I knocked on this door and got no answer. But, as I was walking back to my truck, the neighbor across the street told me it has been abandoned. We got talking quite a bit and the lady that used to live here left a couple years ago due to health concerns. She hasn't been back since and they try to keep up on the lawn. It has turned into a jungle though and has gotten way out of their hand...

Schön, wenn die Verwilderung ein Ende hat, was den Rasen betrifft und die Gehwege. Aber mal ehrlich.... - damit ist eben die Ordnung im Körper nicht hergestellt, durch eigene "Gute" Nahrung. Und manche in Eurem Land scheinen Riesengärten zu haben und das bleibt alles völlig ungenutzt. Das ist mir unverständlich. Oder gibt es in Eurem Land ein Gesetz, was eigenes Obst und Gemüse anzubauen verbietet? Hab ja sowieso keine Ahnung, wo du dich befindest. Ich vermute, in den USA.

That's true. I love having good neighbours. I used to have really nice ones at my last place but now I live in a block of appartments and it's lost that nice neighoubrly feel. I still say hi to my neighbours and they're polite enough back, but it's not quite the same. If you have good neighbours, make sure you appreciate them while you have them.

Yay! Finally helpful neighbors. Before I get smashed with comments again about this subject, realize that even with my severe spinal injuries and age of 69, I still helped a neighbor of 86 who needed a quick mow of her front, and very fortunately I can walk and push lightweight things, not much else. My little push mower took me maybe 15 minutes. Sometimes people need help, not nasty criticism. You know what? Not one offered to help me after my life changing experience, and it would have been very nice to at least get an offer to get my mail, food shopping, not just a quick mow. So it might be a good idea to think about others once and awhile, but people don't tend to do that. Thank you Spencer, you really help people, and the neighborhoods. If you can't help them, at least don't harm or insult them, or me. Suddenly becoming disabled and crippled is no joke.
Spencer really goes the extra mile on these houses. Spencer has made giving & loving others profitable. That's something. It really is.

People don't realize how life changing an injury/health complication can be until they experience it themselves. I was both fortunate and unfortunate enough to experience this early on in life. Luckily, I have my whole life to learn how to cope. Its tiring being the only one compassionate about those who struggle, especially when the favor isn't returned. I've come to appreciate the little things that people do for me, but sometimes it's not enough or doesn't feel genuine.

I think this will prevent break-ins now that it looks like it's not abandoned. Kudos to the nice neighbors that stepped forward and tried to do their best. It's finally nice to see some neighbors that have enough compassion to do that. Great job !!
He seems to tackle quite a few abandoned properties. I'm pretty sure the neighbours appreciate it because not having all that brush and tall grass to hide behind deters creeps from breaking in or trashing the properties further.
It's nuts how many abandoned properties there are in Wichita. Where I live, if it's abandoned, the city demolishes the house. The housing market is nuts though and it's extremely hard to find a property to buy here. Even dumpy houses or empty lots are expensive.
Watching this at night before I go to sleep is like my lullaby. So great to go to sleep to this! There are good people in the world!

My yard looks so much better now since I started watching your videos. I now pay attention to detail and actually do all the other things besides mowing, that makes a yard really look good. While doing the details I now pay attention to the health of all the plants and trees and trim them and show them respect and care. We are all part of the same on this earth. When I saw this new video I loudly said "Spencer to the rescue!". My cat who had been bird watching at the window on the back of the couch, turns, looks at me and meowed. Friday's always start off with watching your video's, even the power wash channel. Still amazes me that people with the smallest houses have the biggest yards. Makes me want to keep my yard nice and tidy, thanks for all the great work you do for others. You are appreciated.
Such fantastic thing you do. I lived with and cared for my mom before she passed. I was dealing with her health issues and our lawnmower had quit working. I tried to keep the lawn under control with a weed eater but it soon got out of has. A woman in our town would drive her mower over and mow. I never ask, she just did it to help. It was so greatly appreciated.

Great job tidying up the lawn and making the property look like part of the neighborhood! The world needs more nice neighbors like that man!! My neighborhood has some older folks who can't get out and do yard work. I sometimes stop by and weed a little here and there, pick up sticks or fallen branches that aren't too heavy! Some folks put in many years to get their yards to be beautiful and I think it would break their heart to see their hard work regress back into chaos!!

I can’t imagine how many critters live under that house. Kudos to the neighbors for trying to keep it up. The owner should seriously consider selling it. She’s obviously never moving back in.

The transformation is very eye-opening! Great job! Hopefully, the owner will work with the neighbors in future and get the rest of the property cleaned up (random tree limbs/ old fencing/unnecessary dangling wires/etc. A bit of weekly care will keep this area looking sharp.

I can’t explain why a 75 yr old lady loves to watch this wonderful young man help people but it is enjoyable to see Spencer do such a great job. Make so many people happy. I worry about him going to Florida. (from there) and work n grab shrubs. There are a few snakes there that re dangerous and they hide in those places. Always be safe Spencer and God protect you and Mrs SB in what ever y’all do or travel too.

I really enjoy the before and after transformations you bring to these yards. It inspires me to take better care of my landscape. And I think it must be using the string trimmer that gives Spencer that very nice curve on his back side. Neighbor guy was easy on the eyes too.
