Love your videos! You guys do such a good job of capturing the beauty of where your at and the challenging parts of each trail. Hope someday you'll make a video of the trail to Wheeler Lake. It's not an overland trail, just an offroad out and back but it's challenging and fun and views at the top are amazing. It's a favorite of ours.
Nice video !! Ive ran peak 10 twice but always in August or September. They might not open it till later or they were doing work. I love the trails in that area they are really amazing !!
For keeping the kids warm did they have the Buddy heater you mention in your camping gear section? (Also, gotta agree with the comment about the dog whining, that was a challenge to get through). Finally, Christian rocks for trying to rally the family to stay another night!
Yea we didnt want to put them in the truck bed with the buddy heater alone. Just for safety. Its too enclosed. I agree with you on Loki. Its just too much so were working on having family or friends watch him when we can. 😞 Christian will love to hear that. 😀 To be honest quinn was just getting to be a little too much, i think she wasnt feeling super great so that was part of it.
Hiking on a off-road trails is not hiking its walking up a dirt road. Hiking is going where vehicles including motorcycles can't go. It's also on no trail at all. These Colorado people are very silly. I was a very serious hiker and mountain climber in Alaska in the 1990s I knew tons of people they would not call that hiking on a dirt road.
@@123-o8u1j agreed, walking an offroad trail isnt hiking. I think i mentioned how we just “took a walk on the trail” specifically because i know its not hiking. 😅 thats why we have a jeep. So we dont have to hike. (Im not in shape for all that) 😂
@barelymadeit I was not talking about you but those people walking up the trails all over. I do the same I'll off-road up and camp then a little walk. But if I see a rig I get off the trail. Some people don't they think they own it. Some trails have alot of hikers and some don't. Most are friendly.
have not seen the low gas reading unless it's because it really is...does it show that for both steep incline AND decline ?? I see in Jeep Gladiator forum many people have similar false readings.....imagine if it said FULL and it was really almost empty --- now that could suck
Man im serious its a pain. Especially after running all day and coming down the mountain. We are always like “are we gonna run out”. It only happens on declines never inclines, but this was the worst ive ever seen it. Hopefully the pickup isnt in a location that will cause it to stop running.
I apologize but your doggos are so damn loud it's hard tk enjoy the video. I've tried numerous times to watch your vids but I just can't deal with the constant whining. Good luck to you and yoir channel, it is still great content. This is just something I can't overlook. To those that think I'm jist crazy, I'm not. I have a dog and have had 4 prior with puppies. Not sure why but the whining is just ridiculously ringy to me. May be a mic problem, but I can't watch without getting a minor headache. Gave a thumbs up to support you and your family. 🙏
I couldnt agree more! We appreciate your support for sure and this is something we are desperately trying to find a solution to. I hate to just leave him with family/friends, but it seems thats really our only choice.
Get a diesel heater for heat, go with the 5k and you will turn it down, I assume you could split the heat and it hardly uses a half a gallon for 8 hours
mic check! mic check is this thing on ??
Great job! Love trips like that. Low stress and fantastic weather. The RTT looks great!

Thanks so much! It was just a bummer because it was supposed to be open and then boom it wasnt. 🤪 par for the course I guess.
What bathroom setup did you use for the family?
Se use a ozark toilet seat and the toilet bags.
Awesome! Question, please I see you have the sunrider for hardtop. How is it? Do you recommend it? Leaks? Noise on trips? I'm in the market for one
❤ your channel, located in Evergreen Co. Hope to see you on the trails.
Thanks so much! We hope we see you out there too! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

@@barelymadeit One thing to try for Loki might be to give him just a small milk bone treat before recording.
@@junk9636 thats actually a great idea.
Jefferson not Como. From Como it’s Boreas pass that goes from Como to Breckinridge. Georgia pass goes from Jefferson to Breckinridge.
Good call! Youre 100% correct.
I did the Crystal Lake trail last year and found a lot of people hiking on the trail up to the lake. So many that the trail wasn’t enjoyable.
Oh thats a bummer. There were a few people hiking but it was at 6:30am in the morning. The previous night there was nobody.

Unfortunately the family life isn’t always as quiet and picture perfect as one might imagine. Try it with 3 dogs! Barely noticed your dogs btw

This 👆🏻 it was exactly what ive been thinking! Just go to the depot and get some type of hvac splitter hose.
Diesel heaters come in handy for drying out sleeping bags and wet clothes.
Aloha
🌺 aloha!! 😀 we need to go wheel in Hawaii! That would be amazing!
