      @@DrawshStudio I hope you won't stop with your content. You should have 10 times more views and subscribers at least! I've started to learn how to draw recently and I've seen many videos about perspective. Mostly they either talk like you already should know something about the topic, make mistakes or do 30 minutes videos about the stuff that should take 5 minutes at best, because they don't prepare themselfs well enough to make a tutorial. While you explain issues clear and straight to the point. Thank you!

      Thank you, I appreciate the kind words and glad you appreciate the clarity of the videos. I will put more content out in the future. My teaching schedule has taken over all of my production time but hoping to get back to it soon :)

    Great video! How would we divide the stairs using the x method if we wanted to have an odd number of stairs or would we just use the typical measuring methods other videos I've seen utilize that also tackle stairs in perspective as well? I prefer not to use rulers and precision tools when drawin in perspective.

    • @DrawshStudio
      @DrawshStudio  2 роки тому +1

      Thank you :). The X trick only gives us even divisions. However, there is an alternate pattern based on the x trick to divide in 3rds, if you search you may find it, but it’s a short video I will do in the future too :)

      @@DrawshStudio Thank you for the reply. I have found other methods to divide into thirds and fifths evenly, but the videos on it were far and few in between, that'd be great if you made one in the future. Your videos are very helpful and have tremendously helped my perspective studies alongside a few others channels, keep it up.

      Great! That would be a short video so I will put that in the list of potential first up when I’m able to devote more time to content. Thanks for the support!

    Tried this and had more than one stair close to the horizon line, is there another option to figure out the lines? 2:09

    • @DrawshStudio
      @DrawshStudio  4 роки тому +1

      There may be other ways, but I think these are the simplest if you want them accurate. It can be tricky with all of those lines, but I think the method where you subdivide both the outer and inner planes makes it the easiest if your box crosses the horizon. Give it another try and very carefully account for each line to make sure they match up.

    Nice! .......You didn't talk about how you subdivide the side of the box.....because you do it in an efficient way that doesn't diagonally subdivide the parts where there will not be a stair (no need to, wasted effort). Is there a method or logic for how to do that? Of course mathematically there's a minimum number of lines you need to draw, but how to know what it is? I just experimented with it and by starting the dividing in the top right, and thinking about where there will actually be a stair, i managed it with a lot less lines than before. Although my final pattern of lines looked different from yours (i used 22 lines, you used 21!). And i notice you only used diagonals in one direction apart from the first subdivide.

      I’m not sure exactly what you mean. Subdividing is a method that yields exact numbers of divisions that are all even. I do actually explain subdividing on my channel. I have multiple videos you should probably watch it you are confused.

      @@DrawshStudiowhat I mean is: you used 21 lines to subdivide the side of the stairs closest to the viewer. But you left some squares undivided (because it wasn’t necessary)….. my question is: what is the process of deciding where to make the necessary number of cuts / lines / subdivisions?

    • @DrawshStudio
      @DrawshStudio  8 місяців тому

      That is answered in the video I have dedicated to subdividing, check out my playlists or list of videos :)
