Excellent tutorial on how to use and showing setup. I always trust your opinion and I think it would definitely be awesome to test out. Question... all the YT clips I'm seeing is making very thin dado's, any chance we can have a dado demo that demos the making of a 1/2 inch or 3/4" dado's using this tool.

Question....can this product also work on a board that is as wide ...as 2x4? or is it limited...as shown on your video? Thank you your expetise...

Nice vid, but its not such a good idea to draw the board back over the blade when making the initial 2 cuts, as any movement at all of the board relative to the miter gauge would widen the cut, making it less accurate.
Nice video. Don’t forget the backer board to avoid blow out. Keep the reviews. Nice supplement

Can we use it with a router?
It's interesting. I just don't see how it's supposed to be used to put panels together. You should demonstrate how to do it with pieces that are wider
I thought of it for a while and I believe if you were to clamp this "jig" to a crosscut sled and make a spacer that is the exact width of this jig from the side up to leg 3 (excluded), then you could cut the first pass of your big panel butted against leg 1 and then put the shim and butt it against leg 3, then remove the shim again and the jig and do it freehanded for the remainder... what do you think of that Eric? would it be safe? I think so, but I'm a newbie at woodworking, just a mechanical engineer that overthinks most of what he sees/does, lol !

Eric Lindberg I believe there's some health & safety legal consideration. It makes me groan every time I see a UA-cam woodworker rip out a dozen dados a minute.
Seems like it will only work with narrow stock. Not sure how this would work with wider dados which would be much better.

What happens if you switch to a thinner kerf blade or if by some chance you purchase another blade (even from same manufacturer) and the kerfs are off by some thou of an inch? Seems this jig doesn’t quite offer flexibility around swapping blades etc?
You need to purchase a new setup gage for your new blade there is a area on the gage to write down what blade you used to cut the kerf with
Eric Klodnicki watch stumpy nubs cool tools he uses it as well and you don’t actually cut the cut off but you research and see what you think. Also amazon sells them

I like reviews. It may be worth exploring the price/value of the tools you review and maybe comparing different options. I know prices change but price is an important factor in the viability of some tools for different usage scenarios. Some micro jig offerings seem expensive. This price may be decent. The dovetail clamp can be handy on its own, and they do sell this kit in parts if one already has one.
Someone (can’t remember who) showed a trick to make a stop like this using a 1/8” drill bit as a spacer to account for the kerf of their blade.
With this jig Ken makes Barbie's furniture. With a standard table saw blade you can make until a 2 centimeters dado with this jig. If you use a dado set kit add its width to 2 cm.

This video merely repeats the microjig video and does not fully explain the jjgs usage. Whey id the no. 2 stop adjustable out well beyond the no. 2 stop when it cannot be used.
The jig is only useful for narrow pieces of stock under about 3/4". Le'ts have someone show how to do wider stock.
I'm interested, I want to buy one.
