It's great to see Bobby Kimball on stage in much better times than what he's going through now, at 73 and suffering from the early stages of dementia and severe hearing loss. I don't care whether they used a backing track or whatever else here, in his prime Bobby was one of the great voices in music, and he was a huge part of the success of Toto and the incredible body of work they put together. what is even more awesome is when you learn that he is actually playing behind the loop that Jeff Porcaro used on the original recording. Simon is an absolute master at the drums. There is another video that shows what he is playing during the main verse and how he has to play light and accent the main loop and not step on it .... and I would kill to be as fluid a player as he is, triplets for days and days. (and love your Icon, I'm in Oak Ridge, Go Vols!)

Jeff Porcaro was irreplaceable. Even Simon Philips knows that. But more importantly, Mike Porcaro knew it too. He formed a distinct relationship with Simon that was entirely different than his one with his brother because Mike knew, as a part of the percussion section, the importance of having one with every drummer he played with. You could just tell he loved to play every note he got to while he could do it. He'd been playing this same set for decades yet seemed to be just as into it as the first time he heard it. To me the argument of best bass player is irrelevant with Mike. The terms should be of the bass player who loved what he played the most for as long as long he could play it. With those terms there is no equal.

Simon Philips( drums)
The whole band is flawless
One of my favourite songs of all time. Love everything about it.
This is so epic . I was introduced to Toto band through this song in 2013. I came so late, but now I have playlists of Toto songs in my phone and I sing along with them . Thanks Toto for wonderful musics.
1:42 the absolutely perfect example of the "Dad dancing" laugh. Love it.
Drums and Bass are top notch. What a song by Toto.
RIP Mike Porcaro. Your groove is undeniable.
Dude was so into it. Such a legend.

Sunin: SPOT ON !
IKR Mike is a legend sad he is gone
The bass drives this song,so powerful
A top 10 "Chorus" of all time.
This is the BOMB! That jam at the end just shows how great they are.
This song has always rocked....unlike some other bands, it’s good to see after so many years Toto are still just as much alive as they were back in the 80’s!
Never get tired of hearing this song on the radio. I'm so glad I got to live through 80s
Something about this number that when I would hear it in the background when driving I'd have to TURN IT UP MAX and rock out !....... what a great number guys .
I'm 24 and I guess I was on a wrong era. I regret not having the chance to witness TOTO perform live. They simply define music.
You still have the chance
Well, it’s good to see that at least one person of this generation knows what good music duodenum like.
0:51 and 1:15 are exactly the same footage of the bass player.
Both Sides of Phil Collins

Negative... Watch the light and the guitar neck... One crosses... The other doesn't... Perhaps He just enjoys that sex face
Or he was the entire performance trying to fart
@@8MileRepo nah, it's the same
And at 2:22
Drove from WA state to Denver non stop when this was released. Good old FM radio and many stations. Toto was on them all, every hour. Brings back memories.
La música de los 80's nunca morirá viva Toto
Now that's real concert, real music, real arts, real music!
I've seen Toto live twice and I still can't get over this song.
They need to bring this lead singer back. This is Toto. Is range is killer !
One of the most beautiful songs ever made!
Such fantastic imagery. Here come the wild dogs. All you antelopes run for your lives !;.
Essa música é emocionante tanto na letra como na melodia! Sem palavras para descrever!
The continent of Africa, you haven't seen yet. This song invites you to Africa, which may be fantasy, but the scale of that fantasy transcends the real dimension.
That was absolutely terrific! They were a very talented band of singers and musicians. Thanks for the live clip;
The three original members. this is pure gold
The bass line on this one is just phenomenal.
Bless his heart he is no longer with us. RIP Mike.

One of the best songs ever written. Love to listen to it. ❤️ I have listened to every version on UA-cam over and over again.
Hello how are you doing it’s nice meeting you here
Great to see and hear David Paich, Bobby Kimball and Mike Porcaro [R.I.P]. Just a shame Jeff Porcaro [R.I.P] and Steve Porcaro are not here.
Toto can never be Toto without these guys in the band, whilst the're still alive.
Mike Pocaro, master of the BASS FACE!!! RIP... you truly were a master!
JJ B yes he was
Wow both Mike and Jeff Porcaro are gone. So said RIP Mike and Jeff.
JJ B the Groove Master. What a Bassist, what a guy. Gone forever, forever missed. RIP Mike

One of the best songs I’ve ever heard in my entire life..

Just have a great time to be in the Army in Germany during the 1980s. Being at or near the Iron Curtain but also having all this great music that the US was making at that time. Awesome!!
Which army British or US?
Simon Phillips....the most intelligent, creative and different drummer that I've seen...the best!
