just done mine..35years ex..timed up correct timing..no engine codes uruns fine but a horrible tick noise like tapping 2 spoons. cnt loacte area..rechecked timing, spot on..sounds like a broken rocker/bearing any ideas..engine runs smoothe apart from this

I must've missed why the customer was lucky? Did you forget to show us a badly degraded timing belt or similar?

Yep. 315 000km first belt snapped. Wasn't changed by the mechanic like he said 130 000km ago...
