If you earning higher doesn't mean you don't work hard. It means you have put in the hard work at the right age so that when you are older you don't have to do hard work. But it all depends on circumstances. People will be from poor backgrounds, without any direction where they lack realisation of what the future holds. In that case they may not get a chance to put in the work in the earlier years and which leads to hard work in the middle ages.
I am a 27-year-old guy currently working in Mumbai as a medical billing specialist for US healthcare. I earn around 50,000 rupees a month and live with my family of five. In contrast, my counterparts in the US earn 10 to 15 times more than me, even though they work fewer hours. In India, we work for minimal pay with very little work-life balance. It's extremely challenging and exhausting to survive here. I've had to put my dreams on hold just to make ends meet for my family.
@@sauravgupta3843While your argument is true. It is also due to exploitation by corporates and our sheepish mindset. I believe that the guy commenting here would be working overtime several times a month without getting overtime pay.
A few points. In western countries there’s usually not a single income dependency as there is in India. I live in the uk and my husband and I work full time to maintain a good standard of living. Also, the cost of living is higher and taxation is generally higher (depending on state in the US and virtually anywhere in Europe). When I was working for a firm with an office in india, I was a bit envious that although they got lower wages, they had drivers and domestic help. Even as a senior manager and in a dual income household I couldn’t afford luxuries like that. I have to work 9-5 and then make food for the family and do domestic chores with help from my husband. It isn’t equatable.
The guy in the blue shirt sums it up perfectly. If you are born wealthy, the world is your oyster. That is what we should all aim for. To make it better for the next generation, even if we can’t.
I'm an (east) Asian American who used to work for an India-based company several years ago. I knew that my counterparts in India were paid less, but I didn't realize it's probably like a 10:1 ratio. A local in Jaipur was kind enough to negotiate a tuktuk driver to be my personal driver for the day and the price was 900 rupees (around $13). The driver later invited me for dinner at his home, which was a small 3-room concrete structure that he shared with his wife and 7 children. No air conditioning despite being over 100 degrees F at night. It was so humbling/beautiful/sad all at the same time that he would open his home to me, a complete stranger, despite having basically nothing. Neither he, nor any of his family, ever attended school, and all were basically illiterate. I wish I could say his situation was an outlier, but from what I can tell, the vast majority of people I saw on the street appeared to be struggling. We take so much for granted here in the West!
You can't blame the govt for everything. Having 7 children also contribute to being poor. Govt gives enough family planning awareness it's people who need to change. People in expect govt to give everything free to them. There are lot of poor people who have two or max three children sacrifice to get their children educated and later their lives have improved.

She doesn't know anythingabout poor people , she is just assuming , poor people in big cities by struggling for almost 12 -15 hrs manage to make a average decent amount to save ( to buy a small home or marry their children) that excludes security and health management , education and medical expenses.
The number ( in USD) will tell you nothing. You have to consider the cost of living (rent, food, energy, health care, transportation, school fees, university) if you want to compare the income with other areas, countries. Some places are really terrible expensive.
Yes ! The average guy in tier 2 city can afford a duplex with same amount of a 2 bhk in a tier one city in india, and probably not even a shoebox apartment in New York . Some of these comments are so stupid
The biggest problems with our country is instead of learning from rich people we tend to blame them and get jealous for what they have and achieve in life.
See the majority of wealthy people in India owe it all to politics and corruptions. All the scams, bribe and black money laundered are diverted into real estates and legal businesses. This is the case for majority of ultra rich Indians. So it is kind of unfair for general public like you and me.
In India you are either well paid or just terribly underpaid. The quality of life in tier 2 cities is much better but the government has zero focus towards developing them to reduce the burden on metros. With the boom only the rich and middle class (upto some extent) will grow, the social divide will remain.
Good reply. I think if govt for a little bit changes its focus from developing tier 1 city to toward tier 2 or tier 3 alot of progress can be made. Their focus is more toward making better more better but what about the rest and I know certain industries like IT media can't be accepted to come to small states but apart from that if govt focuses on creating economic zones and you know providing small industries a chance to survive we can do better.
Obviously. The Corporate Head is the person taking the responsibility of running an Organization. If it fails, he'll lose everything, If he profits, he'll get the largest share. Lesser responsibility, Lesser Money. Simple.
That woman who said poor people just don’t want to hustle is partially true, one day my mum asked a woman beggar if she would like to work in our building as a cleaner and her reply was “If u wanna give me some money then give or else just go from here, I don’t wanna work for anyone”. They like to make the money through easy way, by begging. Since then I stopped giving money to any beggar.

Same here.A young lady without any physical disability came to beg with her children and my mother asked her if she could carry a baggage and she will pay her a good amount. She completely denied.I mean she can bring those children for begging but doing hardwork to feed them is not acceptable to her.Although it's inappropriate to expect elders and people with disabilities to work but young able ones can easily earn a bread by working instead of begging.
Young guy with no kids: you need at least 1 lakh to live without worrying in Mumbai. Banker Uncle (with 2 kids and a wife): you need a minimum of 20,000 to live in mumbai. Well, it's more related to how you can comfortably live and without making any non-useful expenses like partying, shopping, going out to expensive restaurants. If you can live a life with simple habits, you don't need a lakh to live but even if you earn less, it works fine!
Adjusting to low standards of living (aka just surviving) will never get a person anywhere is life. A person must ALWAYS dream big to make it big. One should never settle for 'just enough' and shouldn't adjust to 'simple living conditions'. We only get one life, and we should try to live it to the fullest
@@asmitaray5357 where did you get these thoughts from? Motivational posts? Dreaming big will take you from reality to illusion. Who said we have one life? We have 84Lakh lives. In tier 2 cities in India, I think ₹50,000 - ₹60,000 (600$ - 720$) per month is in the comfortable range for a family of 3 or 4. In tier 1 cities like Mumbai, it should be ₹70,000 - ₹80,000 (842$ - 962$) per month. Anything less than that and it's difficult to make much savings. Edit: Provided one owns a house.

"Once you win, you win more. Once you lose, you lose more." Bro was preaching the Matthew principle. If even well-educated engineers are earning an average salary, it's no surprise that India is suffering from such a significant brain drain. "I wish the government can focus on increasing people's income rather than reducing costs." This guy clearly has never taken a basic economics class. Jacking up wages will only cause the price of goods to skyrocket further, it's inflation 101: more money chasing fewer goods.
In India a lot of people are underpaid ( the less skilled once) and lot of them are overpaid( highly skilled once), definitely there is skill shortage and if a company wants to keep highly skilled people, they need to be paid based on international standards and therefore the focus should be in getting people to learn high income skills then only this income disparity will reduce. Because the demand and supply thing works on services too therefore highly skilled people keeps getting a raise whereas the less skilled once get less money. Money will be just distributed in a different pattern overall money will be the same.
@@Shr761actually in a sustainable non materialistic society such disparity will not araise in the first place. The resources will be balanced but it the wish of the people to attain power and control is the driving force for such gap.

I live in the UK. I knew a Indian software engineer who migrated to the UK and earning £59k. He was still complaining about things being expensive. Doesn't matter how much people have, they will always want more.
It's because UK is expensive. He is complaining because she bothered to migrate to be able to save better, yet the increased pay would mean nothing when cost of living in UK makes it just as difficult to save anything.
That's such a weird thing to say! A person who just moved to the UK from India is obviously going to find things expensive there. What is your problem lol Are you r tarded?
The girl in 6:05 has no idea of the real world. You think some people don’t want to work? A majority of them do. The problem is no one is going to give then the time of day to work due to their social status or the way they look.
Mumbai is the costliest place to live or own a property in india. It has land reclaimed from sea, so it is water on three sides and nowhere to expand. Add to that more people are pouring in the city and all of them needs roof over their heads, which makes it extremely expensive. Compare that with most other cities, land all around and can expand significantly.
Lol. Mumbai is cheapest place in india of anyone lives in slum. That's why every year lakhs people come. Bt they come to live in slums. In slums rent is 4-6k which lesser than tier 3 city of india. and u can divide that with 5-7 people with no tax, maintenance. And in 1rk flats it is 15k with bills, maintenance, taxes etc. And govn don't care about slums cuz 83% slum population is not even from Maharashtra and they don't have any voting rights. And businssmen want cheap labours so they also support slum mafias.
Its wrong to say how much people make in india by citing mumbai as an example! Mumbai is the most populated and expensive city in india and its not a representation of entire india. 6:26 This question applies to USA and UK as well..People always talk about India and ridicule India but just go and see the economic disparity in US and UK which is on another level and is a very big issue..
Hello, the economic disparity in the UK is not on another level. We have a very high minimum wage (about 11400 rupees an hour). This allows us to have a fantastic education system and social safety net. There is no such thing as people in the UK not going to a good school or university because they cannot afford it. Of course you will find people that are homeless etc but you will find almost all of them are in that situation because they have either mental health or addiction related issues, not because there were not enough jobs to go around or they couldn't access government help. Also no one has to worry about medical fees which means we have a very high life expectancy of 82 years compared with 72 of India so on average just being born in the UK adds 10 years to your life. The downside of the high minimum wage is that you have to be upper class rather than middle class to be able to comfortably afford house help like a chef/cleaner however I think this is something to be proud of as even the cleaners have good quality of life. You'll see most have an iPhone, a car and their children are in University
@@matgranger5061 for some stuff yes, for others no. For example petrol costs similar in both countries. An internal brand like a BMW car or an iPhone will cost the same. Also your net worth gives you power. For example if your life is similar but after 20years in India you pay off your mortgage and own a property worth £100,000 but in the UK you own a property worth £500,000 then you could choose to retire, sell your £500,000 property buy the £100,000 property in India and life a very comfortable life with the £400,000 remaining. Not to mention you will be getting a pension from the UK which will translate into a lot of purchasing power in India.

HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH !! Imagine a simple yet powerful piece of advice that can transform your understanding of money. It happened to me when my distant cousin shared an eye-opening insight passed down through his Great Grandfather. Rachit's grandfather told him : to lead a life of basic comfort and secure future, a monthly income equivalent to 10 grams of gold is essential. In 2023, this translates to about Rs 58,905. This seemingly magical number is, in fact, the key that unlocks the door to middle-class recognition today In other words, to meet your basic needs in a Tier 1 city, a monthly income of at least 60k is essential. If you find yourself earning less supporting a family, you're in the lower middle class bracket.
Well we got so many perspectives here from the video although not the whole of India is like MUMBAI if you get that Most Indians live in the semi-rural and sub-urban areas. People in the rural areas may earn less but live happily if they don't face any drastic calamity such as a deadly disease or loss of property, legal matter, etc. Great video though. Thanks Asian Boss
Writing in US dollar means nothing when you see cost of living in dollars. Here in 1dollar you can have full meal. In ~130 you can rent a room for a month. So people earning 5000 dollars per annum or above can live comfortably in Mumbai (not lavishly).

It’s due to overpopulation
What is medical billing?? Is there any good scope for that?
Medical billing specialist? Man I will be working as a hospital billing executive soon. You think is there any career scope for a billing executive?

We take so much for granted here in the West!
yes bro . Also population is the key factor for west. Less income means More GDP per capita.
You can't blame the govt for everything. Having 7 children also contribute to being poor. Govt gives enough family planning awareness it's people who need to change. By the way it will be interesting to watch what peoples from other major cities in India think on this same topic like from ( i think it will be too much for production crew 😅 ) Delhi , kolkata , chennai , Bangaluru , hydrabad , Lucknow , Amrtisar etc & make a mashup episode out of it .
Why do we use English in every field of India? *(Why do we need English)*
1) India is a *"multilingual"* country & we have a different language family's *(Indo-european, Dravidian, indo-iranian sino-tibetan, Tibeto-burman, Semitic, astro-asiatic Etc..)* & India has no _-national language-_ or any _-monolingual policy-_ the country of India is a *"union system'* and "all languages are respected equally"
2) Only English is recognized and used as the *"2nd administrative language"* in all states of India. (After their state's official language)
3) English is the only language used in all fields of India *(science, technology, research, education, medical, business, job field, information, space field, Navy, etc..)*
4) India is mostly dependent on *"foreign income"* & So we need English in the field of 'business' and 'workplace'
5) English is emerging as the future *"lingua franca"* of India and the World
6) English is *"indispensable"* today and giving more value to "English" after our "State language" is also good for our financial empowerment.
7) Yes there is a language problem in India! So English has grown and is growing as a language to solve that problem, This is the reality! It is better to accept reality. And at the same time all the languages of India should be respected equally.

The guy walking in the background is headed straight for the 14 injections 😆

Thanks for this sort of interview, most of indian youtube channel just interview big shot people who had family wealth and went overseas. most yotube channel fails to realize we want to hear a common man's story who is starting from zero cause we respect them most and can relate to their zero to hero financial status.
5:49 crazy thing to say💀
I feel people who have never been in abject poverty should not comment on poor people. How do you even know what being poor really feels like? I remember an experiment which done by two guys in which they lived below poverty line for two months and it was a revelation for them. If possible search for it and read it.
Nice.. good initiative.. liked the video
If someone from Mumbai can tell me the company which this gentleman is running: 2:07
I shall be thankful.
I am searching for a job in similar kind of companies in India. MOST of the Indian tech companies claiming to be AI/Data Science companies in India, are just fake companies, running by bootcamp company to support AI bootcamps in India.
I'd like to know as well
Take screenshot of his face and try reverse search, maybe you will able to find him

Everyone had thier own average salary estimate, too much deviation from 10k to 100k per month. This shows how much inequality there is in India.
Inequality is not bad thing . That is also the reason why India produces so many high skilled workers and entreprenuers . If they are won't be any inequality there won't be incentive for them to grow .
@@debanikgoswami4834 dumb argument
Biggest problem is people literally flocking to Mumbai from everywhere in india becuz our politicians are incapable of providing employment in other parts..
It was till 90s....now it's only demand-supply based migration for Mumbai because it doesn't have any space left. Only a fresher being placed in Mumbai or an experienced professional switching to here from other cities come.
@asian boss : You guys should make a video on Non-IT Engineers as well. While there is a hype about IT people Salaries, non-IT Engineers hardly get either good pay or good work-life balance. Although they are involved in multiple risky, hazardous and deadlier nation building projects.
PS : I don't mean to write anything bad about IT professionals, just wanted to come out people about the non-IT engineers' work-life balance, pay scale and all.
You think IT people got work life balance? I mesn it differs company to company on basis of their culture and higher management but IT definitely does not belong to domains which have better work life balance. Only a few companies respect their employees time and avoid this so called hustle culture.

Asian boss, I request you to do a street interview in BANGALORE, as it is the startup capital and it hub of the country,
Places u can go to= Church street, queen's road, Commercial street, MG Road
You can see a whole new India in BLR
I was going to call out NCR especially Noida, but then i realized there are hardly any people there who will give an interview😂

Great questions, really enjoyed, well done
Lady in Black seems to be so delusional. I met many hardworking people in Mumbai during my few days of stay, all coming from poverty. Their struggles are just different, "rich mindset" takes a backseat when there's no food on the table.
She spent her life in luxury so she doesn't know
I earn 70-80 k in mumbai..in this amount you can afford one BHK in navi mumbai and thane only.. its very costly to love in mumbai . But fortunately my husband is also earning well and we have decent accomodation in government quarters..
@@YouAreJel Minimum wages in UK are £11.44 per hour which is 1200 INR.
But, the average cost of living is also 5 times more than India.
@@matgranger5061 for some stuff yes, for others no. For example petrol costs similar in both countries. An internal brand like a BMW car or an iPhone will cost the same. If you ever dreamed about seeing more of the world flight tickets cost the same. Also even if you save only 10% of your salary, 10% of a £10,000 is £1000 saved. 10% of £100,000 is £10,000 saved.
12:20 the dog attacking was surprising
😂😂 man I always avoid dogs for this reason,
In country like India where animals are looked and treated as non living beings, no stray animals feel safe around them. If you look at the video again, the dog was chilling until that person suddenly running…the dog reacted as a defense mechanism.
@@phactsssssss you really don't know Indian dogs . They're so scary. I just avoid them.
All I can say is that INDIA has a long way to go
@@phactsssssss Typical nonsense. That dog wasn't attacking. That person got scared for no reason. India treats its animals much better. Those stray dogs would have been culled in most other places.
This videos is so good in terms of so many things , middle age uncle talking about middle class people , while kids talking about living comfortably around 1 lakhs .
I really enjoy this informative channel.
The Actor didi needs to realize that not everyone has the means to grow themselves out of poverty
Excellent video. Excellent concept. Need more of it. Keep it up!

Well we got so many perspectives here from the video although not the whole of India is like MUMBAI if you get that
Most Indians live in the semi-rural and sub-urban areas. People in the rural areas may earn less but live happily if they don't face any drastic calamity such as a deadly disease or loss of property, legal matter, etc.
Great video though.
Thanks Asian Boss
As per inflation, 15-20 lakh per annum must be target
For one person 1.2 lac or something
For family 4 lac per month
Wife +kid + husband
With the current inflation
1 lac i want
Writing in US dollar means nothing when you see cost of living in dollars. Here in 1dollar you can have full meal. In ~130 you can rent a room for a month. So people earning 5000 dollars per annum or above can live comfortably in Mumbai (not lavishly).
True
There wasn't any sense writing $ in parenthesis
Or even if they want to write it then atleast divide that no. By PPP
$ is to make foreigners understand not for you.. Your brain ain't braining
And you can't have a full meal for $1 everywhere in India it's what you eat that will cost accordingly
Living comfortably is subjective.. Not everyone lives comfortably with 30000-35000 a month... I earn 65000 a month but I want more I want to live better enjoy life better want better things in life and so on.. Btw I was shocked to find out that I am amongst the top 5% to 10% income bracket in the whole of India it's crazy.. But I don't consider myself rich I thought I was just living but after watching this video I feel like I am rich and also according to what you said. Wow India is really poor like foreigners think...
@@goodbetterbest8056the moto of this video is to live comfortably for a person. What you now expect is above what you need. Iiving comfortably means having quality means, with a place to rest and having decent clothes on. Even people earning 1LPM wants more to leave a better look life. There is no end to it. But if your needs are fulfilled from salary that's living comfortably.

I used to live in jaipur few years back for my rpsc exam preparations and my monthly expenses were around 8k/month. Now I'm posted lecturer at very rural rajasthan. I live in own home , still unmarried my salary to expenses ratio is around 15%. big cities are traps. For me 70k per month is way more sufficient than making 2lakh in cities like Mumbai or Bengaluru.
70k for bachelor in Mumbai/Delhi/Bangalore is actually sufficient.
The difference is on the rent and property price not on the day to day stuffs we use..
@@abhinavchauhan6863more than sufficient.. Like the guy in the video said he makes 50000 and runs a family.. People don't understand it's just the rent and the property price that differs...
