I still remember my friend who started at the same time but with Germany telling me how am I struggling so much while we were playing 5.3-6.7. He just couldn't understand that some nations dont have high pen APHE that instakills most tanks and that your tank surviving more than one shell is a rarity.

Yeah as a proud owner of the challenger 3 I can say that it’s probably my favourite top tier tank due to the amazing gun and the rather quick acceleration and reverse. The only thing that bugs me is the lack of blowout panels but I think that’s something they’ll fix as I read an MOD article that stated that chally 3 has them
And all that with basically worse Leopard 2A6(better optics though)
Honestly the Chally 3 acceleration feels better than most leo’s, I guess it’s because it gets 1500hp at a much lower RPM and more torque. 60mph Top speed is a shame tho

No BOP since this is a tech demo from the LEP by Rheinmetall. It was just the rear ammo shelf of the regular CR2 modified to store the longer one stage shells iirc.
The in game "Challenger 3" isn't a challenger 3, it is a Challenger 2 made for the LEP program i.e. the Black Night was also made for the LEP program.
Hence this "Chally 3" won't receive blowout panels as it is just a Chally 2 with a different gun and and a few other changes, this is also the reason why it went from the Challenger 3s weight of 66 tons down to 62.5 which is the same as Chally 2s.
3:54 no, its NOT the player's fault. Starstreaks phasing through planes even with a great ping has nothing to do with teapaches using it on ground targets. Infact that shitty change did nothing but make it be completely useless against planes (the thing it was meant to shot down), it's AT Capability is still the same. Infact they even buffed it by making the darts be able to overpressure once it penetrates.
This is just gaijin fucking up starstreaks with their spaghetti code like usual.
I only use the AH1 starstreaks for ground targets because of this. They really do hate the british tech tree.
I have a bug report out on this and a Gaijin employee has confirmed that this is an issue that they are looking into. Starstreaks phasing through moving targets is a bug, plain and simple.
It's a real shame, because I loved the Stormer when it wasn't horribly broken.

In general it is down to play style and brain activity. If you adapt to the vechile you usually don’t have any issues. I’ve been playing the CV90120 for a while and it is a beast if you play it right. Same with the Challenger.
The cv90120 is actually good, the older challengers are not (the 2e and 3 are good)
All Chally 2s now have their proper Spall Liner which makes them EXTREMELY formidable at top tier and Chally DSs are less sought after than others while being just as competitive. Think of that for a while, you can have 3-4 extremely survivable tanks at top tier while having 2 good AAs, a great CAS lineup and decent cannons. Add to it that the UK tree is very filtering due to the solid shot and sabot hardships you need to face while climbing.
Wait, the challys got small liners? Also would hat really save them from having ammo scattered all over the hull
@@sharkk127 I'm 4 weeks late but yeah they do, much less than Leopards though and it's in an arguably less useful area where it does have it, better than nothing though considering how strong spall liner is

Britain has been, amazing as of right now - out of my three top tier nations I play right now, I'm primarily playing Britain. Might be a bit down to the fact I'm currently grinding the ADATS but, the Challengers are amazing vehicles in the right hands, and the right map. Good Challenger players, when I see them on my team are terrifying.
Rigth, for me its like i kinda dislike the challanger 2, But oh man im doing so good in them. Usaly placed in the top 3 with 5-10 kills. I have no idea why im doing so much better in them than the rest, could be to the slower nature. Not getting me in bad situations as often. And when it comes to being tanky. They do some times survive A LOT more than one would think. Then again other times your one shotet by shots you would think you would survie. Now if there would only be an top tiere ligth tank then i would be happy with the brits.
I swear it’s like every time I do something in WT you cover it. I just started grinding Britain and got the chieftain mk.10. Wondering why I’ve never visited this tree, the thing is a beast.

The chally engine sound is awsome now. The one true best engine sound for a tank irl is the leo 1 hand down, no contest. Owned by the leo1. Inside the tank or when 3rd person zoomed it wt has the sound 100% correct yet 3rd person unzoomed its not the same.

I'm an unapologetic britain main and almost have the Black night, and I gotta say, I have never experienced a downtier in any 11.3 Challengers, and regularly curse my choice of nation oh so many years ago, but this gives me a little hope that there's something worth grinding for at the end of the tunnel, even if I think it's an absurd idea for an actual tank
Britain will get some major buffs in the near future. They’ll become one of the top three nations again, like they was oh so many years ago.
i love how the challenger known to be slower due to its weight but has great armour hull down but can be penned through its cheeks and its ufp XD

I picked up the OES last week (I already had Japan and France done, and I was up to Vickers mk.7 (love that tank btw)) and I'm enjoying it a lot. Challys are super fun, I especially enjoy surviving getting shot at, unlike Type 10 and Leclerc (less often). Though don't get me wrong, Type 10/TKX are love, the firepower on those gocarts is pure insanity, and the hydropneumatic suspension helps so much, I can take up spots no other tank can and nobody expects me pop up in most insane spots lol.
leclercs are suprisingly tanky from my own experience. hoping they get some love in the future.. at least a better round
@@classicmac8986 yeah better round and IMO 6s reload is kinda arbitrary, since I've read couple comments already that IRL it's faster. (Type 10 supposedly can also do emergency 2s reload, but that's not implemented in any way in the game).
I think the za35 would work well in too tier alongside the black night. It’s got the speed and damage to at least contribute for both ground offense and air defence. Also the black night would look amazing with some forest/ rural camos 😄
DM53 probably feels so much better on the 3TD than the Leos because your so done with L27 on the chally 2s.
I like bringing out the BK after my first death to protect me from the Heli spam.

Challenger tanks are just underrated ad and I feel there armour is really good and not to mention on how good challenger player’s usually are

The gun sight you have on the Chally 2E is good for the other Chally 2s like the O, T, and F. I think from the same mod is a sight that is a dot with a larger circle around it. That one I use for the E and 3

I am playing at BR 8.7 as Russia in ground rb, and Britain usually performs a lot better than us.

Easily my favorite 10.3 lineup is Britain’s. Two challies, one with a great shell the vickers and the TTD. It’s such a powerful combo, too bad leopards don’t spall though.

Im a british main, and i may not be at top tier, but ive had a nice streak of wins at 8.3
British challenger MBTs are support tanks ...made to siege and hold the line so I think they are learning curve as you pick your engagements and knowledge of weak points
They can deal with some enemy armour, keep up with mechanised infantry and have a gun specifically for soft targets. They should be reclassified as infantry tanks by the BAF lol
In war thunder that’s every tank in top tier though except maybe the t-90m because spall liners and BS era let it kinda play like a brawler but realistically most tanks at top tier die if they get hit and want to play slow and careful

The truth for the matter regarding Italian top tier is that there's only one vehicle the Ariete. Another big issue in regards to it is most people don't pull it out unless they are almost certain that the game can be won. Being an avid Italian main I would rather use the 120 first, Freccia, second, Heli, and AV-8B before even thinking about pulling out the Ariete. Don't get me wrong I have about 50 battles in it which accounts for 1/10th of the total battles that equate in the 77%WR, but I only have around a 60%WR in it. The better option to look at for Italian top tier would be the Centauro 120 it shows a more realistic standpoint in regards to actual WR. Over 360 battles and a 66%WR in it is still around the actual standpoint for Italy.
If you really want to get into the nitty gritty portion the M1A2 SEP has nearly 10k battles with a 37%WR the T-80BVM has almost 30k battles with a 47%WR, and before we get onto Sweden, and Germany remember we're basing the Italians off of one vehicle so lets do the 2A7V and 122B+. The current standing for the 2A7V is 89.27%WR with 300 battles, the 122B+ is at 83.72 with 160 battles. If that doesn't scream double standards than I don't know what does.

Minor nations probably have higher win rates because they consist mostly of veterans who grinded their way up. US and USSR, you can literally pay your way into top tiers, especially US with so many Abrams.

I think one of the main things which Gaijin misses in balancing is the nations which new players tend to play. Britain suffers precisely because very few new players grind the british tree as their first. The overwhelming majority of people grind one of the big three as their first top tier nations. After they've finished one, they're likely to begin grinding one of the other big three and only THEN do they move to a smaller nation like Japan/Italy/Britain etc. This means that by the time most players play top tier Britain, they'll be exponentially better players with greater map knowledge, sitatuional awareness and vehicle knowledge than they did when they were playing their first top-tier nation. As a result this artificially inflates the winrates of nations such as Britain and Japan. I've got 1000+ hours and mainly play British, Swedish and German vehicles. Playing Britain the last few years as my main nation was some serious difficulty curve.

I can't stand using the default sights at top tier, or anything with long zoom. The horizontal lines cover the sight picture, it's awful! Best ones I've found are "SEMI-REALISTIC LEOPARD 2 SIGHT" by Rastmust

prem challies players have been getting better, basically all chally including the prem version gets spall liner now but for ussr i dunno but win rates for me are slowly creeping back up

I think one of if not the main reason for Russia's winrate suffering is just that the Russian mains don't know what they're doing. I mean, if I can go to an 11.0 battle against Russia with nothing but an M18 hellcat and get 6 kills within one (1) minute before anyone even sees me, something has gone seriously amiss.
that M247 damage model is totaly f* up, somehow tanks a lot of damage and the crew and ammo gets unaffected sometimes

The icon indicating the direction of enemy fire no longer appears for me in tank battles for some time now
I'm shot by an enemy tank, but the indicator doesn't show me where it came from
If anyone knows how to fix this I would appreciate it
I have always played fighters and almost never tanks and this indicator is necessary
NOTE: When I log into another friend's account, for example on my PC, the indicator works normally.
Chieftain mk10 is my fav
I like the mk10 but I don’t like its BR because I hate being up tiered into 10.0 and facing Russia and US lineups especially Russia with its broken 10.0 nightmare fuel. I prefer to stay at 8.7 most of the time as the lineup there is beyond cracked and is really fun

Yeah, Britain has been great lately even with the presence of the 2 OES which is surprising cus US with the Clickbait has been so messed up but I guess it has to do with the fact not many like the OES as much as they do the Clickbait but I like it, though now with the event Britain has been struggling a little bit.
Britain is still hella nerfed around top tier, with all the nerfs the challenger 2s have and the challenger 3 too. Also, still no high tier IFVs like the multiple warrior variants or hell, even the AJAX.

I absolutely despise playing the challengers, not because I believe they are bad. But because the massive forehead that eats darts from anything, pumas included. And the breech shots that always get your gun. Its the most frustrating tank for me to play because of that. Also they are insanely slow for mbts. With the obvious exceptions being the 2e and 3td
I actually like the speed of the challenger 2s (except the TES, god that thing is awful) because they force you to play more carefully. You can’t just hold W, yk? But yea that turret armour is ridiculous and inaccurate to reality. Multiple bug reports on it, but still nothing.

@@JustinPlaysTV Just like you said in the video, I have very recently used the starstreaks on the AH.Mk1 and they have worked flawlessly on helis and aircraft. I know from experience that they are really prone to ghosting through aircraft and get eaten by aircraft like the su-25 but have worked quite well for me atleast.

Yeah US teams are SOOOO bad at top tier. I just had a match in the AGS where I went 9-1 against Leo2A7V and T90M and only one person had more than one kill on my team. Match lasted 6 minutes.
As soon as the other nations recieved a proper tank and Russian mains can't just press W and bounce everything their brain explodes and russian win rate goes down. funny
Or the more logical answer is players experienced players moved to the new meta tech tree or in this case meta tech tree(s)

Wow, Gaijin really loves aircraft players aren't them. I hope there's real life explanation why those missiles did not proxied a heli 1 meter away from it, that's infuriating to see. First Gaijin dont model aircraft control panels so that when they get shot down, pilots can still control the plane and have a good chance to get revenge on the spaa (Ka-50's can still destroy half of my team after getting "destroyed"), next more spaa nerf, then that dumbass missile physics that I doubt works the same in real life now all spaa missiles "slows down and catches their breath" while chasing aircrafts, now spaa missiles not proxying hiding helis within their detection zone. Aircrafts are uncontested right now and there's no counterplay against them, what a truly point and click adventure. But what can anyone do, aircrafts are Gaijin's top selling stuff and theres almost no premium spaa.
The italian players and british players are the best of the best and japan.
Britain suffers less because Brit players have been the underdogs for so long that they learned how to play, we can say that the average british player is better than the average russian. I say this myself as I main Britain and I see myself in the top of 90% of matches.

Gonna be real, haven't had problems with the challengers ever. People said the abrams was great and yet abrams for me have always been the easiest to kill. Their players suck. Brit players are used to having a short stick so got better. Look at italy versus US win rates. Italy knows they suck yet have a great win rate with the shittiest mbt. CR3 didn't improve over the CR2 as somone who has been playing challengers since they were added. It plays exactly the same
