Nice to see you soder instead of crimp connectors
I've nothing but bad luck with cheap connectors.
Thanks for the wiring info, didn't get all gangster as you on connections. I just used the blue connectors and electrical tape ha ha. Shopping list: soldering equipment to get to next level. Thanks great video!
Did you get soldering equipment yet?
I bought and a truck that had these head lights on it. Your video helped me figure out what they were. How did they work for you over the years? They seem to help holding up on this truck okay but the install missed some of the functionality of the lights. I am working on correcting that now. Thank you for the video!!
One low beam bulb burned out in first seven months. Other than that still works good.
@@LazyGrandpasGarage That you! Just seeing your response.
You could've remove the pins off the connector and tap into the wire solder and heat shrink
There's different ways it could be done, I chose this option.
Who runs Barter Town? This rig looks like it's ready for Master Blaster! 😂
Are theses a dual headlight bulb design or single?
One bulb for low beam, separate bulb for high beam.
I just purchased these and it says bulbs not included does that mean I need to buy the h1 leds for it?
I assure you they had H1 bulbs in them when I purchased them. Things could've changed since then.
Could I install these if my stock headlights have the amber strip I have an 06 1500
They claim they fit 2006-2008, you'll need to contact Advertisement

@@LazyGrandpasGarage I have a 08 and I just ordered a set and the ones in your video are the exact same set.. some of them do specify that they can not be used on the model with the amber strip lights so I’d say read the description before ordering them.. but for $140 it’s one of the easiest upgrades for these trucks, I went with the headlights and the LED taillights $250 all in which isn’t bad at all..
@@williamkoehler9048 I agree, should always verify with manufacturer to make sure they fit your application.
Thank you for that advice.
@@LazyGrandpasGarageno problem.. just finished installing mine, gotta wait for it to get dark to see how far out of adjustment they are.. but they sure do look better than the faded cracked up old ones
Never understood the 400lb weight on the front.
Which weight is that?
Those are PAin in the ass to adjust them
Yes you have to pull the whole assembly out, took me about 20 minutes to do both.
@@LazyGrandpasGarage Dang, forgot about that part. Guess not done yet hahahaha!
