These “cities” are literally just Cincinnati Ohio metro cities. That’s why there is so much wealth there. Lexington, Louisville, Bardstown, and BowlingGreen should’ve been at least considered.
If you're going to live in Kentucky, my advice is to get a hundred rural acres about an hour out from any one of those cities for the same money and get the natural, higher quality of life that no cities anywhere can offer.
I did just that, except only 1-2 beautiful acres for next to nothing$- CASH buy, baby!Everything I've ever dreamed of- at 1/20 the cost of similar property where I came from. I'm a 1/2 hour from Elizabethtown (everything I need), 1 hour from Louisville. Close enough to 'whatever', far enough away to experience stunning beauty in my back yard and peaceful distance from neighbors. Fantastic motorcycle roads too! It doesn't get better than this- bang for your buck and freedom.
I wish I would'be bought land when I was younger. There used to be prime land at least 25 minutes or so south of louisville for less than $1000 an acre. I can't afford it now
All the cities are basically in the Golden Triangle between Louisville, Cincinnati and Lexington. You left out Simpsonville KY, 3.8% unemployment, $61,103 average income, $211,638 average home price, commute time to Louisville ~20 minutes, low crime, the surrounding area is all basically beautifully maintained Saddlebred horse farms (fancy show horses). Oh, yeah they also have a Culver's (about as good as fast food gets).
He did that on his video with cities in Texas however they were all suburbs of Dallas all in Dallas County. Same here most of these are just suburbs in one County.
I don't know where in the crap you got your information, but those are not the best places in the state. Bowling Green was rated best city to live in. My home--is home to Western Kentucky University, Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, the Kentucky Symphony, the Bowling Green Hot Rods minor league baseball team, the Bowling Green Bandits ABA professional basketball team, and much more. Murray was voted best city to retire in. It is next to Land Between the Lakes National River Recreation Area. Kentucky Lake has some of the best fishing in the world. Paducah, Henderson and Owensboro are highly thought of. Lexington is the horse racing capital of the world and home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Smaller towns in the middle of the state all are well thought of and have good reputations And while a lot of eastern Kentucky has poverty and drug abuse problems, a lot of nice towns are there. You picked a cluster of towns that are literally bedroom communities of Cincinnati. While it has its faults, Louisville is the largest city, with many things such as the Louisville Slugger Museum and Churchill Downs, University of Louisville Cardinals, etc. And FYI, Jeffersontown is a suburb of Louisville, which is a million plus metro area. Bardstown has a wonderful arts and crafts district. It is home to My Old Kentucky Home State Park, as in Stephen Foster. Frankfort is a very historical town, and the grave site of Daniel Boone. I'm sure I'm leaving out a bunch of really nice cities. Get your head out of your backside and re-evaluate Kentucky. It's obvious that you know very little about it. MANY famous actors and musicians are from Kentucky.
Main factor in judging was the crime rate , that’s why most cities are excluded , I will rate an Eastern Kentucky city called Ashland as a bad place to live , a lot of drug addicts , high unemployment rate , outdated services , However I met the nicest people there who are kind and friendly but also met the haters ignorant crowd . I would rate Lexington , in my opinion , a great city to live in Kentucky .
Ashland Is a bad spot, Just moved out of there earlier this year and back to Mason, Ohio. Lived in Ashland for 4 years, it felt like 20. Nothing to do or nowhere to go there.
Umm you forgot to acknowledge western Kentucky. Bowling Green, Owensboro, Paducah, i mean cmon. Even Louisville or Lexington. All you did were Cincinnati suburbs.
This entire video is just Cincinnati suburbs and the only way I would want to live there is if I had to work in Cincy. The best place to live in Ky in my opinion is Bowling Green or Lexington areas. If you want City life then maybe Louisville is your thing. Honorable mentions would be Owensboro, Elizabethtown and Bardstown. Georgetown and Richmond are really growing as well so something must be worth living there for as well.
That Irish Chevy Truck Man From Indianapolis I love Lexington. I’ve never really been to Elizabethtown, except to pass through there on I-65 and Western Kentucky Parkway. But I think Hopkinsville is pretty good. Madisonville is a good city as well.
Agreed...this vid is biased...but oh well..some just do these for likes or get off on the comments..we true kentuckians know south & east Ky is where its at!!!!!!
I can’t believe Louisville, Lexington, Bowling Green, Madisonville, and Hopkinsville weren’t on the list. I know there’s crimes that go on in some of those cities, but still.
Young Jeezy and lil boosie just performed in Bowling Green recently. Nelly has been here as well. Also the band Cage the Elephant is from Bowling Green. BG is a top city to live in, and one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Lots to do here, lots of people now as well
I live in edgewood and I will say it's a great place to live. Our tax revenue form the hospital and all the doctors office provides many awesome things. Presidents park is Absolutely gorgeous also has free high-speed wi-fi. Almost no crime. Excellent maintained roads 2 garbage pick-ups a week. A huge walking and jogging community. And an excellent elementary school in hinsdale. I'll probably never move.

Bruh oldham country and Versailles are by far the two best places to live in Kentucky. Both places are top 3 in wealth in Kentucky and you’re not too far away from nice cities like Lexington and Louisville to do stuff. They’re both pretty modern and also people tend to be really generous and nice in these places
I knew coming into this video it would all be Northern Kentucky. I mean it is the best part of the state. Also the only bad part about traffic in the villa hills area is going into cinncinati
I honestly think Lawrenceburg, KY should have been on this list. Schools are highly funded there like Anderson County High School, Anderson County Middle School and Emma B. Ward Elementary. (The top there most liked schools) most people are employed and crime is very low. If you had to get something on your car fixed, I bet Advanced Auto Parts people in Lawrenceburg will do just as soon as you come in. I’ve lived there for 8 and a half years and I loved it there. Now I live in Little Rock, Arkansas but I still think about how much I lived living in Lawrenceburg.
I would have never picked so many northern Kentucky towns that are actually part of the Greater Cincinnati population density of 3 million people. For the most part, most of these towns are heavily populated, and have no "downtown" sections, which is sad. This is a lazy rendition.
They literally just picked the rich, Ohio metro areas. They should at least considered Louisville, Lexington, Elizabeth-town, Bardstown, and or BowlingGreen

I was going to say that some parts of paducah are not great but i don't really care and I love Kentucky as whatever it is like and some parts of paducah are very amazing
I'm surprised there were no towns in western kentucky. That's where I live. The smaller towns are nicer. I live in Webster county and Henderson isn't too bad either.
I just went to the #1 pick today, Edgewood, because I had a doctors appointment. The town is 90% doctor buildings, no kidding. Every type of specialist you can think of, all or most of them owned or controlled by St Elizabeth. Everybody that lives there is a doctor or works for a doctor. The town is wealthy from health insurance money. I'm not saying anything negative about the place, but you only go there if you are sick.
Uhhhh, you forgot about Paducah,Ky. I live there, and it is pretty peaceful. There are no robbers, shooters, or crazy people... fine I’m not gonna lie, SOMETIMES, but who cares? It is okay. Except for the fact it is small.
Russellville in Logan County is rather poor and has a higher crime rate than many small towns. I wouldn’t put it in the top 10 on objective-based standards.
The fact that Oldham County isn't represented on this list is absurd. Best public school system in the state, wealthiest county in the state, highest GDP in the state. Fantastic place to live as well

Honestly, I could never really live there, because it is a bit boring compared to Louisville, but everyone is really friendly, no doubt about it.
I live in Edgewood and the picture associated with it at 3:46 appears to be from another city - ugh. Perhaps Nashville? Now why would you make a video like this and not use actual data and photos?
Those are all great area's and just a short commute to downtown Cincinnati where most of these kentuckians work, including the Cincinnati Bengals & Reds players.
Yo where is berea on this list? My town is safe we are nice people here and. Its set in the heart of the application mountan’s. We have a great mayor and. A overall nice area.
I live in ohio or as I call it oh hell hole. You could give me 3 beach houses and I'd sell them all to live in rockholds kentucky. The best place for me.
I wouldn't consider this video accurate because most of the top ten cities are connected in northern most Kentucky and are basically suburbs of Cincinnati. In other words, there is no definitive distance between those cities. Each city is stacked up to each other and therefore benefit each other.
I am Canadian and considering moving to Kentucky!! Crime was mentioned a lot, is it safe there? Main concern is job opportunities and school for my daughter! Love the culture and landscape! Canada is going down a bad path...
@@jeremyherald9780 my husband commented on this video using my account. He was born and raised in Kentucky and have seen most of the state. Lake Cumberland Somerset Berea Danville bardstown Lexington Glasgow bowling Green Murray Land between the lakes just to name a few of better places than Northern Kentucky or how we say it Southern Ohio. Oh, how could I have forgotten Red River gorge Miguel's Pizza cold Ale8.
If you like nature then the Morehead area is number one. The Daniel Boone National Forest, Cave Run Lake, Locege Rock, Carrington Rock, The Sheltowee Trace, Red River Gorge, etc.. And a top tier (US News and World Report) University, MSU...GO Eagles!!!! MSU is the reason that KY is the only state in America with it's own satellite in space. Yes, Morehead State's Space Science Department built it and control it. In fact, they create and build many satellites for NASA. Even the highly acclaimed MIT can't make that claim. And Ashland has an excellent school system as well. Their middle school academic team placed second in America in the annual academic competition in Washington DC. With graduates like Les Johnson (Former Director of Propulsion and current Deputy Director of Advanced Concepts at NASA) and Danny Miller (Head of Cardiology at the Mayo Clinic), just to name a couple. And, no, Ashland is not a place to stay but an excellent place to give your kids an awesome education. They can go anywhere and excel. When I was growing up Ashland was the third biggest city in KY. Today it is 19th. But no city in KY can claim the academic achievements of its intellectual sons and daughters. I was an average student at Ashland and graduated in the middle of my class but I was one of the youngest General Managers in the history of the Kmart Corporation. I got my first store as a GM in Atlanta at the age of 28. And today I have a thriving business, I own a 200 acre farm, an apartment complex, a four bed three bath home, three IRA accounts and plenty of cash. And everything I own is PAID OFF. I am debt free. Pretty good for a kid that was born in a two room shack in WV and raised in Eastern KY. And I attribute my success to my excellent education. Oh, and my sister was a Professor at Marshall. She completed her doctorate degree at Ohio University in Athens with a four point average having never made below an A in any college course.
Somebody in Northern Kentucky clearly made this video. I live in Highland Heights and let me tell you, the schools in Campbell county are falsely highly ranked. They are based on botched statistics where Campbell county schools purposely does not correctly report incidents and they find ways to illegally prep kids for state testing. I can't deny the economy is great here because you can take advantage of Ohio's economy while living in Kentucky but that's about it. The worst of the heroin epidemic is right here. Ft Thomas probably is all around the best place to live a modern American lifestyle maybe in all of America if the rat race is for you and is the only one of these that belongs on this list. I'm moving out of here now but not back to the struggles of Appalachia where I grew up. Looking for a medium ground somewhere around but not in Lexington. Here in Northern Kentucky corruption in politics and school systems is as bad as it was in the 80s in Eastern Kentucky but the difference is in Eastern Kentucky everybody knew it and here these folks are wolves in sheep's clothing
@@catalanmapping8074 these people are more crooked than the politicians and school officials where I grew up in Eastern Kentucky. The only difference is the crooks in Eastern Kentucky are known crooks and the ones in Northern Kentucky fake like they are good people. Soon they will all see the same fate as Tim Nolan. He wasn't even the worst one in that crowd
@@theotherartifactstoa776 Yeah I agree. Kenton and Boone county schools are much, much better. I also didn't like on edgewood that A) He didn't even show pictures of Edgewood B)He didn't mention the schools. Edgewood has Dixie Heights, not great, but a solid high school. Great private school, St. Pius, as well as solid public schools. C) Didn't mention that even if there was any crime(theres not, only death I can remember is a house fire 7 years back, and an attempted kidnapping i think in 2014) Everyone lives within about 5 minutes from the police station, plus a premier hospital(in my opinion, best hospital south of Cincinnati and north of Louisville/Lexington)
Shame that maysville Kentucky wasn’t considered (I understand that commute times are a thing but it’s only an two or so hour drive from the Cincinnati metro area and the people there are rather friendly (not to mention the Gateway Museum center on the west end of maysville
Ok I live in and go to college in the Lex area and Wilmore is def not the best place in even central Kentucky to live. That would be Georgetown or Versailles
I was just in the Walmart in Shepherdsville two days ago. It looked like the whole trailer park was in there shopping....its slightly nicer than the one in Hillview or Okolona.
How do ANY of these Suburbs Qualify as a CITY? There are not even 10 CITY's in Kentucky. FFS... Jeffersontown... ie J-Town... is just PART of Louisville. It is a section of a CITY.
That's crazy man, I live in pendleton county, just south of alexandria and cold spring, plus all these places (except Jeffersonville) are within 20 to 30 mins of me, most of them are maybe 15 mins away. So I must live in a pretty decent area of kentucky.

Honestly, I could never really live there, because it is a bit boring compared to Louisville, but everyone is really friendly, no doubt about it.
Brian Jones I’m from Kentucky and I feel like u from Bullitt county cause u done brought up mt Washington
I live in Edgewood and the picture associated with it at 3:46 appears to be from another city - ugh. Perhaps Nashville? Now why would you make a video like this and not use actual data and photos?
Madisonville, bowling green, Lexington. Where are they?
Madisonville sometimes not so friendly. I used to live there. People like me who aren't so wealthy can't afford this place.
Those are all great area's and just a short commute to downtown Cincinnati where most of these kentuckians work, including the Cincinnati Bengals & Reds players.
Where's winchester, mnt. sterling , lexington, clay city, and Stanton?
Northern Kentucky has a lot of best places to call home! And these places are not far from Cincinnati!
Murray might be the best small town in America
Yo where is berea on this list? My town is safe we are nice people here and. Its set in the heart of the application mountan’s. We have a great mayor and. A overall nice area.
Bardstown is named the most beautiful small town in America
Someone can describe me the city Paducah please because I'm French and I'm gonna live on this city of Kentucky but i do not know her...
Where’s Lexington bowling green and Louisville I never even heard bout tho s
I was just wondering how you went from number 5 right to number 1. What happened to 2 3 and 4
I live in ohio or as I call it oh hell hole. You could give me 3 beach houses and I'd sell them all to live in rockholds kentucky. The best place for me.
Bowling Green baby!! Fastest growing city
Why is Jeffersontown there
I wouldn't consider this video accurate because most of the top ten cities are connected in northern most Kentucky and are basically suburbs of Cincinnati. In other words, there is no definitive distance between those cities. Each city is stacked up to each other and therefore benefit each other.
Northern Kentucky is the best and we can always go to Kings island
I am Canadian and considering moving to Kentucky!! Crime was mentioned a lot, is it safe there? Main concern is job opportunities and school for my daughter! Love the culture and landscape! Canada is going down a bad path...
I'm from Kentucky and where he was stating is wrong. Murray in Callaway county, E-town, Richmond area are amazing. This is a joke of a top 10.
I live in Northern Kentucky. It's truly amazing here. Stephanie Millman is just jealous. Pretty sure she is crazy. Northern Kentucky is where it's at!
I can agree with Jeffersontown. It's basically a smaller version of Louisville even though we are a good part of it
Northern KY visitors Bureau produce this? I'm from N KY and I still live in KY but many great places were left off the list!
Winchester? Anybody?
What about owensboro,henderson
I went to Lexington today and dang it was NICE
loving mitch mcconnell's horsechit.. FUCKER!!!
It's all Cincinnati metro area cities ?
Yes sir! Ashland resident here. Love cave run, grayson lake and carter caves!
Your school argument is wrong. Highland Heights is a university town.
@@catalanmapping8074 NKU is great. I'm talking about Campbell county schools and I can easily prove what I'm saying is fact
I also didn't like on edgewood that
A) He didn't even show pictures of Edgewood
B)He didn't mention the schools.
@@catalanmapping8074 Kenton and Boone are better on every level
POV: You’ve lived in Kentucky your entire life, but you’ve never heard of any of these cities-
Surprisingly Pikeville KY isn't either, but it's an upcoming city, as well as union ky
So basically it’s the greater Cincinnati area.
Shame that maysville Kentucky wasn’t considered (I understand that commute times are a thing but it’s only an two or so hour drive from the Cincinnati metro area and the people there are rather friendly (not to mention the Gateway Museum center on the west end of maysville
Unsurprisingly no mention of Hawesville or Lewisport. These places kinda suck.
Ok I live in and go to college in the Lex area and Wilmore is def not the best place in even central Kentucky to live. That would be Georgetown or Versailles
Fort Thomas and Highland Heights are the same thing change my mind
No they are not
Wait wait wait wait!!! Where is shepherdsville. We have amazing schools and even our very own Walmart
LMFAO honey move out
I was just in the Walmart in Shepherdsville two days ago. It looked like the whole trailer park was in there shopping....its slightly nicer than the one in Hillview or Okolona.
Whoopie! Sheeptown has a Walmart and its boosters are bragging about that! Drive further down I-65, dude.
Danville
How do ANY of these Suburbs Qualify as a CITY? There are not even 10 CITY's in Kentucky.
FFS... Jeffersontown... ie J-Town... is just PART of Louisville. It is a section of a CITY.
Where is Louisville, Lexington and Georgetown ???
I think Ashland may be coming back with aircraft plant going in the Industrial PKWY , KY 67 highway area !
I believe you are correct sir. I live in ashland. A lot of new businesses opening and they are renovating the ashland plaza hotel
What about Owensboro
Ft wright people aren't happy... Villa hills and ft mitchel are just stuffed outta sight of cities like cov Erlanger elsmere... I'm from Newport.
What about parks, flower fields , personal space, weather, assets?
I live in highlands heights go to old springs almost everyday and live up the street from fort Thomas
I used to live in Ft Thomas and my big brother went to Highlands!
If you film a video about Kentucky, take the time to shoot the video in Kentucky.
All your film shots were generic pictures and not from Kentucky.
That's crazy man, I live in pendleton county, just south of alexandria and cold spring, plus all these places (except Jeffersonville) are within 20 to 30 mins of me, most of them are maybe 15 mins away. So I must live in a pretty decent area of kentucky.
I live in Russell Springs. Just moved here from California 😅
El Mexicano Irigoyen u like it??
How is it?
El Mexicano Irigoyen I live in Casey county it’s like 30 minutes we’re I live
@@prestonscott4928 Stanford
Long story short if your in Northern Kentucky your in the general right area.
Bowling green
The dash cam is of Somerset, Pulaski county is a cool place with rich history it’s not in the middle of kinda
I’ve never heard of any of these cities
boosiemoomoo trust me if you saw them you’d understand I’m from near Edgewood and that place is crazy nice. All old folks
Should have just been called greatest places to live on the Kentucky side of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky metro area lol
These cities are in Kentucky. Nothing to do with Cincinnati metro area. If you don't mention Cincinnati you'll never find Indiana or Kentucky. They do exist and are on the map.
Horrible video, everything is a suburb. Ever heard of Danville?
