Swapped probably 25 years ago... Runs the stock 016 locker 5spd AWD transmission. I think they used a Kennedy adapter plate.
I would have lost a lot of money on race one. That Audi got out of the hole so hard, driver nailed his shifts, and the top end was insane. Incredible car and owner.

He needs to get a kit put in that 01E transmission. The shift collars can be a problem, but as long as it's a wide first gear box it'll hold pretty serious power.
@@HioSSilver1999 no not really. There isn’t a Chevy motor that can just make 700 hp on 8 pounds of boost. And revs to 8200 and makes power all the way to it. The coyote is superior to an ls. Especially with its low displacement. 6.2 liter ls and a 5.0 coyote make the same power stock it’s quite crazy when you do the math.

Very nice match up! My daughters current build for her senior year project is a 2022 base model reg cab shortbed F150. She put a 7.3L Godzilla in there. Her original plan from 3rd grade till now was to get an older 5.0L v8 and drop it into a 55 pickup. Years passed and she wanted AC, and other creature comforts. And this is what shes rocking. For now shed built motor and trans, everything else for future boost. Shes got it apart for repainting, She decided to go with a toyota cav blue, with a maroon and bronze two tone interior. She is machining her own wheel caps, and emblems, a grill badge for her club, running big brakes up front, and dual big brakes out back, dunno why dual out back hahaha. A GT350r mustang steering wheel and shes not done making her dash from scratch. She wants integrated storage, etc. Shes going to be going titanium and carbon fiber route. She works at a friends aerospace mtn and mfr company clerical/front desk, so shes trying to find time to make stuff she needs. Shes also making new door panels and so on. Shes running dual japanese BRIDE seats, she will recover in a navy red two tone. Shes planning on using an ipad for the dash and to run rear cam. body has a lot of raptoresque stuff. Dont have an audi, but I have a Mini with a B18c5 swap from when I was younger haha. Working on a kia soul right now with a K28 crate motor, hoping to have a new ugly whip no one will want to steal, unlike my hondas haha

Zak is absolutely right. The TR6060 is the TRUTH!!! I run a Tick Performance TR6060 with a Bangshift Billy fully adjustable clutch and Pro-Stock style ratchet shifter behind the single turbo 3.4L VG30 in a 93 Z32 back-halfed with a narrowed 8.8 and it has never given us problems. Would have to regear the car for 1/4 mile but I'd love to get on This vs That but I doubt it'll ever happen.
@@racequad9 They are indeed. Tick Performance advised me that the 6060 would probably be better for my application as I turn quite a bit more RPM compared to alot of their customers who run V8's. Their car Grubworm is the stick shift record holder atm. Saw them a few years ago at World Cup and knew they could help because I was destroying the factory 5 speeds. Tunnel took quite a bit of cutting and massaging but it's been bulletproof since it went in June 2020. Has probably 250-300 passes on it plus I'd say 3000 miles of street driving tho now that it's a solid axle car it doesn't get out as much.

The Truck is auto, meaning it doesn't make a mistake shifting and its always in powerband. Ive seen 4 cylinder cars make dogwater of mustangs and corvettes with less displacement your point? We have 2l, drag cars here going 7.6s. I don't know about reliability. Not to mention is on 4 Slick, when the Audi is on 4 semis. And the weight could be actual advantage on this surface because it has more traction that way. And not it doesn't need 4 turbos to make the ford look slow. It needs ecu, twinT and build manual or autogearbox.

@@kylewillis439 The car was never made to be fast drag car. It was made to be unique build in a sense. The 4 turbos are only over-complicating the whole system. The displacement doesn't matter. The Truck is auto, meaning it doesn't make a mistake shifting and its always in powerband. Ive seen 4 cylinder cars make dogwater of mustangs and corvettes with less displacement your point? We have 2l, drag cars here going 7.6s. I don't know about reliability. Not to mention is on 4 Slick, when the Audi is on 4 semis. And the weight could be actual advantage on this surface because it has more traction that way. And not it doesn't need 4 turbos to make the ford look slow. It needs ecu, twinT and build manual or autogearbox.

It's an 01E transmission, probably just the shift collars. Gears are probably fine.
