Much respect for you guys crawling, working in that tight area. I'm 66 now but when I was a young man I had a job insulating houses with fiberglass insulation. We did walls, ceilings, basements, crawspaces , everywhere that you can think of. Not a very pleasant experience but I learned a lot. Like I said, much respect for you guys. Good video.
Thank you so much hard work pays off. I’m glad it taught you some lessons. We all have lessons to learn. Thank you for stopping by my channel and thank you for the comments always
How old are you guys? Im 64 and luckily in great shape. I did my project under mine during the hottest part of summer last year in Florida. It takes a special breed to do work like that. Retired from construction helped me. After cleaning everything ,i put down plastic but just over lapped my plastic a lot . And no one else will be going under mine except me. If you guys do that full time, i give you great respect.
Check out my channel. We do lots of mobile home stuff. Being under the floor is not my favorite place to be. Paul 57 I’m 62. Florida is hot. Thanks for watching
Getting older. And doing work like this. Is. Not for sissy's@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair
Thinking about trying to fix under my folks place. Probably want to have a fan blowing under the house to cool it off and basically wear a full body virus suit thing. Gawd man it's like a whole different world under there. It's so low in some places you have to shimmy along using your ankles and elbows 😳
You’re both helping me \ us. Thank you. After 68 years in stick built we got a 1969 Starlite double wide now. Yea Haa! Stay safe.
Awesomeness. I love mobile home life
You guys are very inspiring appreciate you two 😊
Thank you so much!
They are awesome and did a great job. Highly recommend them!
Thank you so much
They are a great help. Really appreciate you!
Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing your real world experience. What mil plastic did you use for the vapor barrier?
6 I believe
Man I have like 16-18" of shimmy space under our place. God I wish it was a foot higher. Thanks for the video.
I tell everybody if you have a single wide trailer put on a lot anywhere the first thing you want to do is give yourself at least 3 feet underneath so if you ever have to go there, it’s easily done
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair yeah this is a big double wide from 85' too
Thank you for the comment. I hate low areas.
Good job! Great.
Many many thanks
That is a tight space. The mobile home we have is sitting higher. A lot more working room. We plan to move it soon and I was thinking maybe we should put it lower next time but maybe higher is better.
Higher is better
Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it
Drew I am in Arizona and just had a quote to replace the underbelly and insulation. $15,500 sound reasonable to you? I should say single wide 14x66 . $5500 to repair duct work
Sounds steep to me but. Not many people like getting under 1
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair thank you. I thought so too. The quote comes from a company that specializes in under your mobile home. Love your videos. I guess I might to try and tackle this myself. 60 year old a bit overweight female. Thanks again!
It’s not that easy to do. I hope you have enough room under your mobile home to work because if it’s tight it’s gonna be tough. You might want to see if you can get another estimate. Maybe you can come down a little bit
you guys have alot of patience, love your videos!
I like to share my knowledge with anybody who is willing to watch
How much do you charge for this??
For everything here. Around 4000
thxs for sharing...
Thanks for watching!
Respect 🧌
Thank you
What's that spray called?
3 m heavy duty adhesive
@@Drewsroofingandhomerepair i got some but it not really sticking to the old insulation. The underbelly is more fabric than plastic. We're doing foam boards plus a vapor barrier gonna use the 3m to still it to the boards
Ever encounter an angry critter under one?
Never an angry critter but many dead critters yuck. Yuck.
what type of tape did you use on the vapor barior?
Extra duty, spray, adhesive and gorilla tape
