Funny enough, I came across Dre's channel a few weeks back and he has re-sparked my interest completely. In just a month, Dre has already compiled a streak of videos detailing his experiences in Cali Colombia that are so engaging that I am hooked. He travels all around Cali and the best part is that his Spanish is amazing. In this video we discussed how he learned Spanish, his journey to moving to Cali Colombia along with his crazy travel stories/experiences living out there. Enjoy your content a lot man I have been studying off and on for around 2 years. I am trying to really get consistent my current level is probably about B1 I was glad because last night I managed to almost talk for 4 hours. it was really hard and not easy but considering the person I talked to speaks almost 0 English it was encouraging. I am just ramping up the hours listening and reading now. Appreciate the videos and interviews 👍

What an interesting and captivating interview. Your guests always have a great story and Dre certainly did. I'm 95% inspired but 5% discouraged when listening because I realize it will be a looooog time until I'm able to approach y'alls level. Still, that 95% keeps me moving forward.

I would like to see you exploring Afro Culture in other Languages and countries; that would make for a great learning, travel and history video. There is Afro culture in Puerto Rico, Colombia, Panama, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Brazil and they all have some similarities, but also they have develop unique lifestyles that are very interesting; the music, the art, the food; there is so much to explore and I bet lots of people would love to watch you explore that part of Language learning.
I'm going to Panama very soon and I would love to explore those and document them on my channel. I have done a lot of research and the history is very intriguing.

En Colombia nos causa curiosidad y un poco de risa al ver a grupo de los "black live matter" o BLM quejarse con su narrativa en contra del "privilegio blanco", pero ellos no se dan cuenta que tuvieron el privilegio de nacer en un pais de oportunidades llamado USA!. Wow, no te quejes tanto, reflexiona lo tienes casi todo a la mano, y si, seguramente deberás esforzarte para alcanzar algunas metas, pero tienes oportunidades frente a ti que no hay en otros paises. Mike "Ganas de Hablar". Ganas is not Spanish. "Volo" vill that is sounded as Will in English is Latanic Spanish.
I have the will...the desire...the ability at this moment is (Tener Ganas. Ganas cannot be uncoupled from Tener)
But Ego Volo does not need Ténéré. Why?

I can't do like my friend who has perfect Mexican Spanish pronunciation and "say what Mexicans say how they say it" as he used to advise me a year and a half ago.
If a Mexican does not know what he or she is saying is not Spanish who will tell them?
Because my friend only says what the say he is like talking to an echo. Worst of all he does all the talking. He will not let the other person talk. He knows they might say something he does not have the knowledge to deal with. So he sounds like an empty shell echoing back Spanish.
What in the hell is "Ganas" which is not Spanish coming out of your mouth when this form exists and is Spanish: "Mi hermana ganó esta carrera en ruta."
"Ganar" to win is a Spanish verb. Ganas is not a verb. So what is it? And where did it come from?
