Young & Crazy Rich in Mumbai: A New Generation of Super-Rich Entrepreneurs | India Documentary
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 чер 2024
- It’s one of the most populous cities on the planet with 22 million inhabitants, predicted to increase to 30 million by 2035. Nicknamed ‘the infernal Metropolis’, Mumbai is a city in perpetual development. But with millions of people living in slums located on valuable real estate, how can city planners balance the competing needs of the population?
Every day, new towers of glass or concrete emerge from the earth. Their residents? The rising middle class and super-rich of India. Women such as Jinita, a model, are following a new way of life in the megacity and carving a new style for women. French entrepreneurs are taking a chance on the growing city with new, trendy restaurants for local white-collar workers.

The team who has assembled this documentary seem to be the most unaware, lazy and pretentious ones going around with no knowledge or the will to work hard for a good story. They have gathered together a couple of rich "looking" English speaking subjects who may not have a penny to spare otherwise. The real young and crazy rich in Mumbai will be found in it's alleys and streets who are money rich, street smart with and not just Instagram rich. Stop looking at India through a European and American lens and you will find real success stories. Just by wearing a "backless gown" and becoming more "westernized" doesn't make you a modern and open-minded person! And India's culture of wearing a saree or a kamiz has nothing to do with "stereotypes". In fact, it is this kind of people who spread the wrong message and ideas about one's culture to the world!

Yes go to more shitty places, i feel the minimum one has to spend for good quality food outside the home is 800 rupees per head at least.

A pooja is not a "strange ceremony". In respect of the culture it would be nice to consider this in a documentary about India.
That's exactly what brought me to the comments. After 200 years of rule, their press still hold the same opinion I guess.
I am sure CNN / BBC wont call chaarles koronation ceremony as 'strange"

Pooja is definitely a strange & superstitious ritual that should be abolished the same way Satee was abolished because widows would be forced to burn themselves on their dead husbands burning pyres.

India is a land of contrasts . You will find everything for every level of economic background. So we have markets especially for those that are super poor, separate markets for the middle class and for the riches a different one. But anyone can shop from anywhere. It's all so accessible.

The abysmal delusion. State of Inequality in India Report by GOI says anyone earning equal to Rs 25, 000 a month falls into the top 10% of Indian wage earners. INDIA DOESN'T HAVE A MIDDLE CLASS. Those Western models don't work for us. We are considered a poor country for a reason.
She is literally in the top 0.1% of India. If you think anyone who isn't Ambani isn't rich enough then that's your problem. Bhai tera baap 10 lakh mahina kamata hai aur tu khud ko middle class bole ja raha hai to ab kya hi bol rakte hai.

Title has "crazy-rich". This is not what comes into my mind when I hear or read "Crazy rich and Super-rich together". It's obvious when you read his comment, you thought "Bsdk tujhe kya lagta hai pura india rich hai, India toh poor hai, yahi privileged life hai yaha".
The team who made this documentary picked up the first few persons they saw for their interviews😂. I’ve done better research for my school projects.

Bcs Mumbai is expensive my home value in my area is like 30lakh but same home in Mumbai value is like 7-8cr
What is so strange in the ceremony. It is a auspicious ritual done before doing anything good.
The title says "crazy rich" and then they didn't even make it past Bandra to South Bombay. It's just the tip of the iceberg they've covered in this video.
Don't fall for the trap though: there's only 1 millionnaire out of every 1700 Indians, and 1 billionaire out of every 8 000 000 Indians : the truth is that the wealthy are incredibly few in India proportionally speaking.
don’t be afraid to dream… I started out with nothing and by God, I’ve still got most of it left
😂
Lol!

India is conservative ??well look at our history i don't think so we turned conservative when we were invaded by different powers. Probably the only country where ancient records of sexual power (kamasutra), Where mention of LGTBQ, and other forms of life. Our women were much modern and held high positions while the west still saw women as BaBy makers and etc.
That's why patriarchy took over cause modern women during ancient times were unsure about the real father of the new born. Don't forget paternity tests weren't there.
