I work at a bar as the prep cook. The bar I work at is NOT a bar known for its food. But everybody who’s ever came in tell us our food is exceptional. I don’t get how people can mess up a burger...

I call them out over selling things past their expiration dates, and when they get deliveries they get reamed by the guys who bring the fresh grub in but they ignore them, and yet with me "You're here to start some trouble again?" And I'm like "If you stopped selling things past their expiration date, we wouldn't be having a problem."
If I saw him I would regret eating or drinking at that bar, cuz we all know it wouldn't be a good place but the show would be cool to see

After binge marathon watching Jon show I realise how nice is Gordon Ramsay really is
I think both Jon & Gordon are nice guys. It’s called tough love, knock you down to build you up. Some people need a wake up call to be shown that they are failing. Gordon has a heart of gold if you watch any of his stuff. He paid for this one guys tuition just because he saw the passion he had.

Is it just me? Or does Mr. Taffer never age? For all the years he's been relevant and had this show Bar Rescue. He looks EXACTLY the same
he ages, its in the hair and the lines around his eyes. if you watch like season 6 and on, he looks much older than in season one and 2, noticeably. still looks good for his age though, especially after years of yelling and screaming for days on end.

Pizza shop worker here. I'm incredibly concerned at how cold that pizza is if the guy can carry it over with his bare hands. I need a towel over my hands when I carry trays because they're actually hot.
It freaked me out too. My heart dropped to my stomach when I saw it.
I remember one episode they said pizza temp, and that it was THE ONLY THING they would actually eat in there. Cause its hot and stuff. And that was when the dude WENT INTO THE KITCHEN and made it himself.

This show is giving people a really bad impression about how long food should take. I can’t tell you how many times I hear people say “I’ve been waiting 10 minutes for my food” on this show. Unless you’re ordering a bowl of cereal... yeah. It might take 15mins or so.
Yeah thats a thing the show plays up. Most people will want to wait 20 minutes for meat rather than 10. Some stuff takes a long time to prepare and cook. Though, if your a bar you should stick to quick and easy to make food. Most drunk people will either go out to eat after the bar or go home to eat.
it's bar food. it's basically one up step from fast food. if there is no one in the place a burger should get to your table in 10 minutes.
@hissord You dont do presentation with bar food unless its high end, most bar food is meant to be easy to eat and messy. no forks or knives,
fair point for normal bars but these bars barely have anyone in them or ordering food even
Everything needs to be prepared beforehand. Not after someone takes an order. Cutting vegetables, prepering the meat, putting out the sauces etc..so yeah, you should wait no longer than 10-15 minutes. Especially if its bar food.
I've watched a lot of kitchen nightmares, and Ramsey can get pissed and yell and stuff, but just seeing the clip with the two Chiefs players, I would say Taffer gets into it even more than Ramsey.
I love this show. Jon really cares about helping people and getting their bar back. He might come off harsh but it’s only because he is so passionate about what he does.
Is the true definition of tough love, it’s the only way these people are going to learn!
The condiment stations getting warm is SO common. And it happens SO fast!!. Even when stuff is in insulated containers.
When I was working at Sbux we had a health inspection and got docked MASSIVE points because of the self topper. Our half and half was not cold enough. It wasn't in the red (danger danger), but it doesn't matter. Not just to inspectors but also to staff and customers. We took food safety VERY serious (in Cali) and as a manager I was devastated. Even if it wasn't enough to make someone ill. We replaced our creamers no less than hourly at the time. Rhe experience sud help us to make changes to avoid the situation ever happening and changed the protocols to completely replace the creamers no less then every 30 minutes. As well as moving the location of the topper bar and eventually added coolers.
Its insane to me that any other food industries establishment would not be focused on this
The ecolabs guys or health inspectors are usually assholes to begin with.

@@Fot113 Honestly not a bad plan. Depending on the bar and city/town you work in a bar is great place to start. Regardless of the position you want to work you could make great connections with people from all different types of businesses for when you are ready to move on. It's hard work so you generally get a decent work ethic if you want to thrive. The money could be good.

yeah I've worked as a getgo kitchen cook before, and some of my co-workers were like that. I always sanitized my food prep space, whether I had to jump on hot food line, or I was doing grab n go. On the real, I worked at a bar once where the owner told me if a patron ordered a drink and said "take a shot with me" we couldn't refuse or we'd get fired. I worked at another bar where if we had one drink behind the bar, and not on break, we got fired on the spot. As a veteran bartender DONT DRINK BEHIND THE BAR

When I first started working in a pub, our manager let us drink behind the bar. I didn’t know it was wrong until after I left. If someone had screamed at me I definitely would have cried too. Hopefully she learnt her lesson. It’s down to the managers to give clear rules about what happens behind the bar.
She’s passed away now unfortunately. Not long after the first airing of her episode
