Yeah Jeff had skills beyond comprehension and best of all, yes, this was Well produced. Love the sound of the way drums were recorded in that era. Rich and full of energy. You Never hear drums sound this good anymore on US recordings.
Having listened to this so many times I really like the few notes on the synth that run up to the bass note played on the 1st & 3rd beat in the early part of the song adds to the grove and gives it a funky feel in my view. One of my favourite Toto songs

Jeff was one of biggest drumming influences. I was devastated when I heard he passed.
Yes, Sir!!!
This song is just one of a thousand songs that show the unmistakable groove and touch that the Late Jeff Porcaro used on this song. The Horn arrangements along with keyboard work is like peeling off the paper of fine chocolate.
Yes, the space we call Pocket, the musicality with his phrasing and accents, his use of dynamics all on the highest and deepest level possible.
@@budhiharlow4945 I think Toto did their best work in the 1980s. Of Course Jeff was still around. I hate though the big stink Jeff's widow has made over the continuation of Toto. Steve and Joseph are still carrying on.
So well said. Just all the right hits in all the right places.
Impeccable voice! Joseph at his very best. His solo tracks are great as well.
Who listening thiis song in august 2024 ??

@@kevinkennedy6170 are you kidding?
@@kevinkennedy6170 hello
I cannot tell you how ecstatic I was when I heard that Joseph was rejoining the band in 2010. His voice has really matured over the years.
Joseph Williams is the voice of Toto - awesome singer!!!!!
Vinking of Skandinavia Bobby Kimball too
@ them both are great musicians
Actually Bobby Kimball and Steve lukather.
J0ZZE123 don’t forget David Paich
Joe is the best singer they ever had.
My favorite Toto's tune. What a fine arrangement, performance and dynamics!! Unfortunately it was quite underrated here in Brazil..
Impresionante!!!!!
Buen gusto musical!
Temazoooooooooo

Naguara yo en el 2021

My favorite Toto song that never got the radio play it should have
Agree this is a brilliant tune.
This is an amazing song and kinda glad that radio did not get ahold of it and run it into the ground. Toto is one incredible band for sure!!

Boy can sing…he still sounds this good today..🇺🇸🇺🇸
The best voice of TOTO..!! Imho..!! 👍
Haven’t heard this song in a long time… geez this video is just perfection. Each member just a master of their craft and Just the musicianship of this group is just second to none. Awesome!
R.I.P. Mr. Mike Porcaro, I hope he's now in heaven jamming with his brother Jeff.
+Jim Smith Fuck you, you don't know shit about Toto and how very talented they are.
THEY WILL BE MISSED!!
myp0nytail A lot!!!
I love the faces Jeff makes while he's drumming. They show that he's into it!
JoeJoe I'ts impossible to not have fun while playing this kind of music.
Joseph Williams... what a voice! In my opinion he's the best vocalist in the history of the group.
I agree. 💯✔
he sounds like my music teacher
Yup. Joe is my favorite vocalist as well. An awesome singer. 😊
Shepherd Kagl Plus,he's the son of John Williams(composer of Star Wars,Jurassic Park,E.T.,etc).
and the adult singing voice of Simba in The Lion King. 😊
Toto Forever. I never get tired of playing this song, Stop Loving You, Africa and I'll Remember You. Its sad that some of the members are dead. Great band!
The funky groove of the song is so good to jam on. I play bass and try to copy Mike's parts, which isn't easy. It's just a good feel song.
@Marcelo Becerra me parece.
Yeah Jeff had skills beyond comprehension and best of all, yes, this was Well produced. Love the sound of the way drums were recorded in that era. Rich and full of energy. You Never hear drums sound this good anymore on US recordings.
That golden period where MIDI programming and digital recording crossed over with real musicians with a proper budget. Just perfect.
YES!!!
Having listened to this so many times I really like the few notes on the synth that run up to the bass note played on the 1st & 3rd beat in the early part of the song adds to the grove and gives it a funky feel in my view. One of my favourite Toto songs
their songs and musics are just different from others...can't really explain...only the loyal fans would know..
Eduardo Monjardin *¡Exactamente exacto!*
Rosanna, Holyanna
Every time I hear this song I think of you Pamela...
I'll always love you.
R.I.P. baby. ♡♡
