Best video i've ever seen on youtube, I'm not even kidding, this is invaluable, cakewalk is awesome but so mysterious and complex, thanks a lot for explaining this so clearly.
Woah..!! Dude, you sure know your way around the shortcuts... and these one button features I never knew existed..!!! I stopped at 4 minutes into the vid to type this... MIND ALREADY BLOWN..!!!
7:52 - On an combined instrument track you can select MIDI-tab of the inspector. Then you can drag and drop MIDI-effects in the FX-container of the inspector.
Soooooo many thanks for this man, really useful for me. I started using cakewalk a few days ago, and your vids helps me a lot understanding how to use this beautiful DAW. I'm using it tryin to compose my jazzy-ambient-sperimental music ideas, and your tuts are so precious. Thank you again ! Greetings from Italy
Cool that you reviewed the ARPs, I forget about them from time to time. Now, here's something folks may not know from an old-hat Cakewalk guy. The ARP patterns are actually files with .PTN extension. Cakewalk used to sell a sequencer called Project 5 (P5) where you could create these files. It would be tough to find a legal copy now, but the good thing is that users created these files, and you can still find them for download. I found some. I'm going to experiment a bit to see if/how to get them into Cakewalk. If I can, I'll update this comment.
Well done Sir ! Before watching, i was sure i will find help here. And i do. Thanks Friend, u match it, again, as usual with Ur work about CAKEWALK. Alban (a friend from France).
Great. How can we see the actual played midi notes? The method you showed did not work for me. I used podolski synth and it has an own arpeggiator. Made the sound from the full notes, but bonce to clip did not show me the arpeggiated notes. Could you please advise? I guess other synths that have their own arpeggiators have the same issue? Many thanks!
Is there any way to bounce to clips and show all the individual Arps notes with other Arps plugins such as LibreArp. Iv'e tried it and nothing happens-with LibreArp that is. Thanks
I really appreciate your videos. I enjoyed listening to the opening and closing music. Sounding nice. I didn't know what an arp was, now I understand that is shorthand for a midi arppegiator. I also didn't know Cakewalk by Bandlab (CbB) has two. This is a really nice overview.
Great explanation and I tried to apply it to BlueARP but couldn't work it out. I'm very new to Cakewalk and the whole DAW/vst scene so how does this work with BlueARP in cakewalk. It has an interesting sequencer along with the Arp so I'd like to give it a try.
Sorry ai have no idea what BlueArp is I have never heard of it.... If it's a plugins that generates midi you might want to try it as a generator on a separate track and have the sound you want to use on another track if you have issues setting it up you can try this video ... Hope this helps...ua-cam.com/video/jBGCZY7byys/v-deo.html
That's what's up... Glad you got it working ... Yea Cakewalk had like 2 different ways to use arps I like the midi one at the bottom .. but some people prefer the midi tools... Have fun creating let me know if you have questions..😀🙏🏾
It will not be under midi only Cakewalk stuff will be under midi... BluArp or any 3rd party will show under vst instrument weather it's for midi or not... If you can't find it under the instruments type it in the search and it should show up you will have to use it like a midi generator I have a video showing how to do that and I have a video showing how to load any vst in any DAW ... Hope this helps..😀🙏🏾
That wouldnt go well... Lol.. Let me explain.. People hear what they want to there are thousand dollar libraries that sounds like crap but people will swear by them then you have free stuff like LABS soft piano and some will say its better than the expensive library.. Its all a matter of preference.. Some realistic pianos are not as good as the fake ones..lol

This is just my theory..... arpesque should be written as arp-esque, and relates to early 70's / 80's synths
