank you for this video and helping me find my new favorite club.
Real Betis epitomise the beauty of football, this documentary was fantastic! Definitely need to get over to a match at some point.
You are more than welcome pal! Coybig!
having read a bit about betis and watching a few documentaries on them, this really got me to tears. Being a Man Utd fan these past few years have been hard for us and i can just image how hard it is for these fan. I really have a team in Spain that i am goin to support now. I am now a Betico from Ghana. I love the resilience and passion the fans have for the team. I will one day watch this team play.
How has being a United “fan” from Ghana been hard for you? Absolute nonsense 😂
I started to like Betis because Hector played there but after this video how can you not fall in love with the club.
These guys spirit of being a supporting fan base is really captivating
Musho Betis!
I’m from England but I’m now adopting Bettis as my favourite Spanish team 😁
Great video about the best club in Spain, non biased Celtic fan here of course!
Actually Betis colours are green and white after Celtic FC
@@SitoPon yes, this is my understanding. That when Celtic changed to "Hoops" they donated the old "stripes" to Betis.
Was in Seville a few weeks back
what a great city with such big teams, but as a supporter of Wolves and Galway United I wouldn't let myself support the glory club, the airport security as I went home to Ireland looked up from my passport and lit up when he saw that a kid from Ireland had taken to Betis and not Sevilla he said to me "Ah Real Betis, Sevilla? NOOOOO SOMOS BETICOS"
I suppose an Irish man like me would naturally support the team in Green haha, I might be the west of Irelands only Betis fan even if I support my local Galway United and Wolverhampton which is also strange when most Irish people support big six clubs, but Betis is my adopted club, Verdi-blancos are everywhere in the world
Nice lad! Also Irish people are all around the world! Me myself im a glaswegian with irish blood who's been brought up in Seville and who's a Betis seasson ticket holder lol. Mon the Celts! musho Betis! And up the ra!
Patrick O'Connell was the manager that won Betis the title also 🇮🇪
As a kid from america (georgia) i suppoet Wolverhampton also.
I do support atletico also…can’t go my whole life without a w
OMG! when i saw this video released, i knew i had to tune in! i've loved the fan culture of real Betis Balompie for a long time and always been pulling for them to edge closer into the group of elite teams of La Liga. The passion goes beyond a trophy or recognition around the world, it's the pride they have of Andalucia which cant go unmatched. Te quiero mucho Beti!
Coybig! Show the true colours where ever you're from!
Me enamoré en este equipo!
you will be very welcome
I remember crying when Rennes won the coupe de france, I understand these feelings. Felicitaciones Betis 💚🤍

He vuelto a llorar por mi Betis.
Beautiful club and people. Much love from Lillestrøm Sportsklubb in Norway, we also know all about suffering. ❤
🇪🇦❤️🇳🇴
Muchas gracias.
What a present for all Béticos, Thanks Copa that's what football is about. Viva er Betis manque pierda!!! Always!
as a caribbean, I feel so close to the culture of Andalucia, to the accent of their people, this video made me a betis follower, congrats copa90, you made it.
You should visit Osasuna in the cup’s final. The team was almost liquidated in 2016, but a goal in the last minute of the last Segunda game avoided it. 7 years later we are better than ever, huge story.
would be great
They did😊

What an incredible piece of work. Thank you for telling this story. Actually made me cry. One of the best football documentaries I have seen. Gets to the heart of being a long suffering football fan.
Eli is great football storyteller. All his work is A1. This is no different, the doc was beautiful, shit had me tearing up by the time I finished.
Mucho Betis!!!
Mas claro imposible
Eli..this is a masterpiece! I cried so much. Thank you, very well researched a

Amazing story. The shirt thing is also so true, the first time I met my girlfriend's parents they had bought me a Betis shirt! Next time I visit I hope to go to a match
You almost made me cry… keep doing those amazing videos and hopefully u can do “once in a lifetime” about Celta Vigo. Unbelivable Eli 👏🏼💙

I think I could watch a programme of this style about any club in the world. Regardless of what they’re playing for etc. Please keep them coming.
Unbelivable documentary. congratulations, brought tears to my eyes
These "Once in a Lifetime" videos are beautiful. The two ones I've watched have had me in tears and make me want to keep following the clubs. Would love this to become a regular series.
That was a superb superb story beautifully told. Brought a tear to my eye and Cheshire Cat smile to my face. Thank you Elli welcome back to the channel
When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s any team could get to the FA cup final and any team could get into the top six and Europe now in English football the super rich dominate the league and the cups and without a billionaire owner clubs cannot stay in the Premier League. Leicester miraculously winning the league in 2016 was celebrated by all fans for beating the new order of things
Brilliant documentary. Real Betis fans are proper supporters. Through thick and thin they stand by their club no matter what.
Copa90 you better give Eli the bag. Everything he puts out is pure gold and it makes me love the game even more
Congrats to Eli and COPA90 team!
I have seen both Sevilla teams, but the atmosphere at Benito Villamarín Stadium is insane!
As a colchonero, nothing but respect for betis and their fans. They show more passion than most football fans and it is truly inspiring
Amazing video. Goosebumps is too real man. You make me really cry!!! Congratulations, the video has a very good consistency, members, history and a perfect script! And remember that, Viva el Betis Manquepierda!💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
Es que hay que ser der Beti
