I don't think any of them are still there. Besides, Conan is a force of nature and, as they found out 15 years ago, cannot be controlled. They don't want him there, they need a hollow puppet like Fallon.
@@stonebaxterhonestly though with how popular Conan is with younger people (especially with the reaction he got from twitter and them sharing all their favorite Conan moments) they at least have to wonder what they missed out on with Conan and the range of fans he attracted
I would guess none of them are thinking that. Conan tests well with the younger generation. That generation does not stay up late to watch The Tonight Show for huge ratings. The people watching are the older generation who see Conan as too over the top and acting dumb.
Conan is a legend. He's got the Midas touch for sure. Every bit and gimmick either lands or Conan bombs it so hard it comes back around and becomes the best part of the show.
From NBC Studios in New York, it's Late Night with Conan O'Brien! With Max Weinberg and The Max Weinberg 7. Now here's your host, Conan O'BRIIIIIIIIIEN!!!
If it wasn't for Conan prematurely leaving the Tonight Show, we wouldn't have the Team Coco that we have today. Including his current podcast, the world tour he did, all his travel segments, his special relationships with his staff including Jordan and Sona. A HUGE blessing in disguise.
Did he went to another show like this or he created a whole new show with just his name on it? Because that'll be just demonstrate how good he is instead of relying on already famous show Isk nothing about this show cuz im not murican myself
What's interesting here is there are moments where Conan almost seems to be trying to catch his breath, almost as if there are all these emotions rushing through him. Great interview.
I noticed it too but it was mainly after he did the bit about freaking out at Kelly Clarkson where he was yelling like crazy and I think that's the main cause, sorry to burst your bubble
Honestly it's been one of my life's unexpected little pleasures to have grown up alongside Conan's career and see him go from "that weird red haired guy on at 12:35" to being rightfully acknowledged as one of the best who ever did it, and one of the few genuinely good people in TV. The couple of weeks around "I'm with Coco" were one of the most heartwarming things I've ever experienced, all the fans turning something sad into something positive and fun.
I'm so glad I was able to see Conan O'brien live when he came to my country to make a special episode... he is so funny 😂 and the best part is that when that show ended he got up from his desk and shook hands with everyone in the studio
He has a new show coming to HBOMax in a few days so he's just making the publicity rounds. It's him traveling the world kind of show which was always really fun to watch so I'm super excited about it. Hopefully Jordan accompanies him everywhere.
You say "these days" as if he's been making appearances for a while and it's not promotion week for his new show and he's mysteriously on tv just for fun.
Conan just showing producers what they let go, he could absolutely walk back into that chair! I am gutted we don't have Conan anymore but can't wait to see what he's got planned 😊
He may not have a TV show anymore, but we honestly have more Conan than ever before. He lets loose on his podcast way more than he really did on late night.
Watching Conan was my life as a teen. I loved him. So sad when he took over the big one and was removed without even given a chance. Late Night wasn’t the same since.
The muppet pipe joke. See how QUICKLY he came up with that. That is so good. I think because conan is quite a busy man, he can't come to rehearsal, so i can only assume its all on the spot. Amazing.
I am from India and I think I have only watched complete youtube clips, from start to end, of only one late night show which was the Conan show on TBS. I have watched each and every clip available on Conan's youtube channel 😊
What's even more crazy is I'm the same height as him and don't feel like a giant. Guess if I was walking around short actors and actresses I'd feel that way. Haha
You either die a late night host or live long enough to become a late night guest. And, obviously, Conan is killing it as both, so good for him and good for us!
@@kstepko- Well, true - it is intentional, but you might be assuming the wrong reason. If you go play the start of almost all of these UA-cam guest clips from the show, you'll start to notice Jimmy's introductions are usually edited out and the guests are already sitting down or about to. One of the main reasons is that NBC is trying to avoid needing to pay music royalty fees for whatever song the band is playing when the guests walk out. They already have to cover that once when the show is broadcast, so by cutting it out here, they avoid having to do it twice. Plus it gets around any music copyright flags UA-cam itself might flag the video with. *Note added: This seems to be unique just to Tonight Show guests clips, because it's not done by NBC on clips from Seth Meyers, and the other networks don't seem to do it for Jimmy Kimmel, or Stephen Colbert clips either. Maybe something in the contracts with Jimmy Fallon or the Roots band(?)*
Yeah, that's a shame. It's probably a copyright or policy thing. Certainly exceptions can be made. Conan returning to the Tonight Show as a guest after the notorious falling out and getting a standing ovation is kind of a great television moment, wouldn't you think? Worthy of an exception. One of the higher ups saying "yeah, we need to include this."
Take a look, in the first conan intervention, when he walks to show how he greets short guests, how he didnt went to Jimmy's area in the back to not brake the host-guest dynamic. Such a gentleman
Conan has so many things in common with Robin Williams. He’s way more restrained and mannered in his approach, but then those bursts of manic hilarity just emerge, and he’s standing and moving around and dominating the space. Not saying they’re at all the same or making any comparison in their legend (Robin will always be in a realm of his own), but the other important piece that connects them is their genuine goodness. For both, actors and comedians love them, and you hear nothing but amazing stories from the general public about how kind and genuine they were during encounters in the real world. I hope Conan still has decades left, but whenever he passes, he will undoubtedly live on as a legend in his own right, and we’ll have all these amazing clips and stories to celebrate the great and hilarious person he is. You’re a good man, Conan O’Brien.
I’ve been a Conan fan for a couple decades now. He deserved the tonight show. But I’m so happy for him and his staff and his family. He really proved who he was during that time. And in my opinion, he will go down with Dave as the greatest of all time. ❤
@Ktcsr17 Conan was not very cooperative during his time as "The Tonight Show" host. For example, he assured all the NBC executives that he'd tailor his material to the 11:35pm audience, then admitted he had no intention of changing a thing. He was also reluctant to take their suggestions. They wanted him to go into the audience more, which he did for a while...and then skipped it. The network thought he should have the biggest stars early in his run to attract the new 11:35pm audience, but by week 2 he booked his favorite, Norm MacDonald. A funny guy to be sure, but Norm's was more of a niche appeal. When the ratings were dropping, NBC wanted him to book Sarah Palin to get a ratings boost. Conan refused. He was afraid Dave Letterman wouldn't like that. Conan's getting crushed in the ratings. The network that made his dream of hosting "TTS" come true is losing money, and he won't book a hot guest because he's afraid to offend his biggest competitor. Every talk show host had a time slot guarantee written into their contract- except Conan. If he hadn't neglected to get this, the network would not have been able to insist he move to 12:05am. At the time he signed the deal with NBC to drop Jay at the end of his contract so he could take over "The Tonight Show," Conan was getting huge offers from ABC and FOX to do a show of his own at that earlier hour. The FOX offer came with a salary that was almost double what NBC was going to pay him to wait 5 years. If he'd gone to one of those competing networks when they were so anxious to have him, nobody would've had to lose their job over it, and "The Tonight Show" debacle could've been averted.
Conan killed it in Hot Ones. He was funny, dropped a few words of wisdom and also plugged in his new show, all while rinsing his face with da bomb. Respect!

How many executives at NBC are watching this.. looking at Conan.. then looking at Jimmy.. listening to Jimmy stumble through questions, then listening to Conan in complete command... then thinking "Goddammit we made the wrong choice.."
Seriously!!!
@@yeedog But then they like Jimmy Fallon?
Conan is a legend. He's got the Midas touch for sure. Every bit and gimmick either lands or Conan bombs it so hard it comes back around and becomes the best part of the show.
This hit me right in the feels.
Its almost hard to watch, Conan is just so good, he could take the show now and run with it so much better then Jim.
@@Belvedere1981god, so true. Anyone watching this would be insane to not to think “why isn’t HE behind the desk?”
Conan hasn't lost his touch since leaving. Still vibrant, hilarious, and real. The GOAT.
watch the hot ones episode, mans almost 61 drinking the hottest hot sauces lol
And Fallon still hasn't found his touch.
How can u hate Conan man this man always made me laugh since I was a teenager 😂😂🤣
From NBC Studios in New York, it's Late Night with Conan O'Brien! With Max Weinberg and The Max Weinberg 7. Now here's your host, Conan O'BRIIIIIIIIIEN!!!
This was 👌
🕺✂️
@@SANTANAMNSTRwe love you

COOOOO-NAAAAAAAN OOO-BRIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEN
Conan is iconic! He doesn't need NBC or the Tonight Show to validate that. 😊
This is the first time Ive watch the Tonight show for 10 mins straight since Jimmy took over lol
Preach
If it wasn't for Conan prematurely leaving the Tonight Show, we wouldn't have the Team Coco that we have today. Including his current podcast, the world tour he did, all his travel segments, his special relationships with his staff including Jordan and Sona. A HUGE blessing in disguise.
Wild. So true man, so true
Only a blessing because of Conan's talent and work ethic.
Did he went to another show like this or he created a whole new show with just his name on it?
Because that'll be just demonstrate how good he is instead of relying on already famous show
Isk nothing about this show cuz im not murican myself
So fuckin true.
What's interesting here is there are moments where Conan almost seems to be trying to catch his breath, almost as if there are all these emotions rushing through him. Great interview.
I noticed that too! If it was anyone else, it would seem like he was nervous.
I noticed it too but it was mainly after he did the bit about freaking out at Kelly Clarkson where he was yelling like crazy and I think that's the main cause, sorry to burst your bubble
Honestly, this is like the first time I've heard Conan talk about Max Weinberg in literally a decade.
Conan is soooo sharp with ideas or with memories, he remembers everything.
🤣 that TSA selfie story! 💕👏👍🤳
Conan is one of the funniest natural comedians I've seen. Interviews and without scripts seemingly he shines. That's a rare talent
He’s 1 of 1, and I’m not exaggerating. He’s such a force to be reckoned with.
Conan's repartee is unmatched. After a certain time, you simply give in and enjoy the show
I'm so glad I was able to see Conan O'brien live when he came to my country to make a special episode... he is so funny 😂 and the best part is that when that show ended he got up from his desk and shook hands with everyone in the studio
Fallon, Hot Ones, HBO, CNN - Conan is everywhere these days, and I can’t be happier about it ❤
He's on a marketing tour, genius.
He has a new show coming to HBOMax in a few days so he's just making the publicity rounds. It's him traveling the world kind of show which was always really fun to watch so I'm super excited about it. Hopefully Jordan accompanies him everywhere.
@@jessicabecause3717I know, and I’m so happy about it!
He has a new show that will be coming out on HBO max 😊
I love this man. Love love love love him.
Very rarely do late night episodes give me a belly laugh anymore. Conan is truly one of a kind. Wish he was still on.
Conan is such a professional! And seems like the most humble guy ever.
I am sad they edited it for UA-cam, but shoutout to The Roots for playing Conan's "Late Night" theme song as he was walking out.
The longer he sits there, the more uncomfortable he makes Jay
LOL Jay doesn't care. Jay lives in your head rent free. Coco's sheep still bitter.
A plus comment
this wins
Dis comment good 😏😂
Jay doesn't feel.
Watching Conan was my life as a teen. I loved him. So sad when he took over the big one and was removed without even given a chance. Late Night wasn’t the same since.
Conan is the absolute GOAT he's such an inspiration. He makes everybody around him a part of himself..so Inclusive.
I have watched each and every clip available on Conan's youtube channel 😊
the crazy thing is that even when crouching down, conan is still tall af
when he stood up it made the entire set look like a scaled down miniature
What's even more crazy is I'm the same height as him and don't feel like a giant. Guess if I was walking around short actors and actresses I'd feel that way. Haha
I been fan of conan for year seeing him return warm my heart my love for him just continue to grow he has best personality in the biz period.
Conan’s remotes especially the ones with his staff and clueless gamer are two of my favourite things to watch on UA-cam
You either die a late night host or live long enough to become a late night guest. And, obviously, Conan is killing it as both, so good for him and good for us!
Loved his late night show, I sure miss it.
the way he owns the space is amazing, he even comments on The Roots at 1:46 😂
former president of Finland killed it
Lol, well played!
conan is so underrated, wished I had watched his talk show more in his prime. really been enjoying his podcast.
Yeah you have no idea what underrated is. He's clearly loved and highly rated.
He’s one of the most beloved and influential comedians of all time.
Conan is not underrated!
(respectfully) you're crazy to even say such a thing.
Underrated????? Come on
Conan is in his prime now. Check out the podcast
I didn't understand Conan's humor when i was younger but looking back, he was the absolute best. NBC shafted him big time
We kinda wanna see the standing ovation Jimmy...
Yeah … that’s some very intentional editing there.
@@ThamiumOne well-reasoned!
@@ThamiumOne i think it's just to cut the fluff. But go off i guess
Jf is like a flashlight next to a Sun who is Conan O'Brien
Wow, he's 60 now. At least his hair is still growing... really high, LOL.
He looks great for 60!
Honestly it's not bad hair, he just keeps getting this terrible haircut.
When he grew his hair out over Covid, he looked sooooo much better.
Everyone in Hollywood has plugs
That selfie story was hillarious. Plus, Conan is certainly bigger than the tonight show. Love him.
Conan is so quick and witty, watching him work is incredible. You can see his gears turning and coming up with content in milliseconds
Conan really showed another host on his own show that there’s levels to this.
Conan needs to come back !! Love love love him! So happy they put him on.
Undefeated King of Late night, all the others all together can't compare. Iconic indeed.
