My wife and I have been diving the Farne Isles seals and wrecks for over 40 years! We have dived all over the world but we decided to end our days on Knifestone, the outermost rock that shows at low tide when we shuffle off. We are in our seventies, so in our will, we want our ashes to be chucked in there and keep diving sort of.
Sitting back and lying in the kelp having the seals come up and play with your fins is one of the best experiences in cold water I think I've had there, only trumped by the sea floor of the MV Akka near the clyde. Sea stars a foot thick as far as the vis would allow. A fitting place to have your ashes spread I feel but may you have many more experiences like that in this realm first!!
Oh guys!! 🙄 I've been watching you for years and love your videos, but I really wish you hadn't parked there. Free park ups are fine as long as they're not right outside someone's house (and all the other reasons I won't go into here), and people will rightly get pissed off if it is happening in a popular area such as Skye. Please remember the influence your videos have on others looking to do this kind of trip. If they think they'll get away with it it'll only get worse. We live in Glasgow and travel a lot round Scotland, but avoid the really popular areas unless we're booked into a site. There are a lot of other parts of the country that are just as beautiful! Also thanks for staying in a campsite, at least for a night. I think a lot of the problem is caused by folk looking for free park ups all the time, and not being willing to pay for a campsite once in a while. Loved the video otherwise 🐾
We love this Chanel too but totally agree with this lady, we are also full-time van lifers but can't condone just parking anywhere. We have a rule, if we are self doubting something/anything like in this situation : "If its done once, ok it can be maybe fine, if its done 100 times is it still ok, generally you end up with the correct answer unless your a t*sser.
Totally agree, there are so many beautiful places you can park up at legitimately and cheaply. These click bait videos are not only annoying, but exhibit no responsibility to discourage all the things that stop van life being very annoying to locals.
Could not agree more. Tik-Tok, Instafame and Yougrub flash mobs are horrendous up here in the summer but would appear that those desperate to stay relevant are appearing out of season now. The level of entitlement these people express is why the locals are starting to reach for their pitchforks.
Don't know why. But I found it mildly annoying that after your second knock by a local, you didn't immediately move to a better parkup but decided to cook and eat a meal which could easily be done after moving and more time for enjoyment than wolfing it down (?).... seemed a bit inconsiderate.
Loved this one especially the slower pace and the lovely calming slower music. It felt less erratic and rushed from your usual walking very fast speed kind of hyped up on too much coffee approach. I’d love it if you could carry on this way. Thanks guys. Love you both and your dogs!
Your pronunciation of loch is fab….absolutely getting the hang of it ! Love that you went by ferry - the bridge was super controversial back in the day - ferry is the way to go for sure xx
Loved this! I am currently in Fort Augustus, hiking the Great Glen Way with a friend, from Fort William to Inverness and we are constantly marveling over the stunning colours and scenery! Coming back with my husband in our van next fall, for a slow wander around Scotland and the islands, and can’t wait!
Ben Nevis is a challenge not to be underestimated. The track was once called the 'Tourist Trail', but that was changed because it made the cimb sound too easy. One in five people never make it to the summit, and the summit itself it shrouded in cloud 5 days out of 7, so you have to be fit, and ready to pounce when the weather is favourable.

I moved from Dorset to a little town in Ayrshire 7 years ago and the people have been nothing but lovely, friendly and welcoming. But you can understand them getting nervous of too many motor homes. Unfortunately not all van lifers are as considerate as you lovely people.
Oh yes, we completely understand how the locals can get a little miffed with all the vans, I imagine the summer to be crazy up here with tourists as it’s busy enough now! Thanks so much for watching..😁
I lived in Oban but i made the mistake of moving back to bath so miss the people 😢. I should have moved back up in June but still stuck here in bath. I’m thinking about selling my van 😢

Hi guys, loved going to Scotland for the first time last year. Was totally blown away by the scenery but the Isle of Sky was on another level. Elgol in particular was unreal, if you've not left yet definitely worth a visit great park ups! Thank you for sharing your adventures 😃
Hi all, watch every week but it does make me shudder when you park up in residential areas, surely there must be out of residential places to park up for evening. Only putting myself in residents position.👍
Thanks. Yeah we don’t do it that often but sometimes there isn’t many options at all, like arriving late somewhere.. Isn't Scotland just beautiful pawpeople. Lovely to see you looking so relaxed this week, despite the knocking indigenous folk 😂. Enjoy your time on Skye.
Guys there's lots of free park ups in Skye you just need to know the area as with most places. After tarbet on the west coast heading up to Skye including Skye there's tons of out the way park ups. Happy travels.
Ah the filming in this is breath-taking, stunning scenery, so expertly captured as you meander your way to your destination, luved the ferry crossing, how amazing seeing the dolphins. The dogs were good, mine would have been all over the place, panicking hehe. Just luving your adventurous spirits and thank you once again for sharing, such a special vid this one by far, xxxx PS we lived in Wales for years and the rain, well it just doesn't stop !!!
Amaaazing that the ferry to Sky is so cheap! We live on Waiheke Island in New Zealand and the ferry from Auckland (about 45 mins) is about UKL200+ for a car and 2 pax! 😂 I just love seeing Charlie teasing Dizzy and saying Come and Play!! xxxxx
Yeah, we were surprised too.. 18 £ is pretty good, mind you, there is a bridge going over further up the island so if it was too expensive no one would use it I guess! Thanks so much for watching..😁

Scotland definitely isn’t as easy as it was once. Used to be quiet and be able to peacefully park up in so many places. Now it’s no overnight parking everywhere. I do get why the locals are annoyed. The covid crowd have a lot to answer for. Also these parking apps have been a terrible idea overall.
Knock knock ... who's there ? Very recently discovered your channel. We stayed in a haunted hotel near Ben Nevis. It was a scary night . Sounded like there was a fight going on in the wardrobe. Also scufflings outside the bedroom door .We popped over to Skye. I ran a bath in the hotel there and the water was the colour of black tea . But the proprietor reassured us that it was just the peat in the water . Enjoying your travels . You are very easy to watch . Love your two wee dogs . ♡ 😊
Thanks for those epic shots as you traveled. We appreciated that you included the rain, mud and visits by "the knockers." Thanks for inserting the seals, too! Hope that Nick's head is better.
What I remember from Skye 30 years ago now were the clouds of bugs that followed us, also the one vehicle lanes with the passing wide areas. Beautiful place though , and great whaskey.
I didn't realize Scotland is so very beautiful. Your drone shots are spectacular!!! I can't wait for your next vlog....the vlogs can only get better and better.
Stoked how well the New rig is working out. All the effort and hard decisions, paying off. Beautiful Autumn in Scotland , thanks for sharing. Enjoy..... Every moment is Life🙏🙏🤙🤙
I did say to you before your visit, somebody else I follow had the knock and it was from 3 men who told him to move on, if not they would be back. Even the police warned him for his own safety it was better if he did. Loving your scenery footage, don’t forget whilst on IOS to visit the famous Storr.
I too am nursing a bashed head! Done under worktop in kitchen cupboard . I saw stars 🌟 Get better soon Nick. Loved the vid, beautiful scenery. Go gently you two xx
I had no idea the scenery was so beautiful in Scotland. Too bad for the rain for the train shots. It was still nice to see. Sorry Nick got the bump on his head. Hope it doesn’t take too long to not be sore. And hoping you found another place to park. There seems to be so much inland water in Scotland.
With regard to the "knock", you need to be aware that Broadford in particular has a long history of unauthorised, long-term encampment by traveller families and that this long pre-dates the current camper-van issues that Skye in general is facing. So where you were stopped risked triggering a combination of fears in the minds of the adjacent households.
Great video! When you go back don’t miss out the Ardnamurchan peninsula, it’s absolutely stunning, loads of park ups and nobody else there! I saw eagles and otters there ❤
Parked overnight exactly where you were in Glen Nevis. Took our little staffy up the Ben on the so called tourist track. When he was lifted up onto the trigpoint at the summit I don’t think he realised he was the highest dog in Britain. A great day with perfect views, so unusual! Loving Scotland and your experiences.
Another lovely vlog in a beautiful area… thank you both. The doggies look so cute in their little jumpers… and it’s great they just let you put the jumpers on without a struggle! Hope you don’t get too big a bruise on your head Nick! Take care! Jan & Turner xx🐾🐾
I think you bring your good vibes everywhere which shows your experience, you roll with it 😅 sorry about your head Nick that does suck. Happy trails from Canada
I love Scotland. My partner and I did the NC 500 in May a rented motorhome it was out of this world the scenery was breathtaking taken. You would love Scotland . Can’t wait to see your next Vlog and hope Nick will be okay bless him ,
Should try the swc300 ,since your in sunny scotland lol,you will love it, plenty park ups next to the sea mostly,i think skye ect is too far over rated,
The drone footage in this video is amazing, so is the scenery. Sorry that Nick hit his head, I hope it gets better soon and let’s hope you don’t get anymore knockers!, take care and keep safe 🙂X
Brings back memories when I saw the Jacobite Express steam train. I travelled on that a couple of years ago from Fort William to Mallaig, then parked near the Glenfinnan viaduct to see the train return. Great memories. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for filming.
Lovely video guys, I love Scotland, might be there ourselves in a couple of weeks time. Skye is lovely, very dramatic you have to and see the Old Man Of Storr!! I was last there 10 years ago we had a great time enjoy the rest of your trip, hope you dont too many more “knocks” 😮😊
Great vid as always - fantastic footage of the steam (choo choo) train and the seals in particular - definitely on our radar for a visit in the next year or so. Happy travels 😊
I live in Scotland and totally agree with your opinion of Skye as I went for the first time a couple of years ago in late April thinking it would be before the main tourist season would kick in but I was wrong!! I found everything you highlighted to be the case then. I lasted 4 days. Beautiful place but not for me. Its a shame you are not going even a little bit further north, turn left as you come off of Skye, as I am just back from the Torridon area and I believe you would get what you are looking for there beauty, majesty, secludedness....a must for your next trip to Scotland.
Fort William was torrential rain when I was there. Only saw the smoke from the train from a distance, couldn't get parked anywhere near it, didn't even see the aquaduct. So thanku for the awesome footage from there. Hope your head heals quickly Nik, beetroot wasn't actually a bad choice, if you'd have stuck a piece on it it would have drawn the bruising out 😊 Enjoy Skye inspite of the knocks. ❤ x
I agree, never put small park ups on park4nights etc as they become overrun and banned. Part of the fun is finding your own gems and leaving them for others to discover on their own.
We're the same. Just keep our little local ones to ourselves. Sadly one of our favourite ones just went on P4N and already there's been fires, human waste and rubbish left. Gutted
It's important to remember, though, that where wild camping is permitted (such as in Scotland), the permission is only for tent campers who arrive on foot, by boat or bike. The regulations don't permit camping in a campervan, motorhome or caravan.
Wild camping refers to tents. Nothing to do with vans or motorhomes. There are no laws against parking a van and sleeping in it as long as it's insured and taxed. Only laws that apply ard if there's a carpark with a TRO.
@@ipirrie6734 There are laws to prevent such activities, The Trespass Scotland Act 1865 makes it a criminal offence to occupy a vehicle on any land without the landowner's permission. The Caravans Act also makes it an offence to encamp on a highway. There is also common decency, so perhaps don't park up overnight near houses.
Permission for those arriving on boat, bike or foot only? That's tantamount to "no wild camping" IMHO... very few will arrive that way, needing all the camping gear... I'm neutral about it BTW...
Parking your vehicle on a highway or layby and sleeping in it is not an encampment. It's perfectly legal. Lorry drivers do it all the time. @@junehall2177

Really enjoy your vlogs. Disney & Charlie are so cute. Hope your head is not hurting too much, Nick. Fingers crossed you find a nice quiet spot for your next overnight stay.
I have loved this week's vlog. You guys did such a beautiful part of the West Coast. I must have been on the road to Mallaig at least 6 times ,one of the most beautiful drives. I am always a bit behind on the vlog as working, so it's always too late for me to give you any recommendations. I have some lovely parkup recommendations for Skye. But the best have no signal, so no good for you guys. If you're still on skye, I would recommend the bridge as the drive back is beautiful and somewhere you have not seen.
Nice - been round all those places many times. may the force be with you - always
knock knock guys 😁, beautiful beautiful Scotland, and sorry you knocked your head Nick! Always lovely to see the little family 😍
Ah the filming in this is breath-taking, stunning scenery, so expertly captured as you meander your way to your destination, luved the ferry crossing, how amazing seeing the dolphins. The dogs were good, mine would have been all over the place, panicking hehe. Just luving your adventurous spirits and thank you once again for sharing, such a special vid this one by far, xxxx PS we lived in Wales for years and the rain, well it just doesn't stop !!!
awwwww, Thankyou so much for the fabulous feedback and kind words.. Sending love ☺️xx

Fabulous vid guys! Paul & Lin ❤❤
Thankyou so much guys ❤️ x
Scotland definitely isn’t as easy as it was once. Used to be quiet and be able to peacefully park up in so many places. Now it’s no overnight parking everywhere. I do get why the locals are annoyed. The covid crowd have a lot to answer for. Also these parking apps have been a terrible idea overall.
Fab video! Scotland is such a beautiful country! Hope you read recovers quickly Nick.
Get well soon, Nick! 😂😂😂😂 (sorry - i couldn't resist). Beautiful footage, guys! Hugs from Lauren ❤
Thanks for taking us along with you. Xxxx
What's whaskey? I take it you mean whisky (no 'e'. Whiskey with an 'e' is Irish).
Was this on Skye? Otherwise, it seems irrelevant as they've only had one knock in many years...
I too am nursing a bashed head! Done under worktop in kitchen cupboard . I saw stars 🌟 Get better soon Nick. Loved the vid, beautiful scenery. Go gently you two xx
I’ve done that. It’s very painful 😢
Oh no! Sorry to hear this.. Hope it’s not too sore 😊
It's so beautiful in Scotland, I want to go now more than ever.. Nick, I hope your head heals quickly. Happy Travels you guys 💜🙏💜
I'm just going to I say it. That B roll was incredible!!! The views the music on point you too!
I saw eagles and otters there ❤
Great video again guys, glad you're enjoying our beautiful scenery ❤
Parked overnight exactly where you were in Glen Nevis. Took our little staffy up the Ben on the so called tourist track. When he was lifted up onto the trigpoint at the summit I don’t think he realised he was the highest dog in Britain. A great day with perfect views, so unusual! Loving Scotland and your experiences.
Lovely vlog! The seals were magical and the scenery in Scotland is just astounding! Sorry about your head and hope you're ok now! 😊
Aww poor Nick and his cut head! Thanks for showing us the sights and for being your lovely selves.
The opening sound tract was perfect! The Isle of Skye, can hardly wait. Beautiful shots of the scenery.
Great to see you really ilooking happy and enjoying Scotland The dogs will love it !
Loving these Scotland vlogs. Fantastic scenery to feed the soul. x
I love Scotland.
My partner and I did the NC 500 in May a rented motorhome it was out of this world the scenery was breathtaking taken.
You would love Scotland .
Can’t wait to see your next Vlog and hope Nick will be okay bless him ,
I've been on that train the scenery is even better than on the road
Oooh your poor head! 😢 Looks like you are having a fabulous time. Dizzy and Charlie are the cutest of puppers 🥰🐾
Should try the swc300 ,since your in sunny scotland lol,you will love it, plenty park ups next to the sea mostly,i think skye ect is too far over rated,
Lovely to see all the places I knew so well again. Thanks.
Isn’t it beautiful up here!? 🏴.. Thanks so much for watching..😁
Get well soon Nick😊, catch you on the next one. Have a good week ❤
Thank you! You too!❤❤❤
The drone footage in this video is amazing, so is the scenery. Sorry that Nick hit his head, I hope it gets better soon and let’s hope you don’t get anymore knockers!, take care and keep safe 🙂X
Some of those shots with bridge and train…look like a beautiful painting.❤️…gorgeous views! Happy travels.❤️❤️
The music. 😊❤️
Get well soon Nick!! Hope you find somewhere good to park with no one knocking asking you to move. Beautiful video with amazing scenery. Thank you
awwwww, Thankyou so much ☺️☺️xx
Thank you! I can count on enthusiasm and fun every Thursday!
Brings back memories when I saw the Jacobite Express steam train. I travelled on that a couple of years ago from Fort William to Mallaig, then parked near the Glenfinnan viaduct to see the train return. Great memories. Beautiful scenery. Thanks for filming.
You’re welcome.. It’s just so beautiful up here 😊❤
Great photography Nick
Thankyou so much ❤️ x
Stunning footage , beautiful places. Thank you for bringing us along. Catching those Dolphins was amazing 🤩 ❤
Haha, yeah hopefully that’s the end of the knocking 😮.. Thanks so much for watching..😁
Thanks for all the info and lovely scenery and yes it is fffreezing up there lol xx
Great vid as always - fantastic footage of the steam (choo choo) train and the seals in particular - definitely on our radar for a visit in the next year or so. Happy travels 😊
Thanks.. Scotland keeps giving and we love it up here.. 😊🏴🧡
Loving the fab choice of music backing on this vlog 🎹🎶 it makes viewing even more enjoyable 😊
Thanks.. Yes! This is where we’ll be heading next time we’re in the UK for sure! 🏴❤️
Oh dear, hope the head is OK. Fab vlog and amazing filming. Loved it. X
Thanks so much🏴❤️
Fort William was torrential rain when I was there. ❤ x
You always go to cool places and experience them like regular people. I can’t wait to watch more!
Gutted
Another brilliant video, thank you so much for the entertainment. Oh and get well soon Nick xx
Love following you guys always look forward to your videos
@@jimbob-robob Please check out The Scottish Outdoor Access Code, motorised activity is specifically excluded.
Parking your vehicle on a highway or layby and sleeping in it is not an encampment. It's perfectly legal. Lorry drivers do it all the time. @@junehall2177
I adore Mallaig and Arisaig. We camped there many times during our childhood too.
Great vlog guys, beautiful drone shots, thank you and good luck finding knock-free spots for stay overs . 🎉😊❤
Stunning footage!
Enjoyed the vlog especially the drone shots over the viaduct. You are not far from meeting the fairies at Fairy Pools, they are very good at fixing heads👍
Looking forward to the next vlog, enjoy your lovely relaxed tour around Scotland 🎉❤
Scotland is an amazing place to spend some quality time to chill and reflect.. The people are so friendly and willing to help if needed.😅😅
It’s amazing up here isn’t it, feels completely different to England doesn’t it.. Loving it 😊
Really enjoy your vlogs. Disney & Charlie are so cute. Hope your head is not hurting too much, Nick. Fingers crossed you find a nice quiet spot for your next overnight stay.
Hi guys , the wee islands in the water are called skerries ❤. Cheers James
Oh ok.. Thanks so much for the info James xx
Ouch, poor Nick! Hope the bruise isn't too colourful. 🤕
Scotland looks beautiful, thank you for sharing!
Thankyou so much.. Thankfully we had a cold bag of beetroot!! 😂❤️ x
@@theexPAWers who knew beetroot was so good for you in so many ways... 🤣
I'm looking forward to seeing where you have ended up next week. Ps stay safe in the storm that is coming x
