- The Khalid in War Thunder is a British Premium Tank used by Jordan. What is essentially a Chieftain with the power plant from a Challenger 2 it's really fast for a Chieftain!
With a very good APFSDS round, great gun handling, speed and mobility this one really took me by surprise. It's actually a great tank and I'd definitely recommend it.
The tech tree Chieftain's are generally half the horse power at only 600 which can make them slow and cumbersome, often difficult to use. But the Khalid is excellent giving great speed in both forwards and reverse.
Mobility in War Thunder is key and this definitely has that!

The only reason I ended up loving it was when it got its apfsds, and it's super fun to play. It's front hull can surprisingly bounce shells at angles.
I recommend you try the T-28 at 1.7 with the shrapnel shell(only 31 mils of pen) luckily it no longer faces the M4a3(105)
152th try please play the T-80 light tank or the T-28e both at 2.3 br. For the 152th special please also play ISU 152 with BR-540B 1.1kg TNT APHE.
Odd how can I get better at this game I have about 1000 hours collectively (I lost my 1st acc). Im just OK at low tier but I’m utter garbage at anything over 4.7. I know the basics of most noob videos like angling and whatnot but I can’t keep playing this badly I have no silver lions. Would like an intermediate video of some sort be possible?
@@andrewmeacham7293 Do you rush? play slowly and think of where the enemies will go. Be aware of the mini map, kill feed and your souroundings(checking corners, flanks and blindspots). Slowly find a good position that suits your tank or playstyle. No need to rush, a wt game has 25 minutes which is plenty of time and no need to be impatient. Everytime you urge to rush, think about how much better you will do if you are just a bit more cautious.
The Khalid went from hated to loved just by giving it a round that wasn't sabot lol

Even after the nerf it still one shots so easily. Especailly given the usual russian T55 AM1 spam the ability to hit it anywhere from any range and kill it is.... honestly what id like a lot more than some point and click dart.
I would love to see you do a more advice oriented video. I love seeing you dominate the map but explaining why you go where you do and some of the strategy behind it would be incredibly helpful! Thanks for the awesome content!
Yes. As an Air RB main who likes to jump into Ground every once in a while, I really have no idea what I'm doing.
i wanna say the main thing he does is flank, enemys cant shoot what that cant see aswell as armour is less of a problem
Flank and don’t rush people don’t be out in the open
I'm not the biggest fan of british tanks, but the cheftain/conqueror tanks look so damn good, honestly some of the best looking tanks in existance
This thing is a marked improvement over the regular Chieftain, now that it doesn't have the Leyland L60 in it

I'm actually enjoying the Brittish 10.0 combo Challenger DS and G-Lynx. Throwing in one of the several 8.0-8.3 SPAAs for now and its a fun lineup.
It's nice to add the chally MK3, Vickers Mk7 and Stormer since 10.3 see a lot of downtiers now.

Honestly I would like to see the AMX-30 super get a better shell. Like a DM-33 equivalent would make it a lot better in my book.
Those Rooikats and VRCCs are both menaces when used right. Also, when the sale started I bought the XM-1 and put in a bunch (like 15) of back ups on it, til I got the XM803 and MBT70, to grind up and got down tiered almost all the time, now it’s all T72-Turms and Challenger DS. 🙃

That BmP popped into view at 5:50 ish is what us console players have issues with. I know the video is 6 months old but it's still a thing. Tanks don't render in until they shoot sometimes

Speaking of the rooikat being played poorly, this is why I wish for a tutorial series like you mentioned in a community post. I don't play it but I can see myself playing really passive, im just scared of pushing everything so i just hide a bit on our side behind buildings haha
I kind of played like that, but then I have learnt how to listen to enemy engines and now dont have problem pushing, except on big plain maps but there noone pushes really, I usually have a few favourites routes i take on different maps and just play more aggressive since then
i saw another youtube mention that with premiums they should have 1 free backup each game, would make sence making the games last longer for players
I recently bought the Challenger DS because why not so hopefully it helps me with grinding to the top tanks in Britain!
I was just checking this thing out as a investment to grind GB in the future, I don’t have too much interest in their WW2 lineups due to lack of APHE but the challengers do look decent to play and don’t see too often, but n my case atleast.
i call it the "Dragstrip" as it has the best acceleration of any tank at that BR as far as i can tell with the ones i have lol.

Hey, I love the daily uploads! It is one of the highlights of my day! You should check out the AMX 13-90. I just unlocked it today to round out my French 7.3 and I got my first nuke in my first game with it and got the drop off. I haven’t seen any videos on it and I think you’d enjoy it with 320mm HEAT and a 5 second reload.
I hear bombs go off behind. Granted I'm on a 1500w surround sound that on 30% volume nearly breaks my windows. Everyone in the valley hears bombs go off behind lol. Immersion!

I passed this thing up when it was first released because I thought it was just an overtiered Chieftain. Now it has APFSDS and that makes all the difference.
No,...it doesn't. It is a 8.3 tank that is over tiered. Its fast, best used as a scout with a decent but low level round. I see 8.7 tanks sit and laugh with obliterating this thing.
Man i love you but that spawn camping is what kills wt for me I do everything I can to be useful to my team I’ll try to take the positions and kill players as I go but I see a lot of people just driving right to the spawn and if you slow your just screwed but ig it is what it is but kee up the good videos man I just got this tank so happy to see someone play it

I take umbrage with one thing about this being claimed as 'better' than the MK10: the mk10 has different turret materials, so despite it appearing to have about the same thickness it's actually shockingly durable coimpared to the mk5. If you can use it in it's intended role (ha, good luck with all the knife-fighting maps) and plonk it hull down the mk10 is an absolute nightmare.

No idea why Gaijin insist on British tanks having awful gun elevation/deppresion compared too irl but hey, this is Gaijin after all.
Pretty much all western tanks. Soviet crap is still sitting on 5 deg/s elevation speed and 25 deg/s turret rotation even with their most modern tanks irl lol. Gaijin can't buff soviet stuff too hard so they nerf everything else

Hunter probably is not great for GRB so you have to do with the Scimitar or Venom or 8.0 Meteor.

Gaijin can't seem to get audio right. If there are many tanks around you. only a few of them make any noise. Because of that, if you have a speedy tank, you can flank huge groups of enemies early game when they are still grouped up. Even the gun doesn't make noise.
