The irony that they chose the one car that is famously bad at sliding to make a drift car out of. I still remember the top gear episode where they compared this to the 458 and specifically said that this car was undriftable
I bet a big reason is because of the differential, street McLarens use an open diff with simulated torque vectoring via brakes. The GT3 cars use true LSDs.

mclaren has an open diff just change the diff and your good plus this was a factory race car so prob has diffrent diff

Suzuki-san 360 is crazy enough of an idea to be used as a drift car, well i don't know he would eventually made a 12C GT3 to be one, hats off to the guy
Check out Fueltech's Turbo F355 build. That's a pasta rocket I can definitely get behind.

As cool as it is to see the McLaren drifting, the onboard footage and sound of the actual drift car isn't comparable.
I actually owned the number 4 orange on this car. Loved it. Did a tune on it and loved it more.

I find it hard to believe that neither the McLaren or Porsche were modified to increase available steering angle.
Especially after seeing the front wheels on that Skyline!
the McLaren has a steering kit, the ferrari doesn't, but it also doesn't do crazy angles
there is acutally a Porsche 993 IIRC that paricipated in Formula D in Amerika for some years. quite intresting build even now.

As far as I know, no drift class anywhere in the world impose a power limit, I guess the car is relatively early in its testing phase and with the paddle shifter 300hp might be enough to learn to use this car.
