    You Go to great detail. Another thing you can do with the edit points is move them around, tell Easel to blend them in the group either by curve or straight lines. You could have sharpened the larger stars by deleting excess internal corner points & moving the external points to a single dot.

    Another good informative video. I like how the guys who know will chime in with a little more. I for one when in the edit nodes mode for extra small detail like stars, increase the the size of the project do the editing then put it back to the carve size when finished makes it a lot easier for old eyes to put things where they need to go.

      Thank you very much. I actually thought I demonstrated zooming in to edit the nodes and doing exactly what you said.

      Paw Paw’s WorkShop yes you did. What I was referring to was if the project is a 6” project make it 12-14 inches while editing,, if 12” make it 24” . Anyway you get the idea. Kinda the same as zooming in. Just the way I do it. Keep up videos they’re great info.

    Yes, thank you Paw, I'm trying to do replica of small frank Lloyd wright tiesan lamp. I found stl, dsx or dsf files to open in fusion 360. Would love to know how to export from fusion to xcarve. I know inventables has a UA-cam for fusion and export to easel. But fusion is out of my league just beginning. Not sure if you have experience with it. Much appreciated for your upcoming videos and it helps people when they need it. Another project I was thinking was little to medium size pantry boxes , like lidded or not. Just simple boxes for organizing pantry.

      I am no expert in fusion at all however, are you are able to generate gcode in fusion?

    • @mmmmmmm8706
      @mmmmmmm8706 4 роки тому

      Paw Paw’s WorkShop , yes, its a bit involved, but even easel was scary for me at first and still is sometimes. Heres inventables quick tutorial, u generate the toolpath (gcode i think) in fusion in few steps, export it and import in easel online. ua-cam.com/video/DFwXdnKzg2I/v-deo.html

    When using the star generator, there is no need to create a star shape first. Go to the generator, and set your size, then click import.

    Is there a way to edit the points on the standard text in easel? I have some areas that are not carving and I only have the v-bits that came with the machine. Thank you for all your videos! And yes, the outside world is horrible currently

    Trying to figure out how to make circle lines thinner but can’t find in easel where to do it

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  2 роки тому

      In easel when you draw a circle you are creating a path, therefore, you can carve on the outside, on path, inside and of course you can create a pocket. The line thickness is defined by the bit that you are using. If you wish to make the line wider then use the offset app and there you can define the width of the line.

    How do you make the 2 circles that are in the Marines sign in Easel ?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  3 роки тому +2

      Make a circle. Then make a second circle at zero depth. Center the two circles and combine. The second circle is smaller and establishes the thickness of the outer ring.

    New Sub great vids , is this the pro version ? How do you like the easel software in general ?

    • @PawPawsWorkShop
      @PawPawsWorkShop  4 роки тому

      Easel and Easel Pro are basically the same. The only difference is that the Pro version offers v bit for vcarving and extra fonts. You also get four free days of the Pro version each month. I plan my carves so that I never exceed my four free days.

    Would love to know if easel has “snap to” capabilities and if so, how to use it...it kills me trying to move stuff just a little bit. Thanks!

      Easel basic is always free. You will have to pay for Easel Pro. People with old accounts will get four free days per month. I can’t remember when that changes but I think it’s been at least a couple of years.
