    Just got my CNC about a month ago. Love it. But I am having troubles with the design Endor things.until now that is.i thought easel was a very limited program.again I’m wrong thanks for opening my eyes to the possibility of this. I’m excited for shop time tomorrow ty

      Thank you and I'm very glad you are learning how to use your CNC. Easel is an excellent beginning program. It is very capable of doing many things. I believe that you will at some point out grow Easel and will want to move up to other software. It's a great journey. Thanks for coming along with me.

    I carved with my 3018 pro but I am just not happy with the depth of the carve and would like to know where exactly I change the depth of final depth and keep up the great work I will get a cnc like yours one day

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 роки тому

      If you are using Easel, just highlight the area and the drop down menu will appear. Select the cut and set the depth.

      You nailed it Paw Paw!!!!! I’m going to do a third try but this time with the proper depth

    I like the idea of moving the x y axis to the center of work piece and 0,0 on the xcarve. Is it ore accurate that way or just wondering what you're thoughts are on it? Sorry this is probably covered in detail in a different video. I'll try to find out. Much appreciated. Really liking your channel and approach to teaching. It's effective.

      I use the center point of the material and the project which means I know that it is centered. I'll use the bottom left corner on projects where being perfectly centered does not matter.

    Hi. Thank you for all of your info. Any tips on where to buy bits. I’ve been using a dremel bit and it’s ok but I’m ready for some good bits now. Thank you.

    Am I looking at this right? In just under two years you went from 300 to 48,000 subscribers? I mean I know you are good but damn that’s impressive

      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому

      Yes, that is correct. Thank you very much. Hopefully, you have subscribed also and that will be 48001. Thank you very much. As you can see I am posting videos on numerous topics, all of which are centered around wood working.

    Why would my 3018 pro cnc skip half of a design I am bafflEd because it carved awesome until it got to the last third of design ugh

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 роки тому +1

      Without seeing the problem it is hard to say. It is either in the design software side or a mechanical issue. It could be as simple as the bit is too large and could not cut into that area.

      I understand and I am going over the same design I have done perfectly I describe it this way...picture a flower with smaller flowers at each corner of the big one but my machine hovers over the surface but never lowers but only on the two small corner flowers... I think I am messing up a setting and I can’t figure it out... merry Christmas and happy new year soon and I wish I could send you a picture because you would be shaking your head saying that ain’t right

    can you do some more step by step videos im just learning how to use easel

  • @brianconley1732

    I tried to use easel but it would not let me but I thought they gave 4 free days or is that for paid subscribers?? And the most confusing thing is the point where you put in work area because in one corner there is a shadow box and arrows that go from the top right corner of the shaded square to the corner of the table I am confused

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 роки тому

      If you opened you account after July 21, 2020 you do not get the four free days. You have a 30 day trial period and then you can use the basic Easel or pay for the Pro version.

      Thanks and from what I have seen that should be easy to understand are scrambling my brains...you have helped me a lot and I thank you... I just don’t want to set it up wrong for a carve and end up ruining my work surface and I will be getting Pro easel on payday and your videos are going to help me do this right and not break anything... take care and stay safe

    can you use Easel on the Shapeoko?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  5 років тому

      The short answer is yes. You may experience some problems and the two companies have not tested it. If you try it, please share your results.
