Another Gem! Love this style of video, your videos are really convincing me of going to 37s for my Mojave. Even the "easy" trails in Colorado have obstacles where having larger wheels would have its advantages, if nothing to reduce the belly scraping and banging of the rear control arms.
Thanks so much for joining us! There are a few things to keep in mind when going 37s like a truss and gears but for the most part 37s are fine stock. I ran 37 ko2s on 4:10s and without a truss for almost a year with no problems but the front axle can break if something really rough happens. But yea, the gladi is so long it loves to drag its belly. Even on 37s 😅
The trail to Chinaman's Gulch is almost as hard as Chinaman's Gulch itself. Good idea to turn around if you don't feel good about it like your friends did. Mount Evans is not in site from that area It is seen from Denver. Nice video, thank you! What tires are you running? Nice rig
I realize that after the fact i was confusing evans with massive. 😔 christian made sure to remind me i got it wrong every chance she got. 😂 we have 37” STT pros.
Looks like a fun and challenging trail! Thanks for the video. That dude in the Wrangler takes terrible lines. Never seen someone high center themselves so many times LOL.
We're from eastern PA, but we've been to the Salida/Buena Vista area twice in the last three years camping/overlanding (Colorado Camp Tour😊). I've known about Chinaman for awhile, but ju😮st haven't done it because of being solo. Looks like a blast though! Thanks for sharing.
Not sure how your channel came up on my feed but me and my wife were like thats us lol! We've been hitting trails here in CO for about a year in a ZR2 Silverado. We hit Radical Hill in Reverse when a storm came in half way down like your latest videos. Talk about butt clenching 😅. Hope to see you guys on a trail sometime soon!!
Haha im glad to know we arent alone with the constant SNAFUS and who only camp in the rain. 😅 I still have flashbacks to Radical hill. That off camber stuff is wild. We will be around Breck this weekend (assuming all goes well) I think the plan is Peak 10 on Friday around 1 if youre in the area wed love to run it with you.
Nice wheeling guys! @Greg - on those rock sections, better to be in e-save, 4lo and off-road+, and use M1 or 2 to deaden the throttle down to min... otherwise the 4xe just wants to launch itself and run away with all that instant torque
Looks like tons of fun. Jeep looking awesome. After I get my JLU paid off I'm hoping in a couple years I can pick up a Gladiator. I know everyone fawns over Rubicons but I got my eye on a Sport S with the Max tow. Level it, throw a cap on the back, steel bumper on the front with a winch, some new wheels with a more negative offset (or just wheel spacers if youre cheap) and throw on some 35s and you have a nice overland setup for way cheaper than a Rubicon. Sure, it can't do all the same obstacles, but they're more capable than people give them credit for.
Youre totally right! If youre planning on building it up a little a sport s is the way to go! I think i only used the lockers once on chinaman, so its really not a deal breaker. And ARB air lockers arent bad if you decide you really want a locker. Thanks so much for watching, we appreciate you joining us on our adventure’
@@barelymadeit my JLU is a Sport S and so far it's never struggled on any of the trails I've taken it on. If you're gonna be at the Great Smokey Mountain Jeep Invasion this year hit me up and we can wheel together, maybe.

The Grey JL picks some not so ideal lines on all of the hard sections. Keep your tires on the highest points in the trail and you will not get hung up so much. You really need to be looking far ahead and picking your lines, what are you guys aired down to?
Haha yea greg likes to pick the weird lines, i think he finds it fun to see what it takes to do them. I was aired down to 13psi. I think greg was at like 18 and the bronco was at street pressures. 😬
Overland is the only way to go. Driving 2 hours than running a trail than back no thanks. Its nice getting up on a trail than camping, cooking having a fire and drink. Wake up in the morning and roll to another trail system its the best !!
So... just say'n. The locals pronounce it B-ue-na Vista like B U E na. But you do you. Also, did you just drive this recently or is it left over from last year?
Thats cool to know! Ive never been told that before by a local. Paul was born and raised in CO and just let me butcher it. Ill have to talk to him about that. 😅 yes we drove them both just this past saturday/sunday.

Enjoyed watching your adventure. Nice production and really appreciated the way you and Greg tackled a very difficult trail in your nice rigs. 💪
I appreciate the compliment! Thank you for joining us! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Love seeing a 4XE wrangler hitting the rocks! Any chance the owner can post some info on how it's built?
Its awesome right! Greg has the 2.5” mopar lift on 37s with a dif skid from MC. He also has the gobi rack. Nothing else. Pretty impressive.
