This song is so powerful, and the entire country of Australia knows it which makes it that more special. Plus with the indigenous lyrics too, wow. I'm a proud Aussie 🇦🇺
What I found the best about this entire song was that Brian was only there to play. It shows his character that he was there to play with Farnsy and co. and that he didn't want the spotlight focused on him, especially when the firies came on. Brian is a worldly treasure and must be kept for all people to have a high standard of what it is to be a good, humble man.
Now that Olivia Newton-John is no longer with us we have had the privilege to see these legends perform together.Mitch Tambo perform the 2nd verse in his native language and the volunteer firefighters on stage. RIP Liv and thank you for the memories 🙏
Mouth cancer, I believe? A few months ago his family, and Gaynor Wheatley, said his vocal cords are unaffected and that he's singing round the house. E❤
What an absolute privileged for Brian May to sing with John Farnham. Brian is one of the greatest guitarists, and he is blessed to be with one of the greatest voices Australia has.
I was there, sitting in the audience, totally amazed by what I was witnessing: the whole stadium was standing, dancing and singing as ONE. ❤ It doesn't fully show on the cameras. It was unbelievably intense with good vibes, energy and emotions. A wonderful way of ending this exceptional concert, paying tribute to the firefighters, volunteers and communities' unity and resilience to fight the bushfires. ❤🌱
One of the reasons why we don't have a successful revolution now is because we don't have songs like this anymore. The stratospheric original of John Farnham is impossible to touch, God himself created Brian May with his arm and leg 😜 and what you get now is autotuned gibber jabber in the name of music with a dozen moving their bottoms as if the Baboons got a bunch of flies sitting on their butts. This world is doomed!
John Farnham + Brian May + ONJ ❤ Farnsey is still The Voice at 70 years old!! 'You're The Voice' is our true national anthem. What an awesome way to honour our firies! 🇦🇺
John Farnham is one of those very rare singers that can, despite their age, still belt out a tune and makes it sound as good as when it was first released. Together with one of the best guitarists on the planet, make this such a great moment.
A real treasure - this is fabulous! Right after this concert, Queen & Adam came to New Zealand and I saw them in Wellington. I wish that John Farnham had come with them!🤩
It's devastating to think this is probably John's final televised performance, but uplifting that it was his most iconic song and that Olivia was sharing the stage with him
Yep, and doing it for charity to help out other Australians, which he was always so generous with. Couldn't ask for a better last performance imo. We love you John.
When Firefighters enter to the stage, makes me cry, these Great Heroes risk their life to save people, save animals and save our planet. GOD BLESS THEM ALL OF THEM.
I cried so hard when this happened and in person the energy was something I'll never be able to explain how my heart felt at that moment and the lyrics of the song matched so well

I worked 10 yrs at Adelaide Entertainment Centre, working at concerts such as Foo Fighters, Eagles, Pink, Beyonce etc. John Farnham's shows were always some of the best. I've been following this song since I was little in its original version, and all the decades in a row in which John Farnham brought us the message again in the most important moments of our current history... I hope there's still time for him to come to my country, Brazil, sing in the name of a great campaign to protect indigenous people in the Amazon forest, and even for the forest itself... 🙁🇧🇷 please. Amazing go John singing in their language I take my hat off too you what incredible REPECT for them all . This is what being Australian 🇦🇺. Is all about helping each other no mater where you come because we are all are equal in Australia 🇦🇺
Agree. He literally is "the voice". From 1986 till present time he`s been singing the song in the exact same key and still delivers magnificantly. Beautifull energy throughout the years. I wish more people took the lyrics literally. You have a great 2022!
This was, next to Queen + Adam Lambert's set, the greatest moment of the night. Farnsey is always acknowledged as The Voice, the greatest singer Australia has ever produced. So we were already excited. And we knew what song he would finish with, so we were even more excited. And then when that shot of Brian May flashed up on the screen, we all went into overdrive. John Farnham doing You're the Voice with Brian May?! It was too much! We were screaming. People were having freakouts. OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! THEY'RE DOING IT OH MY GOD! the guys next to me were screaming. And this moment was so cathartic, so...in that moment, I swear I found a new plane of existence. Nothing hurt. Pain didn't exist here. I wasn't tired anymore. It was magic.
What a stage full of legends...... John farnham, Brian may, mitch tambo, Olivia Newton John, and the people of the Australian fire services. and such an iconic song.

Everyone on this stage is a legend in my eyes. Giving their time and talent to such an important cause. Yet the sheer class of John shines through as he makes the effort to welcome each person as they join in. He recognises everyone, from the gesture that he makes towards Mitch as he takes the lead and the smile that he gives him once he’s finished, to rocking out with Brian, waving at a member of the crowd, kissing Liv when she comes out and pointing to the firies when they file in at the end. He connects with everyone. All while signalling to the band and of course singing the song! A born performer, true and lasting talent and most importantly a brilliant human being!
When most famous songwriters hear another translate their song and release it they take legal action to either stop the release or receive royalties for any profit made but when John heard the full Mitch Tambo version he not only gave him his blessing he made a collaboration which has brought us closer as a nation, When you hear the story of Johns wife driving to the record studio hoping they would like his album Whispering Jack he had mortgaged he’s house he was in the fetul position on passenger floor if they say no he is bankrupt & homeless even though he’s famous, He’s a National icon only just starting to get recognised globally for he’s brilliant voice which is unmatched and when he was young it was effortless he never struggled and could go from 0-60 instantly!
Not just this song. He also did Age of Reason, Two Strong Hearts and Pressure Down in his set and I swear it was note-for-note to the album versions. He was AMAZING.
SPECTACULAR! Credits: Indigenous artist Mitch Tambo sung the second verse in Gamilaraay, the didgeridoo was played by Allan McKenzie, and they were joined on stage by a group of volunteer firefighters.

It really take a lot of self decipline to be able to have that kind of voice at that stage of his life. He is truely a legend and he just got even better!
I always try to remember to re-watch this whenever I am on You Tube. I have never mentioned how much I admire Mitch Tambo for his performance and how he kept going despite having mic issues when he first started singing in Aboriginal.

John Farnham is to this day still THE BEST live show I have seen. It was June 25th 1991 in Utrecht Vredenburg Netherlands. Front row during the Chainreaction tour. Was blown away and had soo much fun, will never forget this! Is and will be treasured music memory ❤
It really take a lot of self decipline to be able to have that kind of voice at that stage of his life. He is truely a legend and he just got even better!
Wow... His voice has,not aged at all. What an appreciation and respect to the firefighters given. They deserve every moment of it!
Olivia gone and John very sick, bloody hell such a shame but their legacy will live on. God bless you both.
I always try to remember to re-watch this whenever I am on You Tube. I have never mentioned how much I admire Mitch Tambo for his performance and how he kept going despite having mic issues when he first started singing in Aboriginal.
HOW can he still sing like that?! Amazing voice
Queen is the best
yeah
*_INCREDIBLE!!!! John Farnham's voice is still as badass as ever._*
Brian still ROCKS IT
Just when you thought this song couldn't get any better!!! Amazing aboriginal performers and Brian May.!!!!
Crying as I watch beautiful Olivia sing with John. So sad & devastated for Chloe but Olivia is no longer in pain.
Never thought I’d see Olivia NJ and Brian May together on the same stage at the same time. 👍
My favourite collaboration of all time.
John Farnham and Queen plus Mitch Tambo - You’re the Voice - MAGIC. Thank you for that performance.
What makes me smile it the cultural harmony. ❤
Traditional aboriginal music combined with western pop music is absolutely epic. 👌🏻
RIP Olivia Newton John :(
John, Australia's Beloved Son, you get better soon bloke, we love you & yes everyone cares aboutya. Was great to see Olivia, legendary to see Aboriginal version, loved that, anyway beat that Cancer, Lovesya!
Australians ate so blessed to have these legends. I'm moved to tears. 👍💯🥰💕💖💞
Yeah we are. So proud and lucky to be an Aussie ❤️🇦🇺
FABULOUS!!!🤩🤩🤩 That John Farnham could still sing like this at 70 is nothing short of AMAZING!!!😍 So glad that he recovered from his bout with cancer. Legend!
He and his voice have been blessings, this is what talent and integrity looks like!
Just discovered him and damn! What a voice! Just imagine if Freddie Mercury were still alive! Those two would just… wow!
If you just discovered him, look up the " Little River Band " on UA-cam to get a flavor of " the voice's pipes.👍
@@FrankNStein-mr1mpwill do… but any song title? I’ve looked for “The voice’s pipes” and I couldn’t find it anywhere… unless I misunderstood… 🤦♀️😅
Dear Lord, let the tears flow! Such love for Brian May and thrilled to have found John Farnham again! It has been quite a search.
This made me unexpectedly emotional. I remember the fires well - they were close to where I was living at the time.
Wow ... John Farnham still got the voice
I was watching this concert live at the stadium in 2020. The energy in atmosphere was electric. I am so proud to have watched this amazing performance!!
