This is massively helpful for learning, but there's some core issues I'm running into your tutorial doesn't cover. For reference, the class I'm trying to make is a Space Mage class that specializes in using the power borrowed from Cosmic Gods to destroy their foes with cosmic forces. The first issue (which turns out to be a lot of issues actually) I'm running into is that the starter spell I want to make currently, Star Burst, is supposed to be a spell that conjures a small star to be thrown at an enemy. When it makes contact with a target, the star collapses and deals fire damage. I don't want to make it too powerful as a starter spell (which a 5d6 success stat makes it broken as hell) but I don't actually know the numbers and how to translate them to normal damage numbers. Second issue with it is that I want to change the actual visuals so that it does actually look somewhat like a star and such but I have no idea where I'd even begin with doing something like that. Any advice?
Sure, you can adjust the damage numbers however you want. So a 5d6 essentially translates to rolling 5 6 sided dies, so if you wanted to roll just one, you could do 1d6. I think there are spells that incorporate player level so it can scale with that. Do you think a video on how to solely adjust spell damage would be useful beyond this description (let me know through a reply)? I am interested in making shorter, miscellaneous videos to improve my video volume. While there is a place for showing folks how to mod X game to appease the algorithm, I want to help my more focused audience too. As for visuals, I personally do not have experience with that. It seems like this video may cover what you are looking for, although a longer video compared to what I aim to produce on my channel. I added covering custom animations to my list so when folks ultimately vote to cover such a video, I'll ensure that the content is focused and a good foundation to get folks going. ua-cam.com/video/U6wIyoudQaU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=OhforFuksake

you though about a pretty basic idea for a mod? a background. there is no help on that topic on the internet and it would be cool to make one in my opinion, also maybe how to add inspiration to them or feats/passives etc. but maybe I am going a little bit ahead of myself haha
Hello my friend, i'm following your guide and they are amazing! So i have a trouble, i want make a class with 3 dragons, like Daenerys targaryen, but i don't have found nothing 😢, i see two mod like this but nothing can help me in the mod builder😅, can you help me?
Sure, I would download the PAK files for the mods (if they are on Nexus) and then drag the files into the BG3 Modder's Multitool to see how the mod creator put it together (you would be looking at text files this way, but the folder structures will be similar). You can get the BG3 Modder's Multitool below. MM: github.com/ShinyHobo/BG3-Modders-Multitool

how would you go about giving the class a spell automatically?

Let me look into this. It should be "AddSpell(UUID)", though I need to confirm this.
What are you going to name your spell?

Fortunately, I figured out how to do that before! I put it on my list of video suggestions!
@@ImADoctorNotA thank you so much, I have problem with some parts of making it, like icons or passives ;(
