I recently began watching SpectreSoundStudios, and became instantly addicted. The channel is great, and being the musician that I am, I take great inspiration and motivation from each and every video. I play many instruments, but find myself particularly interested and talented in bass. I love criticism, and Glenn hating on bassists really gets me going to be the best I can be. If my guitarist and I could find members that were willing to stick with the band, and write some solid material, I would love nothing more than to have Glenn as our studio tech. Keep up the great work.
I would really love to hear balanced audio levels in videos like this. I use a 75 watt PA system for my monitors, and I live in house with people that don't appreciate loud volumes. If it is doable to limit the main volume (which it should be for a professional of your caliber) it would make viewing these videos much nicer. I know dynamics are awesome in music, but in interviews its nice to hear everyone at an even level. Just my preference. By the way, I absolutely love your videos! Just wish I can hear them perfectly balanced. \m/_
Hey Glenn, glad to see someone talking to the techs rather than just the bands! Super interesting video, so thanks. I didn't really know where to ask, but I was wondering if you had any thoughts on the new Line 6 Helix unit. I know you've been really against Line 6's stuff in the past, but from the (limited) demos I've seen this thing seems like it's keeping up with the Kempers and Axe-FXs of the world. To me, the Helix would seem like a really cool alternative for a slightly more budget rig. Any chance you could demo one for us?
Good video. I've always been curious on stuff like this with techs. Along with the "what is your normal day like", add in like a "does this guitarist like new strings everyday?, Do you do the switching for the player or does he manage it on stage" kinda stuff like that.
Hi Glen, I love your videos and think what you're showing us is great for those who want to setup their studios and record the right way. I have been through your videos though and not found anything on recording with a click track. I'm a drummer myself and I need some advice first of all on what good click tracks there are which have a line out feature -- the only one I came across was the Tama Rhythm watch RW200. Basically I need to know how to run a click track with the music side by side but with volume control for the click track. Does that make any sense at all? What I want is that each musician be able to adjust the volume of the click to their liking as this is a live recording session with all the musicians in one room. Cheers!
One of the ads on UA-cam is bellaleaf which is like a ladies version of Fitbit. I had to watch a full minuet ad before this video. Must've been my location
SpectreSoundStudios maybe you can do a video on good hardware and bad hardware. how it can make your guitar tone sound different. and also good and bad pots. knowing to make a affordable guitar better without spending thousand bucks. let me know what you think Glenn. Rock On!
And the reason he doesn't tech for them anymore? Because he doesn't even realize the WA-600 comes stock with those pickups and locking tuners. Look Willie, they pimped out your guitar! WIth the exact same parts it came with! isn't that fucking awesome?!?!?!
This channel is getting better and better, its probably the best thing on youtube right now
Thank you so much!
you're welcome. Keep on rocking!
SpectreSoundStudios lol i like how you were trying to show him how to interview with the mic...but he wasn't gettin it
+Pandemic Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
Hoogie is excused though, since he's actually the one being interviewed:)
Really tho
Congratulations on the 60k subscribers! Keep growing!
Ο Επιστήμων Damn not too long ago was 50,000, that's insane
Amazing man, great job as usual. Thanks Glenn, you're my hero! 😊
I knew I was gonna click the like button before I even watched this. Would love to see you do more interview/rundown videos like this!

Cool video!
As a small aside that is relatively unimportant, the LTD WA600 comes stock with the Duncan pickups and ESP locking tuners.
Thats sick man! Should definitely do some more interviews with guitar techs if they're about.
Great company got my first endorsement with wb gear. Big thumbs up to them.
"7 String Trapt" oh god...
Great interview!!!
Good shit. This channel is some solid good shit.
Keep'em coming.
Your channel doesn't disappoint. This was a sweet interview.

CHEERS
Wow man I really want that guitar!!
Nice. Love the setting of the interview. Makes me *really* miss being out on the road. Badly. Must remedy that.
You had Woods of Ypres in the studio?!
I did the first two records!
Windsor ain't the biggest place.
Lamb of God is an awesome band, gonna see them soon at Roskilde festival, Denmark.
He's like the metal version of comic book guy from the simpsons.
And nobody cupping the mic! Very good!
Always interviews with the guitarist(not a bad thing) rarely with the techs themselves this is awesome
I met this dude whilst Lamb of God were on tour here in the UK

Awesome channel and no BS!
SpectreSoundStudios Congrats on 60k! Could you do a video of the pros and cons of passive and active pickups please. Thanks

Can't you bring two mikes next time?
I think it could make for a more pleasing viewing experience. Good insight!
Keep on keeping on.
Nothing better than a little lone time

I dont even record and i love this guy's channel
"St, Blues"
The same St. Blues that Tom G. Warrior used?
The Music at 5:40 🙈
noticed how he didn't shake his hand in the end.
I need the back track from this video
For an audio tech, this interview is a really good example for bad miking
Hoogie's the cool dude.

That guitar is pretty sweet.
Wow glenn did you loose weight?Nice vid man
New subscriber, awesome videos! One complaint, I didn't see your Bellabeat leaf. Shame on you Glenn😉
