Re, comment “ Angry locals told us to leave and called me a ……. “ did you see the brilliant telling off from Mike, (Mike & Trish, oot and aboot) haha the deserved the response the got.
Fab video as always, I loved our trip to the Falkirk wheel and Kelpies, we didn’t get to see them at night so great to see your night shots! You’re absolutely right too, we found in Scotland everyone has been really nice, only negativity I saw was in video comments, not in real life which is great. Great to see the dog station, what a lovely and helpful thing to have . We ❤️ Scotland. Hope you both have a fab week, All the very best, David & Rachel 👍
Thanks for putting us right about the good attitude of Scottish folk to camper vans. Lovely to see your fur babies having fun. Emma sorry you're not well, but a bracing walk on the beach and a good hot curry should blast it out of you! Take care! Jo in France 🇫🇷
The amazing Scotland and right on our door step! I sent years exploring this beautiful countryside and will always be my favourite place to visit The dolphins footage is exceptional well done guys ❤
Wow, what an amazing place and double Wow, to the drone footage of the dolphins which are so beautiful they brought tears to my eyes being one of my all time favourite marine life. Thanks for sharing
We was sad when we saw how poorly Emma looked.. Then mega happy that you got the dolphins on the drone and Emma was happy. The whole video as usual was amazing, but that drone footage oh my days ❤❤❤❤
seeing dophins is amazing saw some in Padstow a couple of years ago while on one of the sea safari trips was leaning over the side to get some photos guide on the boat thought i was going to join them 😁😁 so lovelly to see and they certainly do lift your spirits
They do definitely lift spirits and I bet your guide was having a melt down thinking about the health and safety side of things 😂😂 but I would have been the same 😊
What a special experience and terrific you managed that footage with your drone. Thank you for respecting Scotland and its people as you always do ❤. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Another cracking vlog guys , Neil that drone sequence with the dolphins was brilliant , Right place right time. Hope Emma is feeling better now. We cant wait to get up Scotland and see the wheel and Kelpies, They look fantastic all lit up at night. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip 👍
wow! How incredible was Leven. I do hope people honour whats put there and put money in the honesty boxes. You've deffo made me wanna go to the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies. I just need to fit the new renogy inverter, new dc to dc charger, etc etc as well as fettling with Viv's innards (oohhh er misses) when I return from minding the furbs in Skipton. You weren't wrong when you said vans are never finished, Neil lol. that Jackery is a great bit of kit. Wish my afeiry had an app. i have to rely on the screen 😮💨 great video and you both and the puppers really look like you are embracing life and enjoying it-except for the moment, Em. Hope you get proper better soon. As ever, much respect and big whoof to the puppers🙏- Kenny
Glad you visited the Falkirk Wheel. We think it's great too! I think we've fallen in love with the community spirit of Leven. Smashing! Thanks for sharing N&Nx
Incredible drone footage . Made me cry from here. Defo on our w3w bucket list for stops. Thankyou . Great vlog .. feel better soon Emma .. take care guys x
Wow guys that was absolutely wonderful 👏 capturing the dolphins 🐬 the water was so calm, such a lovely surprise to cheer up Emma 😍👍 ... love to you both 😘🤗❤👵🏾🐾🐾🐾🤠 xxxx
Amazing footage. We've just watched another youtube couple who's just been to Scotland and they couldn't be arsed to get any proper camera or drone out. She couldn't evem be arsed to get out the van at one point and filmed on her phone from there 😂
Not going to lie I had a couple of days in bed due to illness so missed out on some things, but even on those days I made an effort to have at least one walk outside in the fresh air, help blow the cobwebs away 😂😂 When you are in a place so pretty you have to have a little look around 😂😂
What a great video guys!!!!!!!! And what a fabulous way to end off the week.......Emma. you have such a kind soul! Love you guys...... Stay safe and warm. Until the next video. {and give each of your four-legged doorbells a pat from me!} Frank------Alberta, Canada
Hey loved your footage on Leven. You even got my wee Gary in the shot😊 I’m back there just now and a cold one -5!!! Stay safe AND warm on your travels folks
Cracking vlog as always still howling at your Pronunciation of Anstruther 😂😂 An-stru-there 😜 footage of dolphins fantastic making this north coaster think about heading East 😂😂
That was another brilliant video I do love watching your videos and think you have a mint sense of humour plus it was lovely to see Emma getting so emotional over the dolphins just brilliant 👍
Greetings from Scotland! Aye, we've been given bad press without proper evidence. As you said, clean up, take your waste/rubbish with you and park with consideration - it's not rocket science! Some people behave atrociously, they are the ones who get asked to leave, quite rightly! I know this is a problem all over the UK, not just in Scotland and I've seen some horror stories in Wales and England too! My wife and I travelled all over Europe, full timing, between 2007 and 2018 after living in The Highland Region for most of our lives, before returning to Scotland and now living in a !"proper" house, well a bungalow actually, so we understand "motorhoming".
We love Scotland have been visiting for years and never had a bad experience, and totally agree people who behave badly and without consideration for others should be asked to leave! It’s not hard to leave a place as you find it or cleaner if possible!
@@UrbanVanlife It's crazy why some people visit a place because of it's outstanding natural beauty, then leave it like a toilet! Comes down to educating at a young age....... Take Scandinavia - spotless everywhere, well, it used to be.
Emma here, I have made several of my old staff change their ways with littering over the years as they just didn’t understand the impact it has, soon changed their minds after a couple of week on bin duty and floor cleaning in the bars (it’s a total bug bare for me can’t stand it) one of my old staff still tells the story of me making him clean up half of Tesco car park at 5:30 in the morning after he littered in front of me after a 14 hour shift … he hasn’t littered since 😂😂
@@UrbanVanlife I love that, you rock Emma! I have OCD and I abhor unnecessary mess, so I have little choice but to be tidy. It irritates me, like ants on my skin! My wife is much more laid back, so we kinda even each other out! It's worked for 51 years so far.... 😂😂 Just out of interest, what countries have you been so far? France and Italy are kings of freecamping and cheap "aires". They worked out that if you bypass villages with autoroutes the village dies, so they usually have decent parking areas in or on the outskirts of villages/towns because they know people will generally eat and shop locally, keeping the village alive. They have had tremendous success! (Sorry, I talk way too much!)
We have only been to Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and areas of England so far in the campervan, plenty of other places on holiday prior to that, but we are heading across to sunnier climates soon, we plan to go to as many places as we can while we can, but we have had 3 weddings and a fair few family commitments to go to in the last 4 months all either in England or Scotland , but we did say we wanted to travel around the UK too so we are going to do both Europe and the UK. We are looking forward to seeing many many places!
Hi guys. Great to see you up here in Scotland. I'm sure you will always get a warm welcome here. Well you might get the odd one complaining about motor homes. If I had known you were at the wheel I would have came and visited you. Hope you have a great time on your journey. Take care. Alex.
Well done! the Scottish people have always been friendly to me I have been to Scotland many times. Treat people and places as you want to be treated. Great video. You should go into the Black Isle down to Cromety 😊
Love your banter! I travel to north Scotland every year (man and a tent) and find a very good welcome in every place I go. When I talk to site owners and locals in the more remote places the only frustrations I hear about are due to inconsiderate and/or inexperienced drivers blocking roads, parking like (to use your expression) knobheads and dumping their waste. And I cannot blame them for being annoyed. As you say - be considerate, pay for using the facilities and you'll have a great time. Beautiful country; I love it. PS. I keep meaning to stop at the Falkirk Wheel but haven't got around to it yet - and I drive past it every time! I suppose that makes me a k...head! 😄
Yeah totally understand their frustration, doesn’t take much to be considerate to the local community , people wouldn’t like it the roles were reversed so why do it to others! When you get the chance definitely go and check the wheel out ♥️
0:19 oh I’ve stopped at the Falkirk wheel just up the road from the Scottish Roswell. Brilliant place to park. When you put the deposit down for the key you also get a 10% off voucher to use in the cafe.
Great place, we really enjoyed it, didn’t make it for the discounted breakfast though as we where walking the pups and didn’t realise we had missed it 😂😂
Watched it for the 2nd time guys, I think we’ll get there soon. Brilliant comment Emma on paying for stuff, to many people want everything for Sweet Fanny Adams. Well Said. X
A lot of things are closed for the winter (caves, historic buildings etc) but they open back up in March if that’s your thing but there’s still a lot of beautiful places to see
We have been to Scarborough recently but it wasn’t the best as it did nothing but rain heavily, although the dogs did really enjoy a walk along the beach 🐾🐾♥️
Great video thank you for making it. Il love to see the wheel 😊 I’m heading this way for Christmas 😊 Want to see the horses too did you pay at each to stay the night? I need to go back here so much I haven’t been to Scotland since 2017 :( Love to go to this place and see the dolphins ❤❤❤❤❤
You can stay at the Kelpies overnight for around £12 and the wheel is £15 for 24 hours so you could go the the wheel early, leave go see the kelpies and then go back and stay at the wheel and even have a discounted breakfast in the morning so there’s a couple of different ways you can do it
We just think it’s a shame that people think they aren’t welcome to a place when there is so much provided for them to have a pleasant stay and it proves they are welcome, so why not show it 😊😊
Great wee video and all places not too far from me. Looking forward to following your future journeys. Drone footage was great...was drone setup do you have? Keep up the great work and safe travels.
Looks great up there, don't forget about that " Natto " I told you about when saw you in southport , might help Emma if she's had long cov. Glad doggy doing better.
We were there for 3 weeks in August and had no problems at all with the locals. Great idea for the BBQ, didn't see any while we were there. One of the usb ports on my Jackery broke 😏 How exciting seeing the Dolphins 😊 ❤x
Scotland is amazing and so so friendly as long as you are respectful, we have never had any issues at all over the years! We were soooo lucky to catch the dolphins, a truly amazing experience!
I live near the wheel but never been as I don’t drive but no excuse really! I would suggest anyone travelling to it just check for maintenance work and the weather etc to increase the chances of areas being open.
Neil, try cleaning the earth cluster under the van, the rear marker light earth's are on the nearside box section, near the forward leaf spring mount (i've had the same problem). The earth for the middle and front marker lights are under the drivers seat. Hope that helps. Great video and keep up the good work
We where blown away by the places we visited, we didn’t realise there was a fair few things we wanted to see that where closed for the winter … but we just see that as an excuse to come back when they are open again and explore more 😂😂😂
@@UrbanVanlife Please come back and show others the best of fife lots miss us out its a wee Gem Full of history great veiws and off course locals 😆 haste ya back
Chanonry Point further north is the place to see Dolphins guys over the bridge from Inverness onto the black isle follow signs for Avoch its the best place in Europe and rivals the world's best awesome place a must-go-to love the vids
Yeah a few people told us to head up there but they have put a stop to motorhomes going up which you can understand if it’s getting inundated so we decided to respect that and not go.
brilliant guys . should pop across the water . tay bridge and head towards carnoustie/arbroath coast line. lunan bay. dunoutar cadtle some very nice spots this way.
We’ve spent a lot of time in Scotland over the years and love it but unfortunately this was just a short trip this time due to other commitments but I’ll log these places for our return!!!
oops....... forgot to say it was wonderful seeing Emma become emotional seeing the dolphins , and Neil.......fabulous drone work. I could do with you teaching me how to fly Doris. bessy regs- Kenny
Thanks Kenny it was a very special moment for us both, something about seeing them in their natural habitat that just can’t be described in words 🐬🐬♥️♥️
Check all the earth points/clusters, I lost power to the middle marker light on the drivers side. Cleaned the earth terminals and got it working again. It could also be the lighting control module fault
good video as always. could I ask what portable power station is your go to please. we looking to run air fryer and charge up electronics when off grid. we keep leaning towards Anker C1000 but then again Bluetti 180 are on offer. so many choices
We haven’t used a bluetti 180 so can’t say what that is like, but the anker c1000 is a good power station we used one in Doug for a two week trip in Scotland and it didn’t let us down. We have the ecoflow delta 2 in the van and have had for a while as it has also never skipped a beat! Have a look at your power usage and what you need it for and go from there!
the Falkirk Wheel, is that part of the Canal system? if not ive seen a similar thing on Canal Journeys, with Timothy West and Prunella Scales. it is the one and the same.
He’ll go when he gets over his fear from having teeth ripped out of his head at a young age from a school dentist who later got fired for his practises, but until then don’t think it’s a nice thing to ask personal questions that don’t actually have anything to do with the content, not something I would do personally but that’s just me as you never actually know someone’s personal struggles.
Re, comment “ Angry locals told us to leave and called me a ……. “ did you see the brilliant telling off from Mike, (Mike & Trish, oot and aboot) haha the deserved the response the got.

Hi ya Jim thank you and we have a mavic pro 2 zoom and the DJI controller
Bless you Guys I have a smile on my face watching your happy travels.
Thank you so much ☺️
We need to visit there. Love cold water swimming, it takes time and some planning to re heat. But that’s on our list when we get enough time to do it.
Lovely place with lovely views!! There were plenty of brave people swimming but we are just not that hard yet 😂😂 we’ll get there one day!!
Looks great up there, don't forget about that " Natto " I told you about when saw you in southport , might help Emma if she's had long cov. Glad doggy doing better.
Thank you we haven’t forgotten!!! Emma will be getting her google on as we speak 😂😂😂
Blooming brilliant 🐬🐬🐬Love your life ❤️🐶🐶🐶🐶👫❤️
Thank you 🤩
We were there for 3 weeks in August and had no problems at all with the locals.
Great tips for anyone planning a visit!!!
Good work with the drone 👍🏻
Thanks 👍
100% I love when anyone comes up to our beautiful country, however, like they said, just respect it
Couldn’t agree with you more!
Wow thanks for the drone footage of the dolphins I know how your emotional Emma animals do that to me as well 💕
Yeah any animals are my soft spot just love them especially when you see them in their natural habitat ♥️♥️
I stay five mins from the falkirk wheel and we are always happy for campervans as long as they respect the area.
Exactly this, when people are respectful there’s no issues!!
Great vlog guys 👍 is that a new doorbell camera on the van, if so can you share make and model please? 🙏
It’s not new we took it off the house when we left 😂😂 it’s not an actual ring door bell but does the same sort of thing it’s a EUKI doorbell 😂😂
wow great shots of the dolphins
Thank you, it was a special moment!
@@UrbanVanlife 👍
Neil, try cleaning the earth cluster under the van, the rear marker light earth's are on the nearside box section, near the forward leaf spring mount (i've had the same problem). The earth for the middle and front marker lights are under the drivers seat. Hope that helps. Great video and keep up the good work
Thanks for the tip! Had a look and it doesn’t seem to be that!
Glad you enjoyed Scotland especially east neuk live 15 mins from leven ❤ so all on my doorstep footage of dolphins fantastic
We where blown away by the places we visited, we didn’t realise there was a fair few things we wanted to see that where closed for the winter … but we just see that as an excuse to come back when they are open again and explore more 😂😂😂
@@UrbanVanlife Please come back and show others the best of fife lots miss us out its a wee Gem Full of history great veiws and off course
locals 😆
haste ya back
Nice I like to stay at leven also dysart harbour and Burntisland good idea those motorhome/vanlife designated parking spots with an honesty box
We think it’s a great idea especially with the suggested donation only being £5
Chanonry Point further north is the place to see Dolphins guys over the bridge from Inverness onto the black isle follow signs for Avoch its the best place in Europe and rivals the world's best awesome place a must-go-to love the vids
Bloody outstanding again
Thank you 🙏
great vid on travel keep up the great vid thanks lee
Glad you enjoyed it thank you Lee ♥️♥️
oops....... forgot to say it was wonderful seeing Emma become emotional seeing the dolphins , and Neil.......fabulous drone work. I could do with you teaching me how to fly Doris. bessy regs- Kenny
Thanks Kenny it was a very special moment for us both, something about seeing them in their natural habitat that just can’t be described in words 🐬🐬♥️♥️
Lovely vlog.
Thank you 😊
Check all the earth points/clusters, I lost power to the middle marker light on the drivers side. Cleaned the earth terminals and got it working again. It could also be the lighting control module fault
Thanks for the tips , much appreciated
I bet you were well chuffed with the dolphin footage ❤
Beyond happy, magical moment!
Seen the wheel get build years ago good feat of engineering
Hi all, we are Booked in at Moffat Camping & Caravan Site, from Friday 22nd, for the Weekend. & Christmas Market,
Ooohhh have a lovely time!!!
good video as always.
could I ask what portable power station is your go to please.
we looking to run air fryer and charge up electronics when off grid. we keep leaning towards Anker C1000 but then again Bluetti 180 are on offer. so many choices
@UrbanVanlife Thanks very much for getting back to me - I appreciate your input
Amazing video
Thank you 🤩
the Falkirk Wheel, is that part of the Canal system? if not ive seen a similar thing on Canal Journeys, with Timothy West and Prunella Scales. it is the one and the same.
No, part of the airport.
Correct Mr Quinn!
looks spectacular
Neil what drone are you using pal. Great footage of the pod of Dolphins
We use a DJI mavic pro 2 zoom buddy and thank you
How lucky were you to catch the dolphins, oh and when’s Neil visiting the dentist😂
