@thearthritisgamer946 the kinna thing I'm looking for is something similar to the Dwarf Soldiers in The Battle of the Five Armies movie. I wasn't a big fan of the movie, but I loved those Dwarf designs.

Tbh dwarves are my favorite fantasy race, even more than the elves. My father was a blacksmith and a craftsman, while i am not a blacksmith myself i do know a thing or 2 about crafting. I like most attributes of the dwarves, i like their strength, power, physicality, unrelenting nature and loyalty. I also happen to like the dwemer from skyrim thou they at best are only dwarf in spirit and mentality but still Mer (elf) if i were to pick a fantasy race i were to be a dwarf as i like their hobbies, out looks in life. they are good craftsmen and can forge anything. Thou personally i would not like to look like them and be at their height lol.
The Dwarves will expend any amount of blood, treasure, or lives to ensure even in defeat that the enemy knows forever more. The Dwarves will never give in, and they will never give up.

Man, if only we had this on the big screen like a movie or tv show, one can only hope for such things to happen one day. Awesome video K&G/W&W, top shelf as always!
One of the longbeards was made first. And they held grudges. And it wasn't warhammer 😂 Love warhammer but it compared from tolkiens work uses lots of the same tropes and cultures even.
"Whoah, what a story! Never thought there was so many clans!" - Young Dwarf. "Well, there was another clan, with only seven of our kind... But this clan got lost in another land, and later they helped to rescue a sleeping princess who ate a poisoned apple". - Grandfather Dwarf. "Father, are you telling that story, again? We all know it is a myth... C'mon, the kids need to sleep, and you too". - His son.
Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old We must away, ere break of day To seek our pale enchanted gold The dwarves of yore made mighty spells While hammers fell like ringing bells In places deep, where dark things sleep In hollow halls beneath the fells For ancient king and elvish lord There many a gleaming golden hoard They shaped and wrought, and light they caught To hide in gems on hilt of sword On silver necklaces they strung The flowering stars on crowns they hung The dragon-fire in twisted wire They meshed the light of moon and sun Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old We must away, ere break of day To claim our long-forgotten gold Goblets they carved there for themselves And harps of gold, where no man delves There lay they long, and many a song Was sung unheard by men or elves The pines were roaring on the heights The winds was moaning in the night The fire was red, it flaming spread The trees like torches blazed with light The bells were ringing in the dale And men looked up with faces pale The dragon's ire, more fierce than fire Laid low their towers and houses frail The mountain smoked beneath the moon The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom They fled their hall to dying fall Beneath his feet, beneath the moon Far over the misty mountains grim To dungeons deep and caverns dim We must away, ere break of day To win our harps and gold from him Far over the misty mountains cold To dungeons deep and caverns old
It's interesting to me that in addition to Tolkien's Norse influence for the Dwarves, there was also the Jewish people. (Wandering, self-isolating, resilient and obsessed with accumulating wealth.) He wrote that his presentation of Dwarves in The Hobbit expressed negative Jewish stereotypes, so, he wrote the Dwarves differently in LOTR to correct his error; yet, keeping their Norse essence. JRR was a good man. And to W&W, good drop. I've watched a few times now.
It was also to spite the nazis. He was so disgusted when he got letters from people from the third Reich. Praising the hobbit For making dwarves negative jewish stereotypes That he made Gimli A very different character when writing lord of the rings

In all honesty, this video and production is 100x more interesting and better than the current Amazon disgrace of a show - Rings of Power. This is the way - Bravo lads 💪!
It is their indomitable spirit that most captures my imagination. They will not farm, they will not serve, they will live their way of life until the bitter end.
Just started the video, but wanted to say that the Dwarves are the most under utilized army in LoTR. Especially in the 2nd Age. They should have been at their peak and had Mithril by now. I loved how they depicted them in The Hobbit. So picture that times a 1000 and that's what Khazad-Dum should been like. But theybkinda helped Celembrimbor, then holed up in the mountain and didn't do shit while Sauron took over all of Middle-Earth before the Numenoreansbhad to kick his ass for the first time.

If there is one idea that rings of power did right on thinking about, it’s including the dwarves into the second age story. The execution of it is questionable, but the concept of showcasing them more is sweet. I wish Tolkien went more in depth into the different Durins and how they played roles during the second age, including their contributions to the Northmen alliance, Eregion and the other elf realms, numenor and the Dunedain, and what role they played in the war of the last alliance. I’m not saying everything about the dwarves Needed to be know, as they were a secretive race. Durin the third is secretly very important for his alliance with Celebrimbor and the fact he received the most notable dwarves ring. I’ve found it a cool theory that Durin the fourth fought alongside Gil-Galad and Elendil, wilding their respective axe, sword and spear, commanding the Free People’s effected by the different rings of power. Heck, maybe Durin the fourth also fought with Sauron in that duel on mount doom, dying alongside the two other high rulers of the west. The Last Alliance of Elves, Men and Dwarves should have been its name. Wizards and Warrioris, if you ever cover the war of the last alliance, I would love you to have these thoughts in mind. Also I believe ents and eagle played a role in the Last Alliance too.
Im heavily dissapointed in the rings of power. If they had actual fans or good researchers they would have a much better writing and a good battle scene, the whole Khazad dum dwarves charge in to help lothlorien elves was something I had been anticipating

Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away, ere break of day
To seek our pale enchanted gold
The dwarves of yore made mighty spells
While hammers fell like ringing bells
In places deep, where dark things sleep
In hollow halls beneath the fells
For ancient king and elvish lord
There many a gleaming golden hoard
They shaped and wrought, and light they caught
To hide in gems on hilt of sword
On silver necklaces they strung
The flowering stars on crowns they hung
The dragon-fire in twisted wire
They meshed the light of moon and sun
Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old
We must away, ere break of day
To claim our long-forgotten gold
Goblets they carved there for themselves
And harps of gold, where no man delves
There lay they long, and many a song
Was sung unheard by men or elves
The pines were roaring on the heights
The winds was moaning in the night
The fire was red, it flaming spread
The trees like torches blazed with light
The bells were ringing in the dale
And men looked up with faces pale
The dragon's ire, more fierce than fire
Laid low their towers and houses frail
The mountain smoked beneath the moon
The dwarves, they heard the tramp of doom
They fled their hall to dying fall
Beneath his feet, beneath the moon
Far over the misty mountains grim
To dungeons deep and caverns dim
We must away, ere break of day
To win our harps and gold from him
Far over the misty mountains cold
To dungeons deep and caverns old

Less Jewish influence and more Norse influence in anything is vastly preferred.
