@@theradiorover Very nice too. The Mrs wants to go running in the Peak District, so I will be on Shining Tor (G/SP-004) tomorrow morning whilst she completes a loop or 2!! Hoping for the same kind of peace. Again, thankyou
Thank you Chris. This one has only been activated nine times, and three of those are mine. I do see more folk up there in the summer, but as you saw in the video, it's a dawn to dusk affair in winter. 73, Fraser MM0EFI
Yes, I did time it rather well didn't I? I was about half an hour over the planned stay at the summit due to doing some 2m and then waiting for my friend to get to a local summit for a 2m summit to summit. Still made it back before dark, so all good. 🙂
fantastic fraser. I used to love those early am,s on Helvelyn. years ago, never see 5am these days hi hi, too old hi. never heard anything on 10m for 12 yrs, 40m LP good into gm this week. thanks for sharing mate.
Which is weird, as a ham radio dude yammering away is a pretty common video style; one where you get the experience of the operation, is something all together different and a refreshing change. Onwards to more!@@theradiorover
Great video! Do you usually operate without headphones or is it just for the camera? Personally, I find it much easier to hear faint stations when wearing headphones.
as lovely as that is, what i wanna know is Who is the cat! :D :D us cat fans cant help but spy another moggie..... and more to the point are we going to see more of him/her in upcoming videos! Top work as usual Fraser, Wish i had the stamina these days for some of the big ones :(
@@theradiorover Indeed, and the fewer edits you do, the longer they take (how did I do that...). But it also takes a lot of time to record a bunch of video takes. Thanks again!
Thanks. Landscapes, landscapes, landscapes.
And breath....... the solitude, the noise of the earth, pure bliss. Thankyou Fraser
Thank you 😊
It was a long and serene day. Very quiet apart from the water. Didn't see a soul.

Hi Reid, I'm glad you enjoyed that one. It was a brilliant day out on one of my favourite mountains.

Great camera work, excellent video. HNY Fraser to you and the family.
Thanks! HNY 😊
Bravo Fraser!!
Thanks! I loved making that one. It just took a long time to edit.
Great video as always. I find it hard to believe that you have these fabulous places all to yourself. 73 Chris M0RSF

Excellent video -= A long day on the hill in winter.
Thanks David. You'll have to join me one day. 🙂
Great video Fraser. Happy New Year to you & Mo, from me & Nic. 73, G7WKX.
Thanks Simon! I had a great SOTA year, activating abroad and at home. This was a highlight. 🙂
All the Best, Fraser MM0EFI
Great Fraser, I missed you, I was out getting furniture for the shack and got held up. Next time 🙂
Furniture for the shack? Sounds very posh! 😀
Very good, walk timed to perfection with such limited daylight hours at this time of the year.

Great video Fraser. Really enjoyed it!
Thanks! It took a while to edit this one, but not as long as it took to climb the mountain. 😀
Yes that was a fair trot that!
Ha! Yes, a good 18 miles. I usually bike the track but didn't fancy it in icy conditions.
Cheers, Fraser MM0EFI
A great film Fraser, good to see all great activations start with a brew ☕
Can't leave the house until I've had a cuppa or two. The cold overnight oats isn't the best at 5am, but it is very nourishing.
You really are getting quite good at this video lark.👍
Cheers Dale. I used to do videos like that but no one watched them! I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I did making it.

I carry ear bud headphones but never use them. Even when it is windy, I can normally hear weak stations.
Glad you enjoyed the video. 👍

He was a feral kitten. Now 6 years old and pretty comfy in his life. 😁

I only see him in winter. In the summer he is gone for days!

What was that snack you were eating with a spoon from a glass before you left home 🤔
Speedy breakfast of overnight oats. 50g oats, milk, honey, dried fruit and some peanut butter. Leave it in the fridge overnight.
