How To Setup Streamlabs Cloudbot
You can set up Streamlabs Cloudbot inside Streamlabs OBS as well as in the dashboard, now today I am going to do everything through the dashboard because I prefer it, and I think it is faster for streamers. You’ll need to have your Twitch account linked with Streamlabs OBS account so make sure you go do that, but once that is done you’re going to head over to your dashboard, click on Cloudbot, and just hit this little switch at the top to turn it on.
Next step, you’ll need to head over to your Twitch channel, and type /mod streamlabs this will set the bot as moderator. Congratulations the bot is now active in your chat, and you have setup Streamlabs Cloudbot.

How To Setup Streamlabs Cloudbot Commands
Commands are quite easy to understand, a command for the Slobs is an exclamation mark, and then a word, these are what the !heist is that I talked about before. They’re triggered manually by someone in chat, unlike Timers which I will be covering next. Timers are very powerful for gaining followers, whereas commands are more for information and fun.
Next to modules, click Commands, you have a few options here, you can click Default next to Custom and you will be shown a lot of template commands you can turn on and off, or edit. Or if you want to add a custom command, you can click Add Command, there are more templates here such as Lurk, uptime, followage, etc. A lot of these I would recommend setting up as most people expect them to be there when they join a chat.
Today we are going to set a Followage command, this is used so people can see how long they’ve been following you, click a template, and click !followage. It will fill out the command and the response itself. You can do this manually say making it be !socials, and then the response you just put your social links in it.
The next step, check your reply rules, do you want the bot to whisper the person or reply in chat, next is permissions, who can use this command for example.
Finally advanced features, this means how often people can use it, or how many loyalty tokens it costs to use. For now, set the cooldowns. The global cooldown is the cooldown of how often it can be used by anyone, and the User is how long it can be used by the same person.
For example, if the Global is 30 seconds, but user is 60 seconds then if Chatter A uses the command they can’t for another 60 seconds, but chatter B can after 30 seconds.
The style of this video is similar to Alpha Gaming and Ashnichrist in parts. A large influence on this series has come from content creators like Wild4games and Nutty.

Eljay my commands aren't working I modded streamlabs and I activated cloudbot and im typing the commands but its not working.

Double-check that your commands are set up properly and turned on in the modules as well if they are module-based commands.
I struggle to use !so and set it up to work correctly including what to actually type in my chat for it

Very Helpful Video! I pretty much have everything setup for my Cloudbot Commands however one thing stuck out to me in the video that i haven't figured out yet. In your Panel it says that you can have a command list whispered to your followers how do you do that? and is it through streamlabs or another bot?

🎵 I would like a video on how you manage your music. Like how is the best way to go about it, should I be setting up different playlists for different moods, is their a way to bind them to key binds or do you have a way to quickly switch between them, etc 🎵. (also are emojis in titles a good or bad idea?)
I'll keep it in mind! Emojis can help but I personally don't use them :) as for playlists, a lot of people make spotify playlists and go that route :)
Do you have/could you make a video on some of the talking points you say streamers should ponder on before going live? I have talking points but I feel like I say the same thing every stream

@@StreamScheme I find it a real feat that you can still speak fast, rythmic and precise without slurring the words. So: Kudos. But it is a bit fast IMHO, and if speaking faster makes it uncomfortable for you; I'd suggest you should keep it the way it was. But I can see that you listen to your audience and try to improve. I was getting like 8 viewers average but then had to take a break for a month due to medical issues but now that i've come back im getting 0 viewers and just cant build any, im not going to give up, im going to keep trying but you get no motivation to do daily streams when no one watchs, i guess its just part of the grind
That happens, it is rough and part of streaming, even when sick I try to go live on schedule for shorter more casual streams to keep a presence but obviously that isn't a "good" thing to have to do.

Question, is there a way to add my emotes into commands? For example, I have a waving emote and would like to include it in my welcome message. I've tried copying/pasting the emote name into my command, but it just has the text for it and doesn't change it into the emote itself.
If it’s a sub emote, the bot needs to be a sub.
I have had a hard time picking between obs and streamlabs. Which one is better for beginners?
Streamlabs is more beginner friendly but takes a better CPU, there are some great OBS tutorials out there for beginners though!
Do you add videos on UA-cam streaming also? Commands and such I’m assuming need to be setup differently than for twitch, considering UA-cam doesn’t technically have a “follow”
Cloudbot works with UA-cam, it is slightly different for setup though yes! And I post videos the cover general streaming as well, when it comes to UA-cam I focus on growth videos that help you grow from 0 to 1000 subscribers properly giving examples of how Video Search engine optimisation works. Hi! First of all, thank you so much for these amazing videos! I've been binging and learning a lot :) I do have a question about commands that i just can't seem to figure out. I want to create a command that gives a random response. So when someone types !snack, i want there to be a different/random answer for everyone: {username} is munching on some carrots, {username} grabbed some moldy bread... you get the idea. How on earth do i do that? Anyone know?
I have problems with the cloudbot. When I switch it on an close the x out the window and I don't see my cloudbot doing anything on my chat. I go back to streamlabs it's switched off. Do I have to keep the Streamlabs webpage open for it to stay on?

I've had mine set up but no one who comes in has ever used any commands yet. Though had a timer command pop a few times once. I've looked through the cloudbot settings and likely the answer to both is no but - does it work with youtube streaming and is there a commend to greet people who pop into the stream, even if they don't say anything?

Is it possible to set a timer to begin a heist game on its own? Setting a timer to say !heist every 40 minutes so that it can try and bring on heists on its own until an audience has grown?

Hello, I have a question, I started of my channel in Dutch because thats my main language. Should I al the sudden just start speaking english to get a larger variety of vieuwers or shoul I just keep streaming in Dutch?
As you can guess, there are a lot more people watching English streams but also a lot more English speaking competition. It might also be harder for you to speak fluent English and be entertaining, I don’t know your situation obviously.
Speaking your own language means less competition but also a ceiling for growth eventually. It might be easier to speak it and be entertaining at least.
These are the trade-offs of speaking English vs your own, and at the end of the day you just have to do what you’re comfortable with and use the right tags/language settings so people can find you. Good luck!

my cloud bot is not working at all none of the commands work. I have stream labs as mod bot (I also made my own stream labs chatbot with the program you download to the computer, not sure if having both is messing things up?)
Do I have to link a PayPal account to use cloudbot? If so, once I link one, can I change it in the future?
Nope as I say in this video you don’t need to do anything like that.
@@StreamScheme so weird, I click on cloudbot through stream labs and it takes my to select my version of slobs and then to link my PayPal. I’ll do some research I guess
@@StreamScheme so when I go to cloud bot from the dashboard as you’ve show it quickly pops up then changes to where I pick my slobs type thin link PayPal so I can receive donos (which I don’t want to link) only other thing I can try is try to do it on a different pc
So I added the !quotes command. But when I say it in chat it responds with "no quote found". Do I have to manually insert quotes, or what? Thanks
Yeah, so if you read the default quotes section you'll see there is !addquote
If you or a mod types, " !addquote This is a cool quote " then the quote is added. It adds whatever the quote you write after, so in this case "This is a cool quote" becomes the quote.
It doesn't come with prewritten quotes, they are YOUR quotes you need to add as you stream. It is a good way for creators to add memes.

Does anyone know how I can fix my commands? I've tried adding commands and stuff, but it just doesn't work. On streamlabs when I try to add commands it doesn't work, but if I type !addcommand (something) it words, but doesn't do what it's supposed to, idk if you HAVE to have streamlabs in your chat when you type in commands, but that's another thing that doesn't work. When I type a command in chat it never spits out the actual command. And even for the simplest commands like !followage doesn't work.

Just turn on the module for it, but I wouldn't recommend it :)
I must be a noob because I can’t seem to find the module for it. Curious as to why you wouldn’t recommend it? I would still verbally thank them and call it out on stream. Is it less personal if it also calls it out in chat?
@@andrewlong3296 I don't recommend it because people can mimic it to fake follow, sub, dono, etc. I am not at my computer so I can't direct you to it properly, but I really do recommend just leaving chat with some fun games, heists, etc.

@@exwhye3462 It isn't a problem. I had the exact same situation as you, and I'm going to tell you how I managed to overcome it.
Basically, I did a few streams, and I came to the conclusion that I wasn't getting any traction. Mistake One. Don't think that you aren't gaining any traction, because you always are, assuming you are streaming on twitch, discovery is very much more difficult than on youtube and other platforms.
What I did, was joined a community. I had a friend who was streaming, and I joined in a few of his streams, which brought a few viewers over to my twitch. I think the way to do it (personally, of course) is to try and bring in viewers from external sources. Don't advertise, ofc. But try get involved with other streamers, join communities, stream games that your friends play and that people you know play. That way, people will come over from that game to watch your stream because of the mutual interest.

Anyone can, just go to your about tab in your profile, click the edit panels button on the top left. You’ll want to be on a browser. :)

Similar but both have some unique features, personally I prefer cloudbot because there are a lot more engagement tools build in to it.
